LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

Ah yes, i am aware of these leaks. Though i was under the impression it's another one of those employee gifts like the old Christmas X-Wing, rather than a set on sale. Yep, this is it. Day #6 of asking Lego not to annihilate the upcoming Clone Turbo Tank (or whatever the heck it is). -

Ha, i knew i had to research every Lego set in existence before asking such a question. But yeah, i was basically just asking wether or not Lego Star Wars will reach this end of the line (~75999). And if it does, what happens next. Seeing it took them like a dozen or so years for even reaching the halfway point (that's with some skipped set numbers), i know it's probably gonna be a while. See you in 2037, then. What i will say, though, regardless of set numbers, i hope they stick with the 2022 introduced (and not at all inspired by The Black Series) box art for a long time. Ah, gotcha. I figured out everything but the K. I think we are gonna get the full minifigure list for the Death Star starting next month, when i expect the summer wave to be leaked in more detail as well. So, this GWP is not supposed to be the equivalent of last year's Imperial Dropship vs. Rebel Scout Trooper set, right? Do we even know if there will be another one of these shop exclusives this year? Day #5 of asking Lego not to blow up the upcoming Clone Turbo Tank. -

Like i said, it's difficult to even be cautiously optimistic about this one anymore. You just inspired me to be a cheap copy cat, so i'm playing my own "too little - too late" kinda game now. But what does KUBAR stand for; you mean when something is beyond aid? @CallumPears Yes, i'm fairly confident the GA will make it into the Lego Magazine. And i will take fully advantage of that. As for messing up the minifig... Well, hopefully not beyond Lego's usual shortcomings, like worse than the printed waist capes. Anyways, you guys think we actually gonna make it to set 76000 one day? -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
BrickPrick replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, i was using Brickset for reference in terms of minifigures, piece count and price point and tried to match Lego's current mantra of building downsized ships with more, smaller pieces, plus take inflation and some corporate greed into account. I was less thinking about how a reasonable human being would do these things, but moved more along the mindset how Lego would go about it. And yes, i was purposely limiting my selection to just a trio per Prequel episode. Feels like i'm barely scratching the surface. I was also paying attention to not clash with your ideas, which are pretty good as well. Your N1-Starfighter (including long overdue Theed Padme) pitch is the stuff of what dreams are made of. Oh, i was going back and forth with Tarfful and an additional Wookie Warrior for the Catamaran. Then i thought it would be unrealistic for Lego to include three or even more Wookies in a single set of this scale. And given that they tend to rotate old figures in exchange for an exclusive character, i picked the King of the Wookies over Tarfful. Which on the other hand would be more appealing than just another Chewbacca for sure, but Lego likes their main characters so much, i thought this would make more sense as well. -

I appreciate your advice. Even though, except a selected few minifigures, i have never bought any Lego sets in used condition. While i just know the new CTT will definitely end up being a drastically overpriced set, i would have gotten it at a deep discount later on anyways. And yes, the FOMO in regards to my beloved Glup Shitto Troopers will be strong with this one. But if it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, then yeah... i might consider getting the old one for a somewhat reasonable price. Because unlike other shrunken down models, the previous Turbo Tank was already decently downsized. This one will be pretty clearly even smaller than that and might break boundaries of what a system scale set (at this price point no less) is supposed to be. I want to be cautiously optimistic about this one, but ever since the leaks with the brick-build wheels, this has been proven quite difficult for me. Still anticipating the official reveal or some more concrete leaks, though. Yep. Oh man, i really regret not getting the 2016 version when it was still available. Because other than getting some nice minifigures at long last... the build will probably end up being disappointing, especially at this price tag. Like, i'm not even against the idea of a CTT for 150/160 bucks in 2025. That's hardly surprising after the Coruscant Gunship or the AT-TE. I just have a tough time seeing the value proposition. Even as someone who doesn't care a great deal about PPP. -

Day #3 of asking Lego not to massacre the upcoming Clone Turbo Tank. In favor of a more detailed and sizable build, i would be fine with a possible TIE Avenger, based on the first episode's opening, to only include three minifigs. Them being Cassian Andor in his test pilot suit, a Range Trooper and a Stormtrooper. Maybe add that droid for good measure. But yeah, it wouldn't exactly be the first time that a comparable set only comes with three full figs either. -

