Heroica RPG - Quest #139: Around the World (West)
Scubacarrot replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Guts stands ready to attack, his one arm wrapped around his ring, for some reason. Quickly, he gets back in a proper fighting stance, they had skeletons to defeat, this was not the time for tricks. Guts throws a Wyvern's Breath, then attacks the Marauders and C from the back row with Lifestealer and Balanced Rapier. Matthias attacks B, if he is damaged and NOT healed he stands down, otherwise he attacks again. David Throws the Neptune Bomb, and stands ready to heal as needed. Battle order: David Dyric Dyric Guts Guts Matthias David Matthias- 603 replies

In my eyes, the difference between third party sellers and 'knock off brands' is answered by the question: are you a competitor of Lego's or are you supplementing Lego/making things Lego doesn't make. Of course, in the 'knock off brand' there is another distinction of a brand that copies Lego or makes it's own things with the plastic building block as the base, but that's not the question here. The real question is wether or not you are allowed to sell custom made stuff on bricklink. If people have told you that you should be able to, I would just keep doing it, if I were you, especially if you make it clear that what you are selling is not actual Lego. The fact of the matter is that bricklink has a part of it's community that is viciously purist and hostile to anything they perceive as even a slight threat to the way they make money. If I were you, I would not worry of them reporting you, and keep selling your things. If you are still unsure, the best thing to do would be to contact Bricklink themselves, hopefully they will be able to give you the clearest answer!

"You know what, I see how it is, sod this." He'd never used it before, but if there ever was a time to, now would be it. As a last resort, Guts uses his ring, the Beholder's eye, to reroll the last round.- 603 replies

It's kind of impressive how I've never been on an Endgame quest, honestly. We should fix it!

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Dust is an anagram for Duts. There's three different words in that sentence. In the alphabet, which letter is three across from D, it's G. Duts becomes: Guts. Confirmed.

I meant for him to use them. Prince David throws Baffle Bomb and Aeolus Bomb. Matthias attacks Crew C from the back row, twice if not damaged, once if damaged. Guts throws a Purging Water at the enemy party, and attacks the Cabin bow with the Balanced Rapier and the Marauders from the back row with Mythril Edge. "You thought I was a forty something bald man the entire time..." "Acting." Duh, Heroica funds it. That cut the veterans supposedly get from every quest can't all be being spend on alcohol. Can it...?

Capitalism is an economic system, not a political one. Eubric, as a freeport, is by definition capitalistic, and without market regulation or a tax system, and Guts believes it should stay this way. It allows Eubric to remain as competitive as it can be, while still bringing wealth to Eubric through trickle-down economic structures.

Actually, they've quested together before. Their freaking souls were linked together for the best part of that quest. If that doesn't help, I don't know what will. If someone can make a compilation of every character in the game that has used generic police officer face #1, that would be great. I mean, we all know there is one big conspiracy going on, we just don't have the big picture yet.
-
What...!? Guts and Pretzel have talked before... I think...
-
I just don't think he has the wow-factor. I mean, his face has been a trans-light-blue clear head for the longest time. I just don't think that resonates with the people. "Vote Boomingham, at least he's honest."

I think Eubric is more important than you'd think. Eubric is an amazingly important force in keeping the oceans around Uland relatively, if not only slightly safe from pirates. Which is very important for trade with a whole bunch of different regions. On top of that, it houses two majorly important trading companies in the region, namely the Hinckwells and the Shadeaux. As well as the Guild of Invision, which supply and train a major amount of alchemists and by extension potions, and perhaps more importantly tonics for who knows how many people. I think Lind's flaw in logic is that he believes he doesn't want it, but he's vying for power, so surely that makes him feel like he is the best candidate, making him want it, even if not for personal gain. That's kind of much, as that implies every other candidate wants to rule because of some egotistical gain, which I don't think is true. I think most candidates supplied by the houses, as well as Boomingham and Guts, just think that they would be able to do the best job in making Eubric a better place for everybody. I can't speak for the other candidates, but Guts understands that principle completely. He doesn't want to be king out of vanity, lust for power or greed, but he sees Eubric, and he sees a mess of a city, but through his encounters with Eubric's citizens, he also sees so much potential. Guts knows that some force is needed to move the people to reaching just some of that potential. Now, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, and Guts would be the first to attest that, and that's why Guts is the perfect candidate. He's most likely going to be dead in a few years and cares very little about legacy. He can do what needs to be done for a time, and when the city is on it's way to recovery, or even evolves on it's way to being more than it was, the next person or group of people can take over.

Guts replaces the Orange Mask of Z with Grimmeau's Clothespin. He also hands Prince David his Baffle Bomb, his Neptune Bomb and his Aeolus Bomb. "Dyric, your mulled wine might just come in handy, and I'm not saying that because it's so cold. If we can survive two hits instead of one, that might just be enough."- 603 replies

Also, he managed to mess up one Kingdom, surely we can't trust him with another!

It's all moot anyways, there can only be one true king. and his name is john cena.

I wonder how it will work for the Wolfgang. Surely Ulric would be the de-facto candidate
