  1. ABS is the only choice available in a local library. I will still try out 0.10 mm setting, though it's double the duration. But looks are not so critical, will be an honest indicator that some illegal parts have been used in my builds :)
  2. Finally got to print the tester with Prusa i3, 0.15mm and ABS. Best fit seems to be 0.9 / 5.0 which seems to be as good as original Lego. Not the prettiest print though.
  3. Thanks (for amorti too)! I have built that without the tank, just didn't connect the dots.
  4. Is the compressor some Lego part or something that you build?
  5. Sorry what is a compressor? This is an interestic topic. I'm wondering in what kind of cases you have to use pneumatics instead of gears, axels and actuators.
  6. Big moon: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/planet-earth-and-moon-in-orbit-42179
  7. I'm not getting notifications from this thread... Worm gear is good idea, that is probably best way to produce the required force for the switch. I have the ones with two holes. e: This could also work: https://brickset.com/parts/4528037/linear-actuator-10-15-m
  8. Thanks! We have cheap printing here in public libraries so maybe I'll do a test.
  9. Thanks :) I guess 3D printing is difficult, since you would like the tolerances to be quite small. Is there a reliable (Chinese) brand that makes original looking and durable parts in those missing sizes?
  10. Beginner question: all the beams have odd number of holes? Half beams have 6 hole version but not one with 4 round holes? So do you cut custom lengths if something else is needed?
  11. I agree 100%. And since you won't (usually) make parts, you have to use a bit of imagination when making things work.
  12. Good to know that genuine switches might get looser over time.
  13. This in nice invention. I meant that because the switch is so tight, you have to have a long lever for it. Btw I just got some new used switches and they are easy to work with and would work like in your video. The ones i got earlier are so tight that legos would break first. They are hard to move even by hand. Maybe they are faulty. e: just noticed new/used switches have label "mould king" on the side :(