Okay, looks like you will have some stuff to look forward and keep yourself occupied to. Yep, i missed out on some of the Solo and Rogue One minifigs, including Range Troopers, too. His inclusion in the TIE Avenger would work wonders for me. Oh man... In terms of remakes, clearly one of the most glaring omissions there is. Even though, according to the Force of Creativity Book, they cancelled a new Zam Wessel minifigure in 2020, so we were kinda close on this one. Ah okay, gotcha. Yeah, this is what i have been caught up as well. I was thinking what's wrong about including two Stormies and two regular Death Trooper in the old RO Battle Pack. In retrospect, it would have made more sense (besides that Captain Enoch guy who will probably appear in a Season 2 set) to include a single Death Trooper in the Battle of Peridea set instead of a Night Trooper. Oh, that's good to know. And after watching episodes 7-9, this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Still processing all this stuff. Okay, from all the EU places that i got to visit, i only saw these Magazines in Germany. And that's totally fine with me. Yeah, wasn't the Bespin Duel first intended to show up for Star Wars Celebration, but was then delayed and relocated to SDCC due to Covid? And yes, now you seem to get more retailer exclusives sets going on, rather than that and region based exclusivity. Absolutely. These smaller Star Wars sets are sorely missing. Not just the Duel sets, but the old format you referred to as well. Those Accessory Packs complimenting some Battle Packs weren't too shabby, either. I obviously don't know about their stock, but these things were sold out almost all the time, so they seemed to be quite popular. And Lego was like, nah, let's just never do them again. Of course, their disappearance could be solved by just getting more Battle Packs per year. @Agent Kallus Almost missed your comment about the CTT... Yep, it would be funny after all this chaos if it was something else entirely. But yeah... Day #2 of asking Lego not to screw up the upcoming Clone Turbo Tank. -

Oh, I'm not brave enough for politics, but did you know the Mos Eisley Cantina interior scene was actually filmed near London? The exterior was obviously shot in Tunisia, but the inside was based on the UK. Yes, i can almost smell the signature superioty of the third Andor arc. I have a feeling it will be the best one yet. Yeah, given Ahsoka's source material, this is quite understandable. You see, when you put it like that, it does make perfect sense. Even though this is hardly new information to me, i still felt the urge to ask. In hindsight, it feels like a pretty stupid or at least rhetorical kinda question on my part. I guess i was too fixated on all these different ratios to begin with. As for the Snowtrooper Battle Pack, i think the 3/1 ratio was pretty much perfect. A 2/2 or 2/1/1 ratio would have bothered me. But like i said, it doesn't bother me in the newest BP... because reasons. Maybe because we never saw any Hoth Scout Trooper on screen, i consider it more of a specialized trooper. Whereas i wholeheartedly welcome more Death Troopers, because... they are fresh? Oh boy. I dunno. I am confused about myself. Yep, what a great get that was! Oh wow. Your new empire?! The amount you just laid out doesn't sound too shabby. And I'm gonna hold you to that proper count up for next summer. I think i have like 100 imperial minifigs in total, which does include a couple of named characters. I just love nearly everything about the Cantina. The iconic design, some of the building techniques, the sturdyness of it all, the minifigure line-up, all obviously infused with a heavy dosis of nostalgia. Sticker sheet is moderate and most are applied on the side builds, which are surprisingly superbly executed as well. Like that V-35 Landspeeder gotta be one of the smoothest, thoughtful builds that the Lego Star Wars theme has ever seen. And there are next to no mismatched colored pieces whatsoever. That's the great thing... If Lego can't hide them well enough, they don't do them. I just really enjoy that hybrid of the playable, displayable and collectible aspects that a MBS set can provide. Whatever happened to the format, though... Here's hoping that Lego did not abandoned it and the retirement of the Cantina means it makes space for a successor set. -

Yep, i had the same thought. Of course, nothing is set in stone, but given a certain pattern, the likelihood of that to happen is quite high. As the Lego Star Wars Magazine saw the inclusion of a variety of different Troopers relatively shortly after their original release. 501st legion, 212th legion, Clone Shock Trooper, Stormtrooper, Snowtrooper, Scout Trooper, various Mandalorians etc. But who am i telling, right. The incredible inclusion of the Bespin Luke has been my favorite pick bar none. Given his region based exclusivity, i would never have gotten him without the Magazine. Ha, for me it's the other way around. I've only got four of the 2014 Stormies and (currently counting...) 13 of the Family Guy guys. So, you could say, i got too many of them to seriously care at this point. Still think there could be a sweet spot for the helmet mould between 2014 and 2019, but even back in the day doubted it's gonna happen anytime soon. Wether we like it or not, this is what we stuck with. Yeah, that's a fair point. Most helmet moulds are not affected by it anyways. Almost only the most regular one is. By the way, since you briefly mentioned it, are you a fan of the 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina? Frankly, it's my favorite set that i own. While i don't have a terrible amount on my hands, like not even a hundred or so, i just love this set to bits. -

