  1. Count me in! This is my favorite movie from the Saga so I'm definitely adding to this one!
  2. Yes I think it is OK to feel the packets but not for army building. However opening the packets is going to far. It is like opening a packet of pasta to see what type it is, then when you find its not the type you wanted you put it back on the shelf! The only time I was not able to find the figure I wanted was with the elf. I spent an hour standing there and I went through three boxes and found no elf! That was annoying and I think that if you want to build an army go shop on bricklink! At least thats what I would do.
  3. how much for a jango fett?
  4. Will do, thanks for the advice. New edits coming right up!
  5. THE SKYTOWER, Auckland, New Zealand. Unveiling my creation for the architecture contest. This is part of the LANDMARKS series. Skytower The Skytower is part of the Auckland city Skycity casino complex. The Skytower attracts over 500,000 visitors a year. The upper portion of the tower contains two fine dining restaurants and a cafe with one of the restaurants being New Zealand's only rotating restaurant located at 190 meters above the ground. The tower supports three observation decks at different heights giving tourists a full 360 view of Auckland city. The main observation level contains glass panels on the floor giving viewers a direct look at the city below. The Skytower also offers travelers the chance to participate on either a sky-walk around the rim of the tower or a sky-jump which involves bungy-jumping from the rim of the tower. The Structural System The Skytower is used by the Auckland Peering Exchange (APE) for telecommunications and broad-casting on level 48. The aerial located at the top of the tower is the largest FM combiner in the world combining 58 wireless microwave links at once. The Skytower also features largely on Auckland's night sky-line, used by the casino to attract visitors. The Skytower's lights also are used to signify major events in New Zealand. Facts about the Skytower Location:........ Auckland City, Auckland, New Zealand Architect:....... Craig Craig Moller Architects Building Type:... Skyscraper Materials:....... Stories:......... 63 stories The Architects The Architects of the Skytower were Craig Craig Moller Architects and they received a New Zealand Institute of Architecture award. Fletcher construction were the contracted building group and they were put in charge of all the building and technical aspects of the build. The project architect was Les Dykstra. Figure included for scale. Reference picture. Construction Highlights The Skytower is not only the tallest building in New Zealand but also the tallest free standing building in the southern hemisphere. Due to its unusual shape and its iconic height the Skytower has become a land mark in the New Zealand sky-line. A Word from the artist I really enjoyed creating this iconic building in LEGO form, I tried many different techniques and finally settled on the one used above as being the best representation of this amazing building. The moment I looked at the pictures I started thinking how I could capture this building that was obviously made to be re-made in LEGO. Hope you enjoyed reading and looking as I did building!
