  1. In terms of brand new early 2026 minifigures, this missing version of Cad Bane will be everything to me. Even if i wasn't as big of a fan of this character, it would probably still be my clear standout figure. I can not wait to change my profile picture into one of my next most wanted minifigs. Might be waiting a whole while until it officially gets made, though.
  2. An inclusion of Tarkin would sweeten the TIE Advanced deal quite considerably to me. Would need to wait for appropriate discounts based on the potential smart brick nonsense alone, but since i do that with nearly every other set anyway it would make little no no difference to me. And good thing I've got nothing to do with Lego's design team, then. I constantly forget about Space Troopers being a thing, too. About Clone Troopers being mostly disliked in modern era... Personally, wouldn't bet on that. Realistically, we don't know that for certain. We can only make assumptions based on the famous online bubble, which makes but a fraction of the overall picture. Obviously some people who used to love their Clone Troopers back then ain't a fan of how they evolved now. Kids on the other hand didn't care about the finer printed details back in the day and they probably won't care now. But are there more kids into Lego Star Wars (not that Lego is dependant on them as much anymore) now than say... a decade or so ago? Again, we don't know. All we do know for sure is that Lego is very keen on keep pumping out Clones to it's consumers. Since they got started in 2020, this year, in fact, the Extravaganza reached new heights. And that, of course, is in no small part thanks to people who are obsessed with army building. So many Lego channels are wholly centered around the idea of massive minifigure hauls. A target group, while always intended by Lego upon initially releasing Battle Packs, never quite had the reach as it has nowadays. So in conclusion, while certainly not without it's fair shair of critics or folks feeling the fatigue, love it or loathe it, looks like Lego Star Wars Clone Troopers were never more asked for than they are since their comeback. Otherwise you can't explain their omnipresence for what is soon to be the better part of this decade!
  3. Given the rather classic selection of sets, the minifigure line-ups basically write themselves. There may be enough wiggle room to replace one trooper with another, but other than that... there is quite a limited element of surprise at play here. Suffice to say, a Tarkin figure would be a big get to me. Yeah, that's usually how it goes. Just wanted to say that you come across quite mature in your postings, but maybe that's just me. What you describe is basically... real life communication? When you are in any kind of relationship, significant other, friends, family, or in this case interacting with folks in an online forum, you are bound to talk about the same "boring" stuff from time to time. As it's natural to repeat yourself every once in a while. It's legit to feel burned out about this form of conversation sooner or later, but i don't see the appeal of criticizing something so ordinary. Repetitive as it may be, there were, are and always will be predictions about something. It's par for the course. As some people just love to speculate about stuff they want or don't want to see. And who is to say something will never happen? There has been some unlikely stuff happening in the last couple of years. And why was that? Because enough people relentlessly reiterated the same tired old stuff over and over again online. I disagree with every cell of my body. These postings are part of the fun and an additional reason to follow this thread. And given the amount of effort @CloneCommando99 puts into these, even considering those as spam is mind baffling. I admire his passion... his persistence. And if some of it gets a good chuckle out of someone.... that's even better. Don't wanna see the "no fun allowed" shield placed in here for something so inoffensive. It was very nice indeed, but to be honest... nothing out of the ordinary either. I see these mindful takes here on a regular basis. So it was nothing i didn't necessarily expected to see in the first place.
  4. In my case, I was lurking around since at least 2020. While I'm only posting on Lego Star Wars forums so far, the Eurobricks experience that stuck with me most actually came from Harry Potter. I fondly remember how excited I was about the upcoming 2020 summer wave and everyone's reaction back then. Depending on leaks and personal mood, I would bounce between the big SW and HP discussion threads every couple of months or so... sometimes catching up to 50s of pages. There I was already getting to know the usual suspects that I now have a really good time interacting directly with. I'm glad that I finally decided to take the plunge, it's my first long-term attempt at an english board, and here's hoping things are continue to stay for a long time to come. Woah... Based on the writing style of your postings, I never imagined for you to be this young. Or in other words, I didn't expect to be that much older than you are. Yes. Nothing in the whole world can top that good old forum experience. In times of social media craze, it may have limited reach, but that absolutely works in its favor. Rather than a place where numerous toxic people express opinions like they're just wanting to take out the trash or blatantly obvious trying to capitalize on cheap clickbait content, here you can have much more genuine, nuanced discussions. In several ways, you are getting to know the people behind the screen. You are starting to feel familiar with their own standpoints. You learn which persons you can screw around with... and which you don't. Engaging in a conversation just feels much more natural and personal... Rather than just a random drive-by poster getting overshadowed by a faceless crowd, you are involved in the topics at hand like... you know, an actual community! Less is definitely more in this regard. And no, it's not ironic coming from you. Not in the slightest. I can recognize and appreciate a good noble cause, not to say entertaining running gag, when i see one.
