  1. If we do actually get an underwater technic subtheme, I'd love to see some kind of depth control, possibly bringing the concept of am air tank back. An underwater motor would be amazing, along with some kind of radio control that can penetrate a few meters of water, and maybe a pressure sensor of some kind. That's why this is called a discussion thread
  2. That's the solution I've been thinking of all the time, as it allows for much more space around the axle for a steering and diff lock motor, also requiring less special parts
  3. I can't imagine Lego designers finding a MOC on rebrickable and thinking "oh we can't make one of the most popular MOC themes because someone already did it
  4. Or if you really want to push yourself, maybe a 7+N would do, but I can't see how could it be implemented with RC without sacrificing the interior. Or, a DNR selector would make sense if you used an LPE to power the model, but then, fitting a 3x diff lock, valve motors, and an air tank would be challenging
  5. Why would you have a DNR selector in an RC model?
  6. That's a manual model, and I don't see the point of testing it like that
  7. I said that it was a disappointment, why would I pay $700 for less then 3000 parts? Also I'm not really into crawler cranes I said it would have been delayed and not that it is delayed
  8. That is quite possible, and if so Lego would face a decision to either delay the set like with the 42146, and un my opinion it's the most disappointing set we had in a while, or leave the front screwed up as is.
  9. I'm talking by gwp standards and not by general build standards. I won't buy this set anyway and even if I do, it will be for the parts, so getting a few more from the gwp is better than getting a bunch of system parts that you already have.
  10. Looks pretty cool, I'll definitely be using a similar solution in my MOCs.
  11. You either shorten the wishbones and use double CV joints or make a dial drive and connect one side to one output if the diff and the other side to the output
  12. It's also a good parts pack, with rare rings and stuff
  13. Well, maybe that's because they're all off road vehicles with 3 diffs and a front independent and rear live axle?
  14. I do think it's a good gwp, just, if it's worth $200 now, imagine how much would it be 10 years later
  15. If I was that guy, I'd wait for like 10 years and then sell it for €1000
  16. I think it's a Panhard rod of some kind.
  17. Modifying it into a wider version would give you an excuse to have more space for a front diff lock.
  18. Toyota makes SUVs, pickups, sports cars and they've recently released a supercar. Which one are you making?
  19. Sorry, wanted to comment, realised that I read it wrongly, now I can't remove the mention@Jockos. They also take longer to come out
  20. Racing brick made a video about 4 August sets, including the rover
