Dump Truck is only a 50-55 USD set. Not big at all ? Just like the Cherry Picker, it looked much better though! -

Really nice job then cybermaster, really nice! I couldn't build it even with the instructions :) Of course there will be, what makes you say that? -
-Where are you from? Turkey, Ankara -How old are you? (general is ok too) 23 -Name? Cagri -male/female? Male -single or married? Single -kids, pets, imaginary friends, real imaginary friends, side personalities in minifigs/username? None that I know of -what do you do for a living? Student -Any other hobbies/activities? Swimming, Films -Why did you become a Lego fan? Parents bought me lots of Lego when I was a little kid, I got addicted -When did you start? When I was 4-5 years old -Why did you join the Eurobricks community? (what do you think about it. remember you can PM me just in case) To communicate with other AFOLs -What do you do here? (do you have any jobs, lead anything, create anything, are part of anything?) I post silly messages, does that count ? -How much time do you spend here typically? I don't know, a couple hours a week? -How much time do you typically spend with Lego? A lot of unfortunately, over 10 hours a week And a few new questions -Have you gone through a "dark period" with Lego or the website? No, never! -Why? Uh? .. because ! -How do you feel about being part of this community? People are really nice around here unlike many other Lego forums. Definetely my favorite. -How do you feel about being a Lego fan? If I was a fan of something else I could save a lot of money and wouldn't starve -How do people around you view it? They think it's cute. -If in a relationship, what are the interactions with them and your Legos? (what do they think, do, how they feel) (save purchasing/monetary topic answers for later) First they make fun of it, then they want to play with them. -Same as above, but for kids? and pets and so on? My little cousin loves playing with Lego. We build robots and fight to save the planet :) -What do you think about the "spirit" of the website? Its friendliness? I love it here, like I mentioned above. -Has your relationship with Lego changed? Addiction only get worse, I'll need to be hospitilized soon. Bummer :(

Wow! Really sweet, where did you get the instructions? And which software did you use? By the way, don't worry about being French. It's ok :) -
I'm quite surprised that this many people actually enjoyed this set. I really didn't like it, not at all. It was very boring to build becasuse it had so many repeats, both for the wings & engines and also the base. It's also very hard to display for its strange shape, not that I display. These two may not be TLG's fault but still .. Cockpit is fragile, wing mechanism is complicated and doesn't work properly and it's hard to align them while building as well .. I don't know, I didn't like it! The part selection was interesting to me and I traded the expensive pilot figure for more parts. Other than that, I "dislike" this set. 55 USD is way too much and if I was collecting the figures I probably would curse a lot! Get the Magnaguard instead, it's way better.

Then you'll love these sites: http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/BuildingI...ns/default.aspx http://www.hccamsterdam.nl/brickfactory/ http://www.peeron.com/ http://www.br-eng.info/words/index.php/sea...o-instructions/

Do we actually need instructions for those :)

Remember the "Skeleton Chariot" & "Knight & Catapult" ?? Brickset claims they will be available this year: http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=5372-1 http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=5373-1 We normally don't get new sets realesed in the last months of a year. What do you think ?

That's quite bad news for me actually. I have been waiting for dark purple a horse helmet & a 1x4 flag since the release of KK2 .. Now Danju will never have a horse and flag in his color.

Remember my blacksmith MOC ? Well, I enjoyed building that very much so I decided to make up a story after it. Here's the second part of the line, tell me what you think! Introduction: Until the orc attacks begun, humans and dwarves lived happily in the land of Crownie Kingdom. But time has changed.. After the initial shock and destruction, every young men throughout the country were called to arms while dwarven blacksmiths produced weaponry. King Crownus ordered his troops to evacuate civilains from nearby villages. A band of royal knights captured some orcs on the way back. One of the prisoners were sent to the old wizard for examination. This MOC tells what happened to him... In The Wizard Quarters: While the old wizard remotely examines the chained orc, Crownie guard hardly keeps himself from attacking the evil creature. Away from this hatred and evil, a small frog tries to follow what's happening in his lovely room. More and better pictures will be added this weekend check back! Direct link to my web site gallery Brickshelf folder when public Could admins please change the topic to "MOC: Anatomy Of An Orc" please ? Thank you !

Set Review: 8293 Power Functions
cagri replied to cagri's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I just tried it for you Thomas and unfortunately it does. That was a vital point for the review, I don't know how I missed it, sorry ! -
I would love to have elf sets. Since I saw the first orc/dwarf set, I've been waiting for them. And I think we'll eventually have a few. And since I'm a purist, I don't like decals & all those sorts of custom items. They won't satisfy me no matter how good (Brickforge/Brickarms stuff is very good though!)

Then forget about Eurobricks, join the Turkish LUG: http://forum.legoadam.com/ It's much more fun over there :) (ok maybe not)
-
Welcome to Eurobricks Kamil, where are you from ?
-
Welcome to Eurobricks Nannan, nice to see you here.

Rebelrock could you please stop building? I love every single model you create and that makes me sad .. and jealous! Well done :)

Technic sets from 2009
cagri replied to legomilk's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There has been changes in some of the models Lasse. In the old catalog images 8260 had a different wheel, like the one you're showing. But now it seems that they have used one of the old Model Team wheels and a pulley to cover it: BTW Blakbird, 8261 won't have the suspension mechanism of 8858, you may want to compare it with 8435 instead. To be honest, I'm not interested in any of the new Technic sets. We already had many quad bikes, dozers, tractors etc.. Transport Truck is overpriced because of the electric elements just like the Cherry Picker and this one is ugly as well. The new yellow wheels are nice and that's the only good thing I can find in it. Besides we may get the actuators from 8294 at a lower price.. Only the monster truck may be interesting for the suspension mechanism. I liked the older (8435) version of this system, if I find a 8261 on sale I may think about getting it. But of course this s just the first half, always the weak part of the year. Grouchy smurf out .. -

It a MOC by Crowkillers, not an official set. -
Absolutely fantastic ! I loved every single stud in this MOC

I don't have any reversed shields but I have seen or heard many people talking about this. Probably they were printed in a different machine than the others, hence the difference.
