(Source: Kotaku and Harmonix's Dan Teasdale) Dan Teasdale, Lead Developer at Harmonix (the company behind the Rock Band series), has let the cat out of the bag. In this post by Kotaku, which sources Dan's notes for the GDC (Game Developer's Conference), a slide (one that is actually in the notes, you can check for yourself if you'd like) shows a list of Rock Band and Guitar Hero games, including soon-to-be-released games. The Guitar Hero side shows nothing of note, but the blue Rock Band section has three unannounced games. "PSP" is the PSP version called Rock Band: Unplugged, while Beatles is just that - a game about The Beatles. The one in the middle, though, is the most intriguing - it simply says "Lego". Take it with a grain of salt, but I'm pretty sure this confirms it. =D ~Trexxen (PS: Here's a link to the entire thing. If you're into game design it's an interesting read, otherwise just skip to slides 68 and 69: Get the PDF here!)

For once, I've only got one song to put here - and it's amazing, I recommend it to everyone (if you're into that sort of music...=P) Megadeth - Washington Is Next! From someone who absolutely loves their guitar work, saying that the solo is the weakest part of the song is amazing - but it's true. =D ~Trexxen

Heh - saw this on Kotaku, interesting news...More HP in '10? Also, not to start rumors, but a quote from the article I read (that I pray is true): "...Anyway, let's move on. Onwards and upwards, as the resume leaks a third possible LEGO project: a demo pitch (remember, it's not a done deal, just a pitch!) put together by Traveller's Tales for the upcoming Hobbit films, the first of which is due in 2012. LEGO Lord of the Rings?" *crosses fingers* ~Trexxen

OLD Mafia and Mystery Games Index
Trexxen replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"if it hadn't been for my ability to get a treacherous investigator killed..." Aww, thanks. =D Western Mafia Gambit (I forget my name from that one, I don't even think we had names unless we decided them ourselves =P) Pretend to be loyal by getting in with a group that vows not to vote for other group members. Laugh evilly as you destroy the loyal townies from the inside out. Grim Gambit Make sure that everyone knows you're an investigator only when you're sure you won't be killed for it. Manage to pull off way more "kill me tomorrow if we have no better info..." than you should feasibly be able to do. Be a treacherous investigator. Trexxisanti/Quarrioni Gambit Pretend to make peace with a night killer that you're sure is going to kill you. Kill him. =P Oh, and not game specific (well, maybe a little in Baritones II...): Treacherous Gambit Pick a fellow mafian/rat/traitor/witch. Kill that person, come out as a vigilante later on and claim that kill. ~Trexxen -
Look on the bright side, Quarrioni - you don't even have to have your title changed! ~Trexxen

Hmm... If I had to pick any MOC to be my magnum opus, then it'd probably be a magnificent port town complete with imperial fortifications - set in the age of Piracy, of course! There'd be a trading post, a large fort (Larger than Eldorado by quite a bit), several ships of varying sizes, and then an actual town with MMV-like detail... I can dream... ~Trexxen

Actually, the irony is that we didn't even discover we were on the same side until that ill-fated mission we went on, when we were all detained and put in the same room. I was referring to my night action; I wanted to let someone in on it so I could dupe them into trusting me...=D ~Trexxen

