  1. Congratulations boys you have been very helpful in the academy, you definetely deserve it :)
  2. Because it's very expensive to make new molds.
  3. He means it won't be available at stores, you can't pick it up in a toy shop. You must order from the internet, it's a S@H exclusive.
  4. Well done Thrash! That's really nice but there is a little problem. Have you ever seen a dwarf woman ?? They never reveal themselves, they are always hiding in the depths of caves.. Maybe because they are shy or maybe because the yare ugly, I don't know. But one should never talk about dwarven women nor display them like that. That's humiliating for the dwarf community, we don't want to experience their temper do we? So please hide those pictures :) Just kidding, I really liked your blacksmith. It follows the guidelines, now we know how our models should look like.
  5. Sweet :) Colors made me dizzy !
  6. Licensed Theme: -Battlestar Galactica, you have to make it :) Specific object: -Hagia Sophia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hagia_Sophia General themes: -Technic - A super car like 8448/8880/8466 -Castle - Elves!! And more sets that doesn't involve "violence". We could use taverns, chicken pens, blacksmiths, windmills and that sort of things -More girlie things like Paradisa. Belleville and all those themes were not so interesting for older girls. What I don't want: -Historical events.. They may bring up arguments about politics of nations, we wouldn't want that. -Electric elements in every set. It increases the prices. We had 8292, 8293 & 8297 with PF parts last year and many more in the previous years. We have lots of motors and battery boxes that has no use. We could have spent our money on more parts instead. Thank you for your great toys!
  7. Thanks mate! I already started another room, a room where all the "magic" happens. It's a little larger than the blacksmith forge though. But I'm missing tens of odd tiles, it may take a few weeks to complete. And I tried the water with transparent plates but it didn't look as good, I like pastel colours more. Here's a picture of my next room, unfortunately I don't have any of the parts necessary to complete this. I couldn't find all of them in a Europeen store on Bricklink and I already had two orders open :( If anyone can help, please pm me. Comparison: http://www.legoadam.com/temp/32.jpg
  8. Thank you very much all, it's good to see that MOC posting is always nicely welcomed here. See you in an other creation! It was indeed a living chamber Sandy, but we had to make more weaponry to fight against orcs. So we had to build more blacksmith forges, this room was turned into one:
  9. You're right :) My module system turned out to be a useless one, I didn't think of those. Let's hear other solutions.
  10. Wouldn't that leave free space in the castle?? Rats will reproduce there quickly, you don't think deep enough :) There is never enough room for what I want to build. But bigger creations require more parts and I myself can't always afford it. And doN't give up, not many people came up with ideas for the module system :)
  11. I completely agree. We should have two sizes, 16x16 for smaller "rooms" and 16x32 for bigger creations. This way we could bring then toegther without a problem and it gives us more opportunity to create. I'm sorry Kim but I'm with metalandi here, we don't need to build the wall inside the creations. Wall will limit the space we have, besides it would be better to focus on the interior design rather than working on the wall. Here's my idea: Every 16x16/16x32 section should have two walls. One (white wall) will lean on the great outer wall and the other one (red wall) will lean on the neighbour section. This way outer wall will not take room in our creations and every creation will automatically have three walls (not counting the one on the last left/right, depending on where we decide the place one wall) covering it. Then we can build the great wall over the light gray plates. This should work fine enough with interior modules. For exterior models such as bazaar, stables etc we may remove one wall (red wall) so they will actually be exterior. And it will be modular when it comes to building them together. Brown Technic bricks shall connect the outer wall sections and each module will connect to the outer wall by the yellow Technic bricks. Besides we can have a standart outer wall if everybody doesn't build a wall by him/herself..
  12. Actualyl I built it yesterday night :) But I do know it doesn't match the guidelines: So I won't be participating in the community build with this model but I may inspire other members. I hope you like it!
  13. I "might" be interested in building a stable but what is the size limit ? 16x16 like in blacksmith?? That would be too small. The image in this page shows a 16x32 basepalte I think, if that's the limit it would make things easier.
