Eurobricks Event 2013 - Information Topic
Scubacarrot replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I think she means she wants to see the tube, out in Munich. Alternatively it's like rocking or freaking out. "Hey dude, I'm totally tubing out right now." -
Not intended. Looking back, I really should have said: Sorry guys, I'll rebuild and then rehost. But yeah... So all I can do is apologize and do my best.
-
IF I'm ever going to do another quest, I will take all pictures beforehand and then proceed to copy them to all the data sticks and devices that will hold them.
-
I'm really trying to get it moving now. The camera is not really the problem. The problem was the fact that random folders on my pc went missing, including the one with 3/4 of this quest pictures. Forcing me to rebuild and be slow. The camera(phone) I'm using is generally fine (especially the pictures of the slave market were pretty good I think) , although sometimes it apparantly does not want to take pictures in slightly dark rooms, like now. I realized how long we've been going on now a few days ago, and really hadnt considered it, I feel like the party hasn't actually done that much. Damn you too long stories to fit in a reasonable amount and computers that have ghosts in them. I am going to cut (quite) a bit of content to make it be done faster.

Camera's having issues again... Update tomorrow!

Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Scubacarrot replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
The gnome dressed in red got pulled up to the stage, and after paying the money, got handed the orc, in chains and some papers. The gnome proceeded to stand in the crowd, now with the orc next to him, unlike the woman who bought the female slave earlier, who had left. Only one slave remained on the stage, the man with black hair. Blackhawk continued: "Yes, very good indeed. It's always nice to see new bidders, shame you did not quite win, but perhaps you can try your luck again. Right, so this fellow..." Unlike the others, Blackhawk did not have the man unchained. "...Is a bit of a special case. Normally, slaves like this we send to the mines right away, but I thought to myself, you know what? Some of my customers like a challenge. And that's why today we have here, a slave that killed his master with a rock. He's been a slave since birth, but went crazy. Who is up to tame this bad man? Starting bid is only a 100 gold, go!" Unlike with the other slaves, no one bid right away... -

"Hm, I like it the way it is. The Nostrum gives a kick, the salts take that kick away, and the mead washes away the taste of the salt. Mixing it would taste like mud. Although I do hear elves have an affinity for mud." -

It's a Greatsword. Guts stands back, taking a dose of Nostrum, Smelling Salts and Mead. -
Depends, if Mizuki keeps it with fruit and confectionary, no one would think any worse than she just stocked up good. If entire feasts are pulled out of the backpack, that's a different question. That actually reminds me of a character called Nakor from Raymond E. Feist's books, he had a backpack that had a portal in it, that connected to the warehouse of a fruit seller or something, so he could continually pull fruit out of his bag.

"I shall be leading, wherever neccesary. Who are these inquisitors? I haven't heard of them before." Guts turns to the party: "Nagure, want to borrow this Sword, Fafnir? It looks to be a bit sharper than your axe." Stats are good. -

Yes. The only bidder left seems to be a gnome, who waits a bit, then bids 420 gold. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Scubacarrot replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
"How should I know if any of the slaves are Mortimer?" Skrall saw that the Minotaur bid, but did not hold the highest bid right now, that was a gnome on the front row. Before Skrall realizes it: "Sir on the first row, 400 gold? Who bids? " -
Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job

"No. I haven't seen any of them." Meanwhile, the bids on the women had continued to rise, and eventually she was sold off to the women who had started bidding, for an amount of around 700 gold. Zoe remarked: "That's a lot of coin, but is it a lot for a human life?" Blackhawk quickly had the next slave unchained and brought next to him, he started speaking: "I'd say that was a succesful auction. Next up, this big fella, Orc, Steelaxe clan. Slave since youth. His tongue doesn't work, so he does not speak. He is sold because his previous mistress died - of natural causes -" This sparked another laugh from the crowd. "He has the skills for all kinds of household jobs, but you'd probably want to use him as a silent, mysterious bodyguard, am I right? Bidding starts at 250 gold." Almost immediately, the bid was raised to 300 gold, does the party want to anything? If they want to, they'd have to be quick. -
"I must say I just don't see the practical purpose..."
-
"Oh, it's you, hm, I don't hate you, kid. Your name is unfortunate. The woman who took the Darkstar - and the man attached to it - was also called Sorrow. Strange coincidence, eh? I can lead our group, I have lead two groups in Heroica in the past and have been succesful both times."
-
"Aye, Guts. Appearing buildings... What is even the point? You'll have to bring me up to speed while we travel."
-
"Hm, I think we will get along just fine. I'm interested in the rest our party. I know Mizuki and Nerwen, but I can't say I know this Nagure or this Sorrow."
-
"The gem is trouble, I was part of a group send to find it. It's... not good. It makes the people around it ill and it can change their way of thinking, and it can be used for dark purposes. We made the mistake of allowing the gem to go away, I intend to rectify that mistake. As for suddenly appearing towers, I've only heard rumours of suddenly appearing buildings, it seems ridiculous, doesn't it?"

Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Scubacarrot replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
The dwarf that bid earlier raised the bid up to 550 gold. Suddenly, Zoe stood behind Boomingham, and whispered: "These guys have obviously been doing this for longer than today. The place is well guarded. There's no way you can reach the stage or the caged slaves unnoticed. If you want to do something for these slaves, I suggest you buy the ones you might be able to afford. Otherwise, you can try the frontal assault. Stupid idea, but there you go. Don't overcomplicate things, remember our objective." -
Guts moved slightly to the left so the man could see the notices. Guts said: "Maurice Ratabor, I presume? You don't particuarly strike me as a Nagure or a Sorrow. My name's Guts, I'll be joining you on this 'adventure'."

Boomingham and Ellaria walk to the other side, where they speak against the Weredog wielding the curved sword. Ellaria's and Boomingham's play gets one response out of him: "Blackhawk explain. Follow auction. I no business, I slice bad slave or bad customer. Go." The Minotaur takes a short look at Skrall, before answering: "They usually sell when they got enough wares, Blackhawk's alright, been around long. I'm trying to follow the auction, got my eye on the orc, excuse me." The Minotaur now ignores Skrall. Meanwhile the bids for the female slave have risen to 530 gold, First a dwarf on the front row bid, then a man to the back wearing a red turban, and then the woman who bid first, who still holds the highest bid... -
Guts looked down and saw a man posting the chosen heroes for Quest 52. Guts smirked, he had only come back to the hall for a day or two. Nevertheless, Guts quickly packed up his stuff and was ready to go in no time. Guts checked the list again to see who his companions for this one would be. Some of the heroes he had never met, Maurice Ratibor, Nagure, and... Sorrow? That could not be right. Guts looked around suspiciously, but could not find anything out of the ordinary. The raider took a breath, if Sorona would have been able to infiltrate here, that'd be a real problem. With him as well was Mizuki, the good-humoured rogue that was with him on Quest 44 as well, and Nerwen, who he knew he had insulted with his actions back there, but Guts knew it had been the right thing. Demons are not to be trifled with, after all. Guts proceeded to leen against the Questing Board, hoping to get a hold of his fellow questees before they'd leave.
