A scary, dangerous, independant woman is not the same as a badass. May be. But he still owes me money.

Perhaps we can make a deal. You can have Hlin?

Guts slapped Maurice on the back of the head, nudging him to do as he just instructed. -
For those that aren't aware, that is a 100 damage against each of his teammates, aka Guts knocking everyone out, and stealing their gold. in the process.
-
I feared we had to deal with Hexed. How I expect the hexed thing will work? Guts rolling Ravage against his own party.

"Your choice, Haroka, a slow death it is. Sorrow, go for the green one, it's the only one you might assassinate. Nerwen, I need you to try and get Wither to sleep, if you succeed on the first try, try to seal Haroka next. Maurice, attack Haroka, try to stun him if you can. Nagure, help with Floodgate, if you will. Hlin, you do nothing for now, from the back row, your weapon won't hurt floodgate, and I don't want to risk you doing anything else, for now. Mizuki, remember your shuriken will do double damage to the red one." Guts attacks Floodgate with Lifestealer from the front row. Hlin doing nothing Nagure Maurice Guts Mizuki Sorrow Nerwen -
Not completely, but I try to make sure the party does not completely die on the first round no matter what they do. On second glance, the battle is a bit less scary than I initially feared, but the Cursed on hit and a 1/6 chance for Hexed are still very very hard to deal with, as well as high damage and insta-kill chances all around, and a lot of health to chip away.

No offense or anything, but did you test roll this battle, Rumble?

Look. Here's something that could happen: Cronk: "Cronk just bashed more evil than Cronk can count!" Docken in raspy voice: "I just killed hundreds of foes. They could not get past my defenses. Then I killed them, armed with nothing but my bow, shield and a complete lack of roleplaying." Atramor: "I just murdered an army of metasimians WITH MY BARE HANDS, badass style." Whiplash of hair, stare in camera, whispers: "I'm a voodoo pirate." Enter random mage: Mage: "Hey dudes, I just defeated some enemies with a firebolt out of my hands!" Cold stares. It's the truth.

I know, right! Now I think they should take the deal, with Guts being very intimidating and all. Sorry dude, mages can't be badass. It's a ground rule. Gandalf the grey (not white) being one of the very few exceptions.

You are misinterpretating. We allow the inquisitors to leave. Haroka gets no such comfort. The only deal was offered to him, was that of a quicker death. Which considering Guts is a sadistic jerk, could still be pretty slow.
-
To be fair, that one was mind controlled.

It would not really be that big of a deal to have more of the same class in a party. If you want to be all supereffective and stuff, then maybe... Since we are nearing the end, it seems, I must say that Quest 52 has been very enjoyable all around!

Heroica RPG - Quest#52: Tower of Doom

Guts takes the Stag Antlers for himself, for the time being. Intimidating, with the stag antlers in his hand, he says: "Sorona is gone. We decided to wipe her and her pathetic sisterhood off the map. You know she was plotting against you? Couldn't even keep her in check, could you? We massacred your little army, toppled your tower and killed your girlfriend. We easily dispatched one of your inquistors already. I am prepared to give you three one chance. To run. We won't pursue, just leave and go far, far away." While Guts says the last words, he pulls out Lifestealer with his free hand. "There is no hope for you, General, your tower has fallen, and now you will fall too. You should have kept your promise. Kept going, and stayed away. Surrender now, and your dead will be quicker. Don´t, and you will end up like Sorona, pathetic, weak and crying for your life." The Raider starts scraping Lifestealer over the antlers, creating an agonizing sound. Finally, he adds: "Besides, I got a giant seamonster." -

Guts drinks the Nostrum. He then starts walking to where the top part of the tower landed, signalling the party to follow him. -
The game is currently 50% off on Steam.

"Prepare for battle, if you have any consumables, I want you to use them now. If anyone that was in there is still alive, they are probably not very happy." Guts drinks the last mead he has left. And takes a sidewise look into the ocean, hoping to catch a glimpse of the seamonster. "Something tells me the Bonapartes are not going to like this. Heh." -
I don't see what you mean.

Can I keep it?

Guts grins wickedly, this was a whole lot of power, at his command. The raider lift his hand in the air. As he closed it to a fist, he shouted: "Bring it down." -

Not trying to be nitpicking or anything, but Sandy ruled a while back that all weapons need to be a weapon class. "While I'd hate to rush, I fear Hlin is right, we know how this should work, we might as well get to it. To the beach!" -
Alexander does double damage because he has a darkness elemental weapon, and humanoids take double damage from darkness.