First things first, i would like to thank you for your elaborate explaining efforts. Sweet jawa juice, here i thought i was just overthinking this whole stuff. But turns out it became a rather complicated matter for army builders. In regards to including named characters in Battle Packs, i can only repeat myself by saying... I totally understand that it defeats the purpose of army building. But even back then, i didn't mind the inclusion of Ki-Adi-Mundi and Barriss Offee either. To me, it was less like a road block in the way of more Troopers, but more like adding two missing minifigs to the collection. But yeah, if i were to buy multiple of those sets, i would be mad too. Seeing Lego never included named characters in Battle Packs again, they seemed to have learned their lesson. Yes, considering the source material, i figured it makes little sense to include a duo of Death Troopers. However, if it was just one DT, given the likely case you buy more than two of them, it would still be a problem... only half as worse. In either way, there would be no ideal scenario. Only some better or less worse than others. Except there would have been no Death Trooper at all, which would have felt like a missed opportunity. To speak for myself one more time, the regular Stormie is by far my most common Trooper. As straightforward as that is, i would rather have any other Troopers in Battle Packs. At least in the current situation where we only get like two Battle Packs per year. If we were back to four BPs again, i would be more open to some vanilla inclusions again. But as of right now, i would rather get the figures we can rarely have. And to top it all off... I actually got used to the Family Guy Stormtrooper helmets. They are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. They just... don't bother me anymore. -

Given a rather casual sense of army building and never buying multiple Battle Packs, i don't mind the 50:50 splits between Troopers. Don't mind it with the upcoming Death Trooper & Night Trooper BP, didn't mind it with the old Imperial Trooper BP. Other than obvious personal preference, i'm not too sure why it's such a big deal anyways. Why does the 2/1/1 ratio make more sense to you than a 2/2? Or is it less about that and more about what troops specifically get the edge over the other? Like regular units are supposed to be more common than elite ones. And by buying multiple sets, this could get in the way of canon-compatible army building? I feel like i am missing some puzzle pieces there. Some enlightening would be greatly appreciated. That being said, a new Death Trooper Battle Pack just has to happen in the near future. It would be a great get for the 10th anniversary of Rogue One next year. Or it might as well would be based on Andor. I would ship the idea of two Shoretroopers and two Death Troopers. Only got one Captain of the former and two of the latter. Don't really need normal Stormtroopers, since they can be found in enough other sets. I feel like the BP focus should be on the more hard to find Troopers. Fingers crossed for anything like that for 2026. -

Yeah, i noticed the extras now being all over the place, too. I think Germany and the UK usually get the same extras, while countries like Spain and France every so often get something different. While only selected countries get these magazines, i don't know what part of the EU gets them as well. My order has been slightly delayed but shipped by now. Since i never expected the sets to arrive in time anyways, my disappointment was almost non existent. So stoked for this year's GWP. -

On behalf of a rather coincidential Order #66 posting of mine, no matter how you celebrate today, i wanna wish each and everyone a happy Star Wars day. May the 4th be with you... always. And remember: "In the galaxy far, far away, Where the Jedi Council tries to save the day... There's Obi-Wan, the charming knight, Always drinking, and high as a kite. Yoda, wise and green, chuckles all day long, Mace Windu's firm, with a purple saber strong, Ki-Adi-Mundi, big head, no clue, Palpatine’s tricks got Anakin feeling blue. His troubled soul, Padmé's love like the sun, But can her light keep him from what he might become?" Credit goes to someone probably more creative than me. -

Ah yes, that's right. This brings the overall count to at least six new moulds for 2025 right now, with three officially confirmed and three heavily rumoured. Still curious about a possibly new Mas Amedda minifig. Either his misplaced inclusion in the UCS Death Star means he will be in a different set instead. Or his very existence was straight up megablocks to begin with. Regular Pilot Luke will be the next minifigure in the french Lego Star Wars Magazine. -

So, it has been not that long ago when the total amount of new 2025 moulds was believed to be at an all-time low. I don't know if this negative record has changed in the meantime, but right now we have a new head mould for Plo Koon, a new hair-hat combo for Dedra Meero, probably new helmet moulds for Commander Bacara and the Galactic Marines and a new piece for Babu Frik... anything else that we know of? -

Once again, impressive... most impressive improvement since >> insert date here <<. It may take Lego quite a while for remaking older minifigs with new moulds and all, but when they eventually do, they usually knock it out of the park. This will be absolutely worth the wait. Although i might bite the bullet and get it at merely a slight discount right away. Then i will be able to annoy some friends and family by saying Koh-to-yah about one of my favorite Jedi all day long. -