Hinck - Thanks man, most of what I was going off of were the...ahem...suggestions of Perry and Ian, and that was before I knew Perry was a rat, and before I converted Ian. You have to know how to gamble to win people over - basically, I abused the "free PM system" and it worked, though both of them turned out to be on my side in the end... The game was great; several of the aspects of it I want to keep for the Pirate Mafia game Ian (gotta get used to not calling him that anymore =P) and myself are working on - the number of unique night actions and the relationships were brilliant; who'd have thought that the deadliest rat would be married to the gamebreakingly powerful loyalist? =P By the way, that brings up a question, though it's kind of topic - if Ian was Ivan all along, then how was he not a rat from the start of the game? Ian IS - Very, very well played - and I'm lucky that my conversion action wasn't a direct one, it seems! Even though you were late to the rat party, you turned out to be by far our most useful member - I thought it was over once they got Pavarti, but I knew you wouldn't go down without a fight - and I was dead on! I'm so glad that you PM'd me after that...trip you guys took on day 2, that won the game for the side of...err, evil? Good? I'm not sure (And by the way, I really should have listened to you and Perry and taken out Quarrioni - but my reasoning was that if I shot him dead, and then they discovered that I was the other killer, I'd be a surefire target - and so I backed down...Worst mistake of the game, that XD) Everyone - Well played on all sides (Well, except for the people that were banned during the course of the game - cough, cough...)! Here's some tidbits of information: -I corresponded with LeAnn, Perry, and Ian throughout the game; though the first one I talked to only for her information, knowing that she had to be a nutjob. -I killed Inertia because he was getting close to the truth, so TECHNICALLY I didn't lie in-game - he was saying too much private info in the game, but it wasn't because I was worried about it giving away night actions... -I shot Boyd while almost certain that he was a rat...sorry man, but someone has to be the scapegoat =P -That crumpled up note found in the trash was from Pavarti to me. -My next kill if Quarrioni had gone well? Willie. =P -The fight between myself and Quarrioni was the most awesome moment in ANY mafia game, ever. Two night killers, fighting barehanded to the death - so very awesome, it was. I'll probably keep the hung Trexxisanti in my avatar for a while (at least until the next game...=D), mainly because it's the most awesome thing I've seen in a long time - hung with a fishnet, who'da thunk it? XD ~Trexxen

Yes, we most certainly did LeAnn! =P This game was great - not only was I the killer for the rats, but I was the converter. My first attempt was on Dragonatieri, but it was unsuccessful. Thankfully, Ian had mistakenly contacted me early in the game and we happened to agree on many things. That, combined with the amount of misplaced trust in Ian, led to my immediate conversion of him... Also, my relation with Perry happened to be by chance as well - he was the first to figure out my killer night action, and on night 2 (I think), I found out he was a rat - I definitely made a good choice to trust him! After that, it was a simple matter of getting him to keep doing what he was doing and convincing you all that I was loyal. Unfortunately, a well-played move by Quarrioni got me killed - don't know if it was by a coin toss as Quarrioni mentioned, though - I'm curious about that...=P Anyways, though, I have almost all of my PMs from the game saved (at the request of, well, the people I PM'd), so if anyone wants them I can either post them here or e-mail them to people. It's been great, and I too am looking forward to a Baritones III - although after what happened in this game, I think there won't be one...=P ~Trexxen

Alright, I have a rather large dilemma here, so bear with me... I've decided that I want to make a LARGE Lego purchase, and am going to save up $400 (don't worry, I've calculated in shipping and tax, so technically $463) for some sets. However, I'm having trouble deciding what to get... A. The UCS Death Star Playset (10188). Tons of rare and potentially valuable minifigs, interesting parts, tons of bley, and that awesome Mini-TIE. B. The three Modular City sets. If I did this I'd also be able to pick up another small set. C. An assortment of smaller sets from other lines, such as Pirates, Star Wars, and Power Miners (basically, anything but City, not because I don't like city but because it generally has less parts that I need.) I'm buying so that I can have a model to display for a few days/weeks, and then so that I can dismantle said model(s) and MOC with the glorious influx of parts. =P So...any takers? (Note: if you choose 3, feel free to make suggestions on what sets, exactly - and I'm not averse to doubles, either =D) Edit: I've made a preliminary list for choice C: UCS AT-ST Volcano Base Brickbeard's Bounty (Last set I need in the new Pirates line! =D) MT-201 Ultra Drill Walker Thunder Driller Dwarves' Mine Gold Chase I could also nix the MT-201, DM, and Gold Chase to get Green Grocer... ~Trexxen