  5. Yeah, it's not like i forgot about the theme's known schedule or anything. It's just my brain keep pushing away the fact of how late Lego Star Wars is always to the party. You would think you kinda get used to that, but i guess not. It's always somewhat hilarious when first official March wave images of other licensed themes are popping up, while Star Wars fans are still waiting for official January pictures. But whatever, in times of news drought, besides Cad Bane, i don't wanna come across extra picky. Looking forward to any leaks right now. Yep, this is how it's supposed to be. Yet people holding themselves accountable for their own actions is an increasingly rare sight to see... nowadays. However, i don't think there will be a whole lot of human beings seriously considering that, let alone practically trying it. Especially, like you said, after building that monstrosity. Another relatively happy landing. You may celebrate when ready.
  6. Good luck with your Death Star plans. Feel like you are gonna need it. Just don't hang it up on a wall as it will fall apart over time. But i bet you already knew that. By that logic, maybe you shouldn't have chosen me as the director of this whole thing. But yeah, i get it... There are only so many spots to assign ourselves to. And it's not like there was any less impressive, kinda random pedestrian available to put me on there. Okay, on behalf of myself, i order one sidekick role to make the cut!
  7. Ha, as far as your or our TIE Avenger quest is concerned, that's gotta be among the most compatible memes out there. Doesn't make it any less amusing, though. And come to think of it, Cad Bane could look mighty fine with an eyepatch on. Aaah, Victorrry! I second this. Here's hoping we get something substantial in the next few weeks. Although i would settle for less, like minifig leaks for the January wave. I really just wanna see the Cad's out of the bag.
  8. If my memory serves me right, these smart bricks are supposed to do some sound effects. So I'd imagine they will basically be functioning the same way or at least similarly to the Super Mario ones... just in a new format. Also, nice upgrades you have there on your Death Star minifigure crew. As much as humanly possible, it looks like the line-up is now on the level we should have gotten instead. Also also, your placement of the Minikit in the Emperor's Throne Room is just peak nostalgia.
  9. Always in motion... is the future. Give him peace, freedom, justice, and security for his new empire or i retire. You really hit the nail on the head there. They needed to go all-on on this one, but they didn't. Or in the case of the actual designers, they couldn't. Which again makes me pity them in a way. Because it ain't their fault. They just trying their best with the hand they have been dealt. Yet it's as always very easy to put the blame on them. This might actually be among the biggest problems on the planet. Your dissatisfaction about something, however justified it may be, is usually addressed to the wrong people. Because the people who are actually responsible and should be hold accountable about something, are out of anyone's reach. Which, i think, applies to a variety of modern Lego Star Wars sets. Just on a different scale and scope. Yes, that would be immensely funny. Also, it would hardly surprise me at this point. From now on, this is part of my personal predictions. This is my temporary head canon until proven otherwise. These are exactly my thoughts whenever someone pays a fortune for just the figures. In such pricy dimensions, it makes next to no sense to me. Of course, that ain't exactly my business to care for. Oh shoot... I only catched a glimpse of it when it initially leaked. I remember being in disbelief about it's mere existence in this way, shape or form... This can't be real, can it? I mean, this is ridiculous. Even for Lego standards.
  10. It's only natural... They chopped off his arm and he wanted revenge. Next thing will obviously be torsos and legs with blurred printing. This might be the start of the great phase 1 renaissance. But seriously, a new version for Fives would be great.
  11. Oh, you are right... I might have never noticed this design decision. As it always looked "right" to me. Another named character instead of a generic clone would make much more sense for these mechs. Though you would think anniversary figures stay exclusive. It is. Is this drip feed approach of leaking things surprising to you anymore? Oh man, it already reached backorder status in my location. I might not be able to get one of those beauties for christmas. Seeing Cobb Vanth's got arm printing makes me hopeful Cad Bane will receive them as well. Come on, Lego... If you only include two figs, you better make them count.
  12. Yes, this is the set that i had in mind as well. It's not necessarily absolutely accurate but personally, the Bad Batch Shuttle being blue was the best thing that could have happened. If some creative freedom is in favor of some added visual variety and away from all the blacks, whites and greys, i am fine with breaking up the usual color palette. So i wouldn't say no to some sand blue TIE Fighters, be it accents or as an complete replacement for light blue-ish gray. At least for the standard TIE's we get on a more regular or annual basis. For a special one like the TIE Avenger, I'd rather they go for the classic on-screen appearance. I'm gonna hold you to that.