The good thing is there are so many significant characters Lego simply can not completely ignore forever, the likelihood of getting them slowly but surely over time is quite high. That's at least how i like to see it, glass is half full as often as possible. Yes, we do. B is kinda funny, because Fallen Order already fell under this kind of Disney demanded morale compass with no dismemberment for Troopers and such. A sounds like a bunch of mambo jambo to me, so it's not hard to believe Lego would have thought that way. But yeah, we got the buildable BD-1 first, the Cal Kestis minifigure second. Third time's a charm. It's not too far fetched Lego will come around for a larger play scale set as soon as Jedi 3 drops in 2027 or so. Yep, this could be a neat concept for future AC iterations as well. -

Yes, that's why i wrote "ever so rarely". I own U-3PO, skipped the 2018 AC. It's just that it happened a long time ago. And there were so many HP calenders which all featured exclusive figs since then. To be fair, their quality standard is usually not on the same level as Star Wars. While the figs naturally often come with short or medium legs, they rarely have any leg printing, share a lot of the same faces etc. That probably helps a lot cutting costs. While completely new Star Wars characters (not just new versions of already existing ones), are often dependent on producing expensive new moulds. I am glad for the people who finally get what they wanted. Hopefully i will find someone taking this thing off of my hands... for a reasonable fee. Well yeah, tell me about it... I mean, getting Asajj Ventress again is awesome. But getting her even before Count Dooku is just crazy. I'm telling you, Lego doesn't want to do his curved lightsaber hilt piece anymore! For once, i say, screw any accuracy, and go full Mando Darksaber mode! -

You guys can have your TIE Defender... in the next spanish Lego Magazine. As i said, Lego's ways of when, where and why they do things or not are... mysterious to say the least. It's almost like some employees are stepping out of the wrong elevator on any given day. Like a Star Wars designer is accidentally invading one of the Lego Harry Potter guys offices. And it goes like "What wait, you are actually doing lots of exclusives minifigs in your calendars? Why are we ever so rarely doing that?" And then they stumple upon a drawer thought to be lost to time. "Early designs for Babu Frik? Ain't that the tiny little dude from one of those Sequel movies we used to ignore for over five years now? Yep, let's go." Pleasently surprised the Death Trooper & Night Trooper Battle Pack will go back to the 20€ price point. After the last price increases for the 332nd Ahsoka's Clone Trooper and Ambush on Mandalore Battle Packs, to 21 and 22 Euros respecively (plus the price hike to $23 for this very BP), a return to the 2022 standard was definitely not on my bingo card. What in the Billund Billionaire beloved bubble, a price reduction of any kind for Lego Star Wars wasn't on my agenda at all. Wether you want to wait for 20/25% discounts or 30/35% definitely does make a difference to me, so this one is nice to have. -

In theory, i like the idea of choosing never before done characters (which would otherwise be difficult to put in regular sets) for the anniversary minifigures. However, in execution, half of those figures, Cal Kestis certainly among them, could have easily released in a regular set. In Cal's case... very clearly alongside his crew in a Stinger Mantis set. If the reasoning against it was that A it's not popular enough cause it's a video game and B the age rating is not appropriate for kids, i don't get it at all. The range is definitely there and at the end of the day, it's still Star Wars. But yeah, having to pay an excessive price on the after market (boosted even further by the fact that he released in the most expensive 25th anniversary set), is obviously the downside of all this exclusivity. To whom it may concern, you will be able to connect the side builds of the new AC, resulting in some sort of larger workshop. -

Yep, i figured this out myself in the meantime. Yeah, it's hard to imagine, right? It's just the newly revealed buildable Battle Droid and it's unusual July release date that got me thinking. And yes, this year's May wave is actually much more fleshed out than it used to be. I remember waves consisting only of like three sets for this time frame. Now we only need better balancing again. I hope i'm wrong... but in my experience all other themes already getting revealed is not a very good indicator for Star Wars to follow suit soon. Because for some reason Lego is always late to the party when it comes to Star Wars. I recall times when the HP March wave was officially revealed even before the January sets of SW. Be that as it may, we still will have plenty of leaked stuff to talk over in the coming months. I agree. For once, i actually wouldn't mind a somewhat sparse minifigure line-up for a set of this price point. Just do the bare minimum in terms of the overall amount, like just three figs, and put everything else in favour of a detailed, sturdy and reasonable sized build. Yes, it never hurts to reserve final judgement for when you actually have the full picture. But with some of the most recent leaks, i gotta say... I hope for the best, but fear for the worst.