The Baritones 2 Introduction & Discussion Thread
Trexxen replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Even in death, I always wear that same sly smile... It's been a great game everyone; just bad luck on my part on how the battle turned out I suppose... Now that we're together again, Zabrina...how about we reconcile a bit? =P ~Trexxen (And oh boy, I can't wait for the end game reveal...=P) -
If Lego ever decides to drop the price on these things, I might seriously consider picking it up. The Classic Space figures are awesome, and in my two favorite colors; and the Pirate - well, he's a Pirate! What more can I say? But the current price for them is a little out of whack - I'd much rather pick them up on Bricklink... ~Trexxen
-
Wow, this is amazing! If you manage to get the entire thing to animate...well, I'd put something here, but "words cannot describe" is both true and cliche...=P Anywho, I know you're making it for function over form, but if you can make it look like the Technologic robot, I'll be amazed. Here's a link for reference: ~Trexxen
-
Uh...problem is, I don't feel safe without KNOWING that he has a target... Now, if any of you can protect me - oh wait, he's dead - or block Quarrioni - oh wait, that guy's dead too. Well, yeah...problem/10. ~Trexxisanti
-
Hmm...look closely at the name of the orange character. It's definitely not "Fusion"; it's too spaced out for that. If I'm not crazy, I think it says "Pliskin"? ~Trexxen (We'll find out in a few weeks anyways! =P)
-
Uh...I'm pretty sure that's not Squidman. Look at the pictures again; the cyclops-looking one clearly says "Squidman" under it. ~Trexxen
-
I voted for Willie, but mainly because he seemed to have more votes on him. Quarrioni, can I ask you to do the honors of killing off Pavarti? It's not that I don't trust you to not kill me...well, technically it is, but... And in the meanwhile, what should I do? Nothing? Kill x, y, or z? <_< ~Trexxisanti
-
Wait - then what do the killers idle their hands with tonight? I'm guessing you're saying that neither of us kill...I'm fine with that if Quarrioni is, even if it's a bit worrying for me. So, which one are we voting for? ~Trexxisanti
-
I actually rather like Pavarti's idea. That way, it won't be on my conscience when I kill the wrong person, as everyone gets to decide all three kills. Plus, it keeps Quarrioni busy so that his hitman doesn't bust a cap in my megabloks... But then we have to ask, who do we vote for? Not that we wouldn't have to decide on that eventually anyways...We'd have one killer doing nothing at night, so we'd have to decide there too. ~Trexxisanti
-
Don't be that quick to count yourself and the others in your operation out. Even if it only takes one rat, who says that yours didn't go wrong solely because there wasn't a rat? I know it makes sense, and it's more in defense but anything, but I'm almost certain there could be a rat in that group. Besides, it would make for a nice defense, wouldn't it? ~Trexxisanti
-
Half of me wants to agree with the notion that we both take one of them out - for one thing, it gives us both a target, as I'm now more than a little paranoid about tonight - I'm on what would appear to be the bad list of a night killer, and that's no good for me...Besides, that way, let's take this hypothetical situation: -We kill Willie today. He turns up a rat. Everyone rejoices, and Pavarti is cleared of all charges. -Fast forward three days. No more progress has been made, and everyone's depressed. Night falls, one more mafian dies, and Pavarti emerges victorious - as the other rat... Then again, that's rather unlikely - but two rats have been in one job before... But on the same token, what if we kill Willie and he's innocent? Or same with Pavarti? Who does the other person kill, then? And if one's a rat and we vote them, yay - who do myself and Quarrioni kill then? (I'm REALLY not liking the wild west shootout thing, because Quarrioni doesn't kill, his hitman does...*shudders at the thought of us losing both night killers at once, leaving our family useless against threats* I can't decide if I want to vote, or if I want to kill both tonight and vote someone else now... ~Trexxisanti

Halo Wars Mega Bloks Coming All I can think of to say to that... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (And yes, I know that there's already a topic about MBs, but that's about owning them and other clone brands. This is different, and it warrants a new topic IMO...) ~Trexxen [EDIT: Oh, apparently there was a topic about this already. I guess this one can be closed or merged, then...]