  13. Well yeah, there are probably more beings set in the universe than stories you can possibly tell about them. But as things are right now, there are not enough species and even less narratives told. There has to be a middle ground not yet explored. But given that Star Wars kinda has the tendency to be freaking bad whenever it seriously tries to expand it's scope, this supposedly huge middle ground becomes a fine line... making you carefully consider every risk. Of course, part of the main reason of not wanting to take creative risks might be due to marketing. Obviously, some guy with a cool looking armor looks much more appealing on a cover to kids and the mass market than some weird looking Alien dude, so why would they even bother? Outside of what we came to love, Star Wars might be too weird for them to be truly wonderful to us.
  14. Ach Mensch... Scheibenkleister! You are right about that one. Then it's probably gonna be a while until the next leak. Seems like i got swept up in excitement for a moment.
  15. Ha, nice one, you keep them coming, man. Though given i am on the quieter side as of late, i kinda feel extra humbled right now. Lego be like... We can do a set based on a super expensive prototype? Say no more... if only. Yep... Sand blue makes everything look better. Not really, but still... I like some sand colored accents here and there. Looks great! Yes! Oh my Bane boyo baby... finally. Now please don't let me wait a lot for the rest of the body. I WANT THEM PRECIOUS PLASTIC PIECES AND I WANT THEM NAAAAOW!
  16. I think it definitely has something to do with too many different showrunners attempting different things. Individualism can absolutely be a good thing. Sometimes you need some fresh eyes to grant you a different perspective you otherwise would have never even noticed. But at the end of the day, you need a solid vision and commitment to a certain quality standard. And this is where i see mixed results, because different people excel in some areas where others fall short and vice versa. So, one director might be good at cinematography and creating good set pieces, the other is better at writing dialogue, while one seems like to never have reveived the memo on what show he actually is supposed to work right now. These circumstances may lead to a show that feels all over the place in terms of tone and thus, is inconsistent in aspects where it definitely shouldn't. Each episode, while obviously a lot of people are working on it, is supposed to be the result of one big creative collaboration from many talents coming together. Instead, it feels like each person in charge of a project sorta does their own thing. This is especially appearant for the cursed Sequel Trilogy, where personal ego got in the way of soul. @Darth_Bane13: From the other thread, i agree that the constant cameos make the galaxy feel smaller than it is. Like i used to say, it makes Star Wars appear as wide as an ocean, but as deep as a puddle. It's this kind of MCU-fication that doesn't really fit Star Wars all too well, in my opinion.
  17. In my location, it was discounted by the same amount as everything else was. So it's difficult to draw any conclusions from that. Will never say no to more anniversary minifigures. In terms.of.filling the missing gapes, it's s just too good of an opportunity to pass up on. I would also love to see a Cantina play set again. For the same reason of adding a few more of those unique Alien characters. This was and still is an awesome idea to do something special and out of the ordinary. Well yeah, they have been so far. But since we haven't had a franchise anniversary that Lego eas celebrating since they introduced the so-called "bonus minifigures" for the 20th theme anniversary, who knows... maybe things are about to change. I would definitely welcome more minifigs for 2027. Agile... maybe? I am inclined to agree. So many things are happening and hitting you only in the moment, but are completely course corrected at the very next chance, making it hard for me to truly care, because it just feels so inconsequential and irrelevant in the grand sheme of things. What should be more than a mere emotional moment, is undermined and reversed in what basically feels like the next scene. Trailer is alright. Did neither increase nor decrease my hype for it. Still looking forward to some of the sets, though.
  18. I always thought Young Leia was a wasted slot as a anniversary figure. In that regard, she was never a meaningful addition by any stretch of the imagination. So skipping this bizarre set was an easy choice for me. Yep, i think this is something most people can agree on, regardless where we stand for the theme. Well yeah, i hope this thing wasn't terribly successful, so that Lego has little incentive to lock more exclusive anniversary figures behind gimmicky sets. Like i said, this time it wasn't too bad given the lowlight nature of the figure, but i don't wanna see the scenario of highly sought after minifigs getting locked behind other weirdo sets. Some people probably weren't that happy to see Darth Malak tied to the buildable R2, even though this set provides much more value than the aforementioned Droid Builder. You're right. In my place, maybe other regions in Europe, the Sith Infiltrator was a Shop exclusive. But in the US it was more what Lego likes to label a "rare set", so (outside their shops) only available at selected retailers. Yes, Star Wars anniversaries are happening all the time, prompting you to put things into perspective. But the general 50th anniversary has to stand out and deliver something you don't see every day.
