  1. Hello! Here is my entry to the Micro Scale Sci-Fi Contest. It is an interpretation in LEGO of the famous book by John Windham, "The Day Of The Triffids". Massive man eating plants break out of their greenhouses and start rampaging through the city, the micro city that is! Here they are breaking out. An overview. Rampaging plants! Thanks for looking, good luck to all the other contestants! More pictures when public - (link coming) Bob
  2. Here is mine "When General Greeblious showed up Obi-Wan decided it was time to go" I present a Sci-fi monster, General Greeblious (If it leans to much toward Starwars I do have another one up my sleeve). Bob
  3. In our new avatars are we allowed to "customize" LEGO? Say paint lego? Cut lego?
  4. Hello! Welcome to The Paths of The Dead. Aragorn has to undertake a journey through The Paths of The Dead in Return of The King to see if he can gain the allegiance of the Oath Breakers (men who swore that they would aid Gondor but when the time came deserted Gondor instead). I have replaced all the flesh in both Gimli and Aragorn and Legolas is my own design (Paint, ink, plastic). Enjoy. Artistic shot! (more on my brickshelf - http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=BOBTHEPOM - when public) Note: I built this to also go into my brothers BatCave creation (with a few changes first of course ). When he uploads his BatCave see if you can spot it! Also for those of you who were/are interested in my Dol Guldur creation, don't worry work hasn't stopped! I'm just awaiting a Bricklink order (it will take a while because of the Christmas break shipping). Thanks for looking! Bob
  5. Wow! very nice build, it looks a lot more "complete" than the set does.
  6. Wow! I would love one of those in my collection. Good work!
  7. Isn't that the same map that was used in a few Indiana Jones sets? If so I would have preferred a better representation of what I assume to be Thror's map.
  8. WOW! so much better than LEGO's interpretation, it appears both simple but complex at the same time. Amazing work I may just have to build it in physical bricks!
  9. Wow, just wow. Amazing work!
  10. Sorry for the delay guys, I'm waiting on a bricklink order to arrive so I can build the back wall of the gate house. I have just seen the movie "The Hobbit" and I have noticed that my version of Dol Guldur is very different from the movie version, I won't change my version and I will continue basing it off the picture. You can all take it as Dol Guldur before it was ruined . Bob
  11. Hi Guys! Some more pictures, I have started on the interior and the outside rock faces. Hope you enjoy, more to come. (These Uruk-Hai get every where....). The Interior Gate house Skull, spears and Scabbers, I mean... a rat The beginnings of a rockface. A Beserker showing us his lovely hand made path Thats all for now, hope you enjoy! Bob
  12. Thanks guys, remember this is only the beginning! I have ordered lots of rock from bricklink because i plan to make some rocky hills outside the gate. I have more photos and I will post them A.S.A.P. Thanks for the feedback!
  13. Thanks Speedboat! Good idea.
  14. W.I.P I have decided to build Sauron's Mirkwood fortress of Dol Guldur. There is not that many pictures out there so I have decided to use a little artistic licence . This is the first shots of the Gate house. This is the picture I am using ( I didn't draw it ) but you can see that I have built the front wall of the gate house. I am placing a bricklink order for more base plates and parts. I am using all the pieces from Helms Deep and 2 Uruk Hai armies, is there any other set which may provided me with some much needed castle parts? Hope you enjoy, lots more to come, Bob
  15. Thanks for the review! This is an awesome set, it's definitely on my list!
  16. I'm not "threatened" by the new direction the StarWars franchise is heading in. Maybe I wasn't clear, what I'm trying to say is that it will be very hard for Disney to produce something that will be at the standard that the OT was at, hence why I said that the OT was the best in my opinion. Will they be able to do it? Who knows. I must admit my hopes aren't exactly high about this but I am willing to give Disney a chance. I'll save my ranting and raving till after the movie is out
  17. It was said on Fox News that they (Disney) will make a new StarWars movie every two or three years. Personally I think this is terrible, how many movies do they plan to make? How many will we end up with? 10? 20? 30?? For LEGO this is a bonus because it could mean a whole lot more sets but I still doubt the quality of these new movies. Nothing was a good as the Original Trilogy in my opinion. -Bob
  18. Gloin by far, but Dwalin looks good too.
  19. Is that Elrond? It looks a bit like Gil-Galad I think. Does anyone think the same?
  20. Heres mine! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70452 oops and heres the picture
  21. This is my favorite scene from Attack Of The Clones, Count Dooku speeding away with his fighter escort. I re-designed the Geonosian fighter from scratch as well as the Count's speeder. Enjoy! The Count's speeder. Some moody lighting. This is the re-designed fighter. Finally here is the proud pilot with his new fighter. Thanks for poppin' by! Bob
