Wow, so many great entries in the last couple of days! Mine is almost ready, I have yet to add a couple of things. But I'll do it this evening as I won't have time tomorrow (unless 12 GMT is 24.00 at night and not 12?).

Outstanding job tin7! I really like them all, they fit so greatly together. I'm very impressed with the design of your custom figures, they could easily be official LEGO minifigures. The torsos are also great. Bill and Charlie look so good! I didn't see how Bill supposed to look in the film before, but you've managed to translate him into LEGO perfectly. If I have to find one thing I'd adjust, it would be the cheek lines of Percy. It makes him look a bit old. I'm looking forward to more of these custom LEGO Harry Potter figures.

Wow! Thanks for extending the deadline, it's greatly appreciated. The colour of the hair didn't come out right and I'm experiencing some problems with making a skirt (I even thought about not using it), so now I can go and buy a new can to paint the hair and think about something good for the other piece. Thanks again. Hopefully we'll see some more entries now also.

Wow, excellent job! I haven't seen the series, but I'm slightly familiar with it, but the suit made me think of Evangelion when I saw it. Actually, I saw your figure earlier today on Brickshelf and I was really amazed by the quality of it. The troll idea is funny, but the figure is so perfectly printed. I assume you have a laser printer (combination with black pen)? I never get results like these with my inkjet printer. It looks like a real printed figure. Again, great job!

Fantastic review, you're becoming better at it with every review you make. The pictures are just perfect and they make me even want the set more. I already own the first version of Hagrid's Hut, but as I wasn't really much into LEGO (I think) during the release of the Prisoner of Azkaban, I never bought sets from that film at the time. I really wanted to get my hands on the second version of it, but I'm actually very happy with yet another release of the hut. I loved the first one as a child, and then I thought it looked actually awful with the paper roof, but I've rebuilt it recently and I still love it. I think I'm going to like this version also, although I don't agree with the superb pricing. 40 dollars is nowhere close to the 50 euros we're supposed to pay for it, luckily there are people who see that and change the price to a more reasonable 40-45 euro. I have to agree with the figures, Ron and Hagrid are really great. An angry Hagrid would have been nice too, with frowned eyebrows. I noticed the freckles of Ron for the first time on the first picture on your review, and I was positively surprised! It's nice to discover things I've not seen before. Ron is really perfect, the hairpiece matches exactly with Rupert's hairstyle. I wonder if TLC designed it for this figure and then saw they could use it for the Collectable Minifigures? Harry is alright, although he's too young. I wished TLC designed an angry face for Harry in the Goblet of Fire sets. He actually had an angry face, but it had gills on it. Hermoine is... indeed a bit of a failure. I like the figure though, she can be a Hermoine to me, but it doesn't look like her at all. I'll mix and match a bit with these figures. I think Hagrid's Hut is wonderful. Especially the interior, nice and cramped like I imagined it. I also like the fish hanging to dry, although I don't know why a chicken bone is hung to dry. The exterior is also nice, but I think the outside of the fireplace would have been nicer if it were similar to the 2001 version. Lots of nice details and accessories, animals and I also like the acromantula (although I'm one of the few). I can't wait to compare it with the 2001 version, and hopefully someday with the 2004 version. I think this little building would fit in every little (medieval) village, surrounded by some trees, just like all of the versions. Again, great review and keep on going!

There isn't an entry topic, you have to make your own topic for your figure, with 'MCW 2010 entry' in the Topic Description. I (finally!) have all the materials for my figure, I'll paint some parts later today, make the decals and I hope to be ready tomorrow.

Great job! I love photographs like these, an action-packed LEGO scene. I love all the details, like the glass with the towel still in it. The idea of a zombie setting in a 30's-40's era sounds great too.

Welcome to Eurobricks! A few days ago I stumbled on this on Brickshelf and I loved it. The exterior is very good, I like the overall structure of the building. The landscaping is also very nicely done. The details are lovely, like the minifigures hanging around with their expressions and so. The interior is also great with the nice furniture, again nice details. I like the fireplace! One of the things I like the most is the wheelbarrow: what a great looking design. Great job!

Indeed. Jumping on more ideas for this set: a dragon included would have been great! But then the calm feeling wouldn't be in it. At least Narcissa should have been in it, and Draco. And new minifigure prints. Argh, thinking to much about the only flaws makes me linking the set less. I think we just have to remember that the designers, or the persons who decided which minifigures to add, aren't such Harry Potter fans as we are. These are times I really wished I could tell them before designing this set: and you need this and that to make this set totally complete and everyone will buy it!

Nice job, Burman. I like it very much, especially the ground floor. It really looks like a building made by wizards. Good idea for the window, making it orange with a yellow brick behind it. I think the window would look better if it were in the same style like the windows in Ollivanders shop (in the new Diagon Alley set). Other than that, again very nice job. I'm happy to see more LEGO Harry Potter creations on Eurobricks, so keep them coming!

I have to agree a bit on the subject of minifigures. I mean, the buildings are great and all because they fit in a regular LEGO town and a medieval one, and of course as a Harry Potter fan I think they're great. But the minifigures... Olivander and the Weasley twin are great. But, is that it? The goblins aren't that bad, then I'll have some variation in colours of goblins. But is it really so hard to paint their eyes black? I think that would give them much more character. Again the minifigures of the trio... Alright. Perhaps a totally new outfit would have been cool. Lucius shouldn't have been in it, he's in the smallest set. Greyback is also reasonable, as he's seen kidnapping Ollivander in the 6th film. But Narcissa Malfoy and Draco in nice outfits would have been perfect. And then, Hagrid. He has to be in it, he showed Diagon Alley to Harry. Perhaps a couple of random, nameless wizards would have been nice. But I'm not complaining... Just nitpicking. Indeed, as Clone O'Patra said: we really need some Order of the Phoenix members like Tonks, Shacklebolt and redesigned Lupin and Moody. But you just can't have everything.

