thanks for the tip. Your right would keep hitting their heads.

So i wanted to show my first draft of a modular station i've been working on. The idea behind this is to produce a station that can be modified to fit into a number of layouts quickly and easily. so basically the hole thing is a series of mini builds held together with pins. I'm still tweaking the design to fit a grid based around 6 x 6 studs with elements being 6 x 6,12 x 6 or 18 x 6. I Will have to add some filler sizes due to the tracks. Just wanted to know what people think so far.

Really nice build on this one. Hopefully, you will get the parts you need soon so we can see it go round a track.- 23 replies

Bricklink Designer Program Trains Sets | 2024 & Beyond
The Big MC replied to RedBrick1's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Agreed, just gone over them and voted for anything train I liked. -
Thank you for the support. I doubt I will reach the 10000 for this to go to review. That said, if enough people like it, you never know what could happen. The containers in the centre beam were a compromise; the aim was to keep things simple. There were a few wagon types I avoided, one of which was the Flatbed, as it's in most LEGO train sets.

I recently uploaded my first Lego idea for some basic cargo wagons. It's a shameless plug, but I wanted to get some of you to vote or provide feedback regarding them. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/cff8a6df-e05c-43a0-8c9a-5bbe2f57daf0

very impressive. Some good detail in it, like the telephone box now containing a defibrillator. Voted for

When it comes to LEGO, I am a big kid. I'm not going to go all President Business, but I think there is room for both adults and kids. I think the recent station in 60423 was brilliant and a good example of the modular design I would have liked for a central station. 60050 was a nice size and is big enough for two carriages, same with 60423. Sounds like an excuse to fire up the studio and build my own
-
The station is a no. To call it a central station is an exaggeration. Don't get me wrong, I like the glass roof and the lift is good, but there's no length to think that even one 60337 passenger train would look like it's pulled up to some kind of coffee shop drive-thru hut. Notice to all passengers, please exit from the first car to avoid a fall onto the tracks. It would have been better if there were more length to the station, possibly even being more modular like the recent tram station, which would also allow using multiple sets. The Arctic train looks better. Still think it needs more carriages, but that's something to build for. Also, I would like to see the new track pieces; the one that triggers the rock fall is going to be interesting. Not sure what else we could use it for, possibly loading cargo, but any new track piece is good.

The Spider-Man one is a no for me.£45 is not a terrible price, but you are paying for the Marvel logo. As others have said, PAB would be the way to go. The Haunted Mansion looks like a typical 3 in 1. Yes, you can build 3, but only one will be good. Kind of annoyed how they have revealed the Advent calendars for Christmas but not this explorer train yet.
-
Looking good. Love how Santa has to take the train now. Too many drunken Christmas Eves. Good minifig humour

The train station will have to be something special for me to buy it, and the sketches don't impress me. I already own four stations, so a new one would have to be something else. Also hate how all stations are missing the fourth wall.

[MOC] My Completed 1:45 Scale LEGO Train Fleet & Layout
The Big MC replied to Sérgio's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well, that makes my collection look BAD. Nice collection, Good job -
Strangely, A medium motor i got at the back end of last year stopped working this week. Contacted Lego support and was told this was not being produced any more. Strangely, they have now "found" a motor, and it is on its way to me. Hopefully, the shortages have been caused by something temporary. I don't mind Powered up, just because it came with more ports and an integrated rechargeable battery.

Nice work on the model. It's sad what has happened to the museum. Idiots who don't know or care how much work has gone into something. Museums are often a source of inspiration for me with my trains. I'm lucky to live relatively close to the National Railway Museum (UK) and a smaller one called Barrow Hill Roundhouse. Things like this make you appreciate them more. Hope they get back up and running soon so we can get more comparison shots.
