Hi Juxtapoisson, Yes, we can use two wide two tall single white bricks instead, but the two wide one tall brick is more common and easier to get. It is good for any kids who want to build it at home with their own parts.

My model is a city bus with New York City MTA livery. I have put more detail on this model comparing to the lego buses in current or past city sets. The reason to build this bus is to provide Lego fans specially to kids to have a Lego bus with the more realistic look. Bus is a popular vehicle type among children. I remember when I was a child, I always wanted to own a great looking lego bus. I believe I am not the only one who has same wish. I submit the project to LEGO Ideas. Bricks by The Bay is a charitable non-profit organization.They hold a lego show in the bay area every year. Here are some pictures of the show I took on the last Sunday. Thanks for your comment ^^ Hi, appreciate your comment. Though the door mechanism works, it need to be reinforced to avoid loosing. I look forward to seeing your moc with better mechanism. Because of my limited living space, making building will be a difficult thing for me. So I prefer to build some small moc. further bus is my favorite type of vehicle. Thanks for your comment.

It is a beautiful building. So much detail in this MOC.

I wanted to use the regular green too, but can not find the "Curved 3 x 1 No Studs " with this green . So I only can use dark green instead .

The model was disassembled, since It dropped to the floor by accident, but I will show you the door structure in the coming A300k Bus model. Hi, I think that the rack at the front may be easier to let the driver to see the passenger taking the bike to avoid an accident. Hi, the doors can be opened, but I forgot to take some pictures for the bus with opened door. I will show it in the coming A300K Bus model.