Great news, I think. I don't have the Star Wars version but I have to say I liked the idea very much. I'm wondering how they'll fill this one up, as the theme indeed was a bit inconsistent. Perhaps lots of drawings of the film version and early sketches of models. A nice figure would be nice, I wonder which one it would be. Anyway, it sounds nice.

Here's the Brickshelf folder. I love Fred and George! Ollivander looks very much like his film counterpart, great. Look at those signs: Wizarding Hats, Magic Animals and Cauldron Sale. There you go, three new signs for three buildings we can create ourselves!

Yeah, I don't even own half of the parts of this great set. But I should be able to build a Wizarding Wheezes in the same style before this set is released, though. The new set really makes things good again, with those rereleases we got as set, we now got this fantastic set in exchange.

It was well worth the wait. Admittedly, I saw a glimpse of it earlier today, but I'm glad I had the patience to not look back. Ah, Svelte, thanks for not showing or saying more about this earlier. I couldn't stand it if the wait was longer, I think. Then I'll just build the buildings from the pictures... Hm...

Do I need to say more? ...of course I have to. It's fantastic. More so, it's fantastically awesome. Just everything about it. What a great way of LEGO to end this theme. The minifigures are great: finally we have the Weasley twins! They were the same clothes, but I'm sure their facial expressions are different. Ollivander is also a great addition and so are the newly coloured goblins. We've seen the other figures before, but you won't here me complaining. I'm looking forward to the pictures of the minifigures. I'm going to love it. The buildings are perfect and I like them all equally. Ollivander's Shop is so detailed, I love the colours. The interior is also nice, with the wand cases. Gringotts, the biggest of the three, looks magnificent also. I can't imagine it being done better, the design looks so good like the film counterpart and the descriptions given. I like the chandelier on the inside, as well as the paintings and the desk. Borgin and Burkes looks very much like its film counterpart with that glass roof. The colours are, again, greatly combined. The interior is a bit bare, but I don't mind and the cabinet has to be placed there. I don't see any flaws with the buildings, like no holes on the outside or anything. Just, perfect. You could just make the other buildings of Diagon Alley in the same style, put them together and you'll have a great Diagon Alley for yourself! That is what I'm going to do when I'm ready with my LEGO Hogsmeade, hopefully. These buildings even fit with the Medieval Market Village set, although they look a bit too modern to go with it, still they would fit. The street signs, the lamp posts and little shopping stands like with the owls, or the hats (dark red wizard hat!) are also very nice. They replace the other shops a bit and that's a very nice touch. They are nice details. As for the price, I think it's a good price for a licensed set. 2025 pieces, thats only 21 less than the Café Corner set! And it has the same price, but you get three buildings instead. And 11 minifigures! An a bunch of nice details for on the Diagon Alley street. A few years ago I tried to make my own Wizarding Wheezes, and with the release of the 6th film I had the idea again. Seems like I'll finally work it out so it'll fit with these lovely buildings when they're out. Of all months, January. January will be a great month for me, I'm pretty certain I'll get this set in that month. Ah, I love talking so much about LEGO Harry Potter. I just can't help it.

It's almost 2pm here, I won't go to sleep now. We just have to think: how longer the wait, how better the information and the set will be.

Okay, now I saw it because of a new topic started here. Good thing I held myself off and clicked away. I wanted to reply that it shouldn't have been posted yet, so I haven't seen much of it yet. And I haven't read anything about it. Oh, man, I hope I don't stumble on pictures of it again.

Hah, I didn't know at first what was going on here. The magnet set: the best set ever? But then I thought someone could've posted the pictures of that new set Svelte mentioned. Oh, what an urge I have to check out that website. But I don't want to, I'll just wait a day and see the official announcement, with high-resolution pictures and everything (I hope).

I have a couple of things you're looking for but I'd rather buy it from you then trade things. Then we will be sure we make the transaction for an equal value. If you're okay with that, of course. What would you guys prefer for the minifigure: being Light Flesh or Yellow coloured? I'm hesitating which colour to use. It's based on a film, so Light Flesh sounds the best but Yellow gives a feeling that the figure is an inhabitant of a LEGO world cosplaying someone from real life. And yes, The Penguin's Batman entry is a very strong entry, especially as the first one of this contest.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. I have to say: I always have a feeling of "an interior would fit great with this" after building one of the Hogsmeade buildings. But I did my best to put one in the station, but I'll get it out again as it's for display. Nobody will see the interiors, but for pictures it would've been nice though. The minifigures don't represent people mentioned in the book. Just a wizarding family visiting Hogsmeade, and they decided to take a look at the Shrieking Shack at nightfall. The little boy is excited, but the parents are afraid of what they've been told when they were little.

Fantastic review, Clone O'Patra. I agree with everything you say, now I'll just have to get my hands on it ... But from the excellent pictures judging this set is indeed the best one of the entire LEGO Harry Potter theme (until now, I can only hope). I just like everything about it: the great exterior, the detailed interior with lovely stickers, the nice colour scheme, the animals and even the attempt of designing a swamp (two dark tan bushes!). But of course, the figures are the absolute highlight of this set! They are just perfect, and so detailed! They match their film counterparts very well. I think Bellatrix is my favorite one, and as close second Ginny. I have to nitpick: they should have given Molly an angry face. Really angry. So we could recreate the scene where Molly and Bellatrix duel with each other, with of course Bella's scared face. "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU ...!" I can't wait to make a comparison of this set... with my own Burrow. I've also been thinking to compare all of the new sets with their older versions, but it seem you're doing this also, Clone O'Patra, so I'm looking forward to it!