  14. Here you go: More information can be found here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22038
  15. I heard you guys are on a community castle building spree so I thought why shouldn't I join in. I came up with a blacksmith forge. I wanted to follow the guidelines but my 16x16 baseplates were hidden somewhere in the depths of my room so I built my own. Then I had to use 1x2 Technic bricks to connect different models but it looked very ugly so I removed them. I practically made up my own standarts, sorry for that. But I want to share it anyways.. We are in the castle of Crownie Kingdom where dwarf and human race lived together in peace until the evil orcs started their invasion on our villages. Then we had to make more swords and spears so that we could save our folks. Dwarves are known to be the best blacksmiths so the Crownie king spared a nice room for them to work. Unfortunately our dwarven blacksmith had a tiny little problem while he was eating his lunch. A silly mouse tried join the meal but does he have any luck? Will that hammer crush his poor bones? Or will he manage to get the nicely cooked turkey stick? We'll see ! Brickshelf folder when public Direct link to my web site gallery I hope you like it, let me know what you think so I can improve the model and myself. Notes: Could admins please change the topic name to "A Dwarven Blacksmith in the Crownie Castle" please ?? (Thanks a lot IS !)
  16. I'm in too! In fact I already built my blacksmith, I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them here. My MOC is titled "A dwarf blacksmith in the Crownie castle" not so imaginative :) BTW I don't mean to offend you guys but I think your creations are way too "study" ... Maybe you should built in a way that hides studs? They look a little childish to me this way .. [runs away from angry Eurobricks members]
  17. Oh dear! I signed up one long year ago :)
  18. Hehe :) Thank you for the nice warm welcome. I'll have to do the math for my age, can't say for sure! And I prefer not to talk about BSB any more, it hurts me enough. Some of you have already commented on one of my MOCs, Battlestar Galactica Raptor: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21860 I'll try and publish more creations once I can spare time. I'm also trying to get a gold tag from the Reviewers Academy and that's actually how I started posting here on this forum. Even though I've been a member for a longer time I wasn't posting. It was a nice move for some AFOLs who lacked the motivation to talk :)
  19. Hello nice people of Eurobricks, it's Cagri here. I'm a 22-23 year old "gentleman" from Turkey. I've been studying economics for 5 years and it's my last year now. Hopefully I'll start my Phd degree about Turkish History next year. I'm also a swimmer and I'm quite interested in cinema. My main goal is to become very rich and conquer the world and rule my empire of blood and tear - kidding of course, all I want to bring is teddy bears and chocolate. My interest in Lego started when I was a cute little child. My parents bought me brick buckets and town sets then came the rest. I never had dark ages, I practically spent my life playing with silly plastic toys. I'm mainly interested in Technic and Castle themes. I'm remotely interested in space too. I collect SW sets for the pieces and trade the figures for more parts. I prefer to build MOCs rather than displaying sets. I have a mid-size collection of 70k-80k pieces. My biggest regret is refusing 6285 Black Seas Barracuda for my birthday gift. I prefered a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van instead, they were very popular back then :) I'm an occasional poster on Classic-Space & Classic-Castle forums and Technic Bricks blog too. I'm often found in the Bricklink chat room and I run a tiny store over there as well. Last year I opened my web site and blog and a few months ago I founded the Turkish LUG which is still not so active but good for a start. We're a small community but I hope we'll get bigger once we can afford the expensive Danish toys :) You may find the links in my signature and you may find me by the nick legoadam or cagri in many other Lego related forums/blogs/sites. Laters peeps!
  20. Let's not forget the maid: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/KimT/Cas...ketplace003.jpg She's not new but we'll have her next year as well..
  21. I use the first one for crossbowmen, the second for infantry and I don't use the last one at all. It's not detailed enough.. So yes, it bothers me in some way :) BTW I don't like dark bley legs either ... Light bley is better
  22. I always had a rather strange interest in Aayla Secura and this one looks cute too.. Nice job! BTW original stickers are lovely too
  23. Thank you guys, your words are encouraging! We do have an interior but with a couple of problems. Comp/nav controller can be seated inside if he has any headgear. And there is no way for the pilots to get in the ship since the door won't open :) Here's a picture of the interior, I'll add it to Bshelf as well: BTW if you deal with funding I'll surely build a fig-scale Galactica, in fact I'll build a human-scale too :) And Colonial1 would be harder for me to build, it requires quite a lot of detail on the back.
  24. Another 150 USD (I assume) gone :( I'll have to starve if TLG keeps producing great Castle sets. Stop it now ! -We get a new turkey (complete one, not just legs!) -I think I see some light bley fishes -A couple of oxes -Five peasant figures -Two great (and big) buildings -A nicely built tree with dark green leaves -A couple of crownies -A (classic) treasure chest, some bright green apples, some weapons, some containers...
  25. OMG !!! That's just great, can't wait until tonight. Post more pictures :)
