  1. Hey dude I'd say no on both. But don't be put off. Make them and make your own thread on the Minifig Customisation board. Purist figures are only made with OFFICIAL Lego pieces (and I'd say stickers that came in an official set.) No cutting, gluing, painting.
  2. Krikkit - maybe use a Bionicle piece as a shield.
  3. It's a Lego Friends hairpiece. Go to Bricklink, select catalogue. Search by Minifigure, and Lego Friends.
  4. Purist wise? I've seen people use a Catwoman head for Spider-Woman/Black Widow (as she's known in the Ultimate Universe.) Ben Reilly maybe go for darker blues on the arms and legs? As for Kaine/Scarlet Spider. Can't think of a Purist way as yet. just a two tone red with black toso with a Spider-man head.
  5. I think it works well. I just tried it to photograph for you. I'm going to use it for my All New Marvel Now 1 armed Thor custom I think.
  6. Can I change mine? I used to live in Scotland when I first joined (10 years ago!) but I'm a Londoner born, bread and back there now. Maybe "Purist Perfectionist"? Because I mainly do Purist Minifigs? Or "Picky Purist"? And how does one get a customiser badge? Do I also get a reward for the most question marks used in a post?
  7. As long as they're purist figures just post them all! That's the only rule here. Be sure to name each one.
  8. Looking forward to it. The guys here are all super nice and supportive. Proud to be part of the group PUN KING! That makes it all worthwhile. I'm so happy with the Cap Falcon. Legs tie it together. I reckon Visiton might be a good fit for Iron Lad. I'm going to do a Hulkling one day, using minifig Hulk's head. Thanks dude. I was actually doing Thunderstrike, but he ended up as Ultimate Thor. Thunderstrike will come. ONE DAY.
  9. Welcome! Sounds like a lot of cool figures! With your superior Spider-Man I'd maybe use different colour spider arms. His were red in the comic, and the nearest PURIST colour is Dark Brown. And if you don't want to upset the AFOLS (Adult Fans of Lego) don't say LEGOS! The plural is just Lego. :P Here's a few of my latest. Ultimate Thor. Ages of Thunder Thor Wiccan from the Young Avengers (props to the first person who did it here who I've based it off) And last but by no means least, Falcon Captain America. I'm really really happy with this one. As ever more on my Flickr. And in case you didn't see it I modded the official Avengers tower to be a bigger display piece.
  10. Superb job. Caps helmet from Ultron's next?
  11. Thanks. I wanted something that I could put a load of figures in and it not look too rammed. I may replace some of the 1x1 bricks with side attachment bricks so I can have people flying around it or webbing up.
  12. Rhodey was feeling left out so here's Star War Machine. Cosmic Ray enhanced deep space Armour for War Machine. More pics on Flickr.
  13. I think Fuller. I prefer him with no mask but with a tash. Longbow hunters!
  14. Yeah I was debating bulking it up but I like that it's a thin spire that works as a lightening mast/comm tower. I wanted to keep the spin as well.
  15. So two Attack on Avengers Tower later I've done a mod on the Avengers' HQ. I decided to go wider rather than taller so I can use it as a display piece on a shelf. I decided to go for a middle doll's house style open for greater playability. I kept the Iron Legion launches and the Ultron assembly as they were too cool to part with. I expanded the sickbay because, let's face it, more than one Avenger will be injured after a battle. I added the blender from Stark's mansion. My favourite bit of course is my Iron Man lab. I re-jigged the turntable from the mansion and added the arms that came with one of the towers. Because of the space you can get a couple of suits around him. The turntable can go 360 degrees, and the window behind opens so he can fire off. On the other side I put in a small hall of armour. I kept the blow out window feature but added the panes from the mansion. There's space for a couple more suits and it looks good because the two behind are slightly raised. Having this lab meant I had to move the Sceptre scanner to Stark's upstairs office, but the extra width afforded that. All in all I'm really happy with this mod. I haven't done one in a long while and I think this turned out well. Overall I think I'm most proud of the back of the building where I made more space but also made it look cool. Let me know what you guys think. Action shots coming to Flickr soon!
  16. Hey gang So I've done another couple of Iron Man Armours. They are completely made up but think you'll like them. First up is my version of a Prototype Spider-Armour. In my eyes Tony Stark made this before doing Spidey's. Next up is my Red Menace Armour. This is what Tony takes to the Negative Zone to fight Annihillus with the Fantastic Four. More pictures on my Flickr.
  17. Which Aquagirl? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb842 There's that or a Catwoman with flesh arms. Then flesh legs with a crotch to match the torso.
  18. I've not posted in a while (kids/money) but I've had this figure ready for posting for a while. Turns out the Iphone 6 is a fairly good Lego camera, so here's my version of Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) Here's a reference pic: I decided to fiddle with the colour scheme to stay Purist and to get the feeling of the character. I initially tried an epaulette but it didn't work. I'm really happy with this figure.
  19. The ORB is PERFECT. And he's super important in the latest Marvel crossover.
  20. Iamrid you are a genius!!! Strong Guy and Puck are brilliant.
  21. The Legends Beast and Mixels are a goldmine for Mech builders. Good work!