  19. I hope you are right, Mando man. Last year, they did brand the dreadful Droid Builder thingy as one of the anniversary sets. Granted, it also came with what many would consider the lowlight minifigure of the 25th anniversary line-up. And putting Saw Gerrera in the only Lego Shop exclusive set was probably no coincidence either, so we will see. I just feel like Lego is getting better at enticing people to buy occasional products during anniversaries. And for good reason, as it can come down to a win-win situation. When the company makes an extra buck or two, by giving fans what they want, what's not to like? Not wanting to raise expectation level too high just yet, but i hope the 50th Star Wars anniversary is something special and gonna be one for the ages.
  20. You can count on that. Fair enough. Although you could make the point that many Eurobricks users are also fans of Andor, Empire, Rebels etc. But yeah, don't wanna come across as overly greedy. I'm just telling you since you edited in that infamous blue bounty hunter face, nothing will ever be the same for me. Speaking of two years...if this smart stuff turns out to be even moderately successful for the theme, how high are the chances we have to endure some of it at the 50th Star Wars anniversary? Imagine getting overpriced smart figures or bricks as the actual bonuses.
  21. Yep, mine too. Count Dooku will be happening next year. Source? My gut feeling. I will gladly add Zam Wesell for my most wanted minifigures. While getting more Phase 1 Clone Troopers would be the logical next step for Lego, they would rank a fair bit lower on my list as well. Of course, there are plenty of prequel characters that we never got beyond all that. But these i like to define as different desires and thus would fall under my own definition of pushing it. They are like a separate category compared to already existing characters that just happened to be missing in action for half an eternity. It's like they are in a league of elite plastic pieces of their own.
  22. This template would have been awesome for editing in them familiar faces all over these noble knights. Still is a rather fitting opportunity... don't you think? Yes, because the way we know Lego, they won't show anything Lego Star Wars related before the very last seconds of the year. Clone Bro's or not, i would like them to re-release at least one of the more rarer Jedi every year and bringing them up to modern standards. As for 2026, wouldn't say no to a brand new Kit Fisto and, of course, a matching TCW General Skywalker minifigure. Apparently, the latter wasn't actually possible in a very reasonably priced $45 Jedi Starfighter. Probably wouldn't care for a throne room. Just another case for Lego to keep on ignoring the importance of skirt pieces. However i would take a standard release of the Republic Gunship and AT-ST. On the other hand, in order to add a third Snowspeeder to my collection, it would need to trigger my FOMO real hard.
  23. Yeah, whether this is Lego's ultimate goal or not, they will take things however they come, i suppose. The end result will be the same. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a period of time when there were absolutely no smartphones to be found, because, well, they haven't been invented yet. And when they were affordably available for the mass market, i was almost at adults age already. Can't say that i regret anything about these times. I'm not even mad at Lego for going with the times. Surely it's annoying to see several catalogues absolutely blasted with all that "download this - scan that" type of stuff. I know how creative and imaginative these layouts used to look. Anybody may call me old fashioned in this regard, but i perceive Lego as one of those pure hobbies that is actually supposed to keep you away from screens for however long the fun lasts. But again, I can't blame Lego for trying to cater to new generation's consuming behavior to boost their business even further. Those are the times we live in nowadays. It might just be these exact times i don't tend to enjoy that much. At least when it comes to growing up, it's hard not to dwell in nostalgic nature. Because otherwise... I am in no way, shape or form in any shortage of screen time. Can't say that i regret anything about that either. Cad Bane minifigure leaks before Christmas, pretty please.
  24. Smart figures... By the maker, what madness has befallen us this time around? So they are looking like regular minifigs and dynamically react in an acustic manner based on input elsewhere or whatever special piece it's attached to? Sounds like another desperate attempt to put a smartphone in very young kid's hands and, of course, to make more buck by making less bang for your credits. I don't care if this sounds like "old man screaming at the clouds" kinda thing. I don't even have any children, so i don't have to deal with such matters. But I'm still neither friend nor fan of this whole thing whatsoever. Thanks, but no thanks.
  25. Is that a fact? Then i may need to overthink my general desire to gamble coming forward. It was you who told me about this in the first place. I could literally not believe these ludicrous long legs longings were real. And i had and still have a similar reaction as you do. While i get the general idea and the certain mileage you would get from a brand new introduced piece... Sometimes Lego can't even keep track of the already existing parts, let alone using the right pieces for the right minifigures. So in that sense, i say adding even more fuel to the fire wouldn't be the greatest idea to see the Lego light of day. You need to walk first before you can properly run. Yeah, there's always a bigger fish. I mean, it's the same with all those additional formats, steadily rotating in and out on a yearly basis. No wonder this madness ain't gonna stop anytime soon. Oh no... Get ready for the smart brick infused $30 something something Jedi Microfighter something something. And super charged $60 Super Clone Bro Battle Packs. With the inclusion of smart bricks, Lego could apply 4+ price points to every smaller Star Wars set imaginable. That's actually a scary thought, to be honest.
