LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2026 - READ FIRST POST!!!

I’m actually going there today to watch Odyssey with my family. So I’ll pop in to the Lego store. Hopefully it will be 3rd time’s the charm with my search for grey PAB bricks for my base. I’ll report if I see any similar patterns to what you’ve seen. I noticed a similar thing at Leicester Square the other day. It was mostly adults at around a 40 kid: 60 adult ratio. But there were also a surprisingly large amount of American tourists. Only things I use Lego themselves for are pick a brick and double VIP points. Most of the time I use Amazon or Smyths (I got a banger 30% off deal on the Sanctum Sanctorum 2 years ago) So is that another hero alongside Bananaman, Count Binface, Alan Moore and Sir Francis Drake to add to the British Avengers? (That’s likely because there’s a full on Transformers store in the shopping centre.) I wonder if Lego will actually try and shelve the 2027 Smart Play. They evidently won’t sell. Even with all the marketing. Lucky. I wish my relatives cared about Lego. Maybe I can rope my sister back into it if editions produces Taylor Swift. But that wish is not as important as my one for a TIE Avenger!!! (Day #464 of being patient) -
Thanks. My inspirations were primarily the Jedi games, Battlefront and Rebels as those are really where we see imperial bases in full. But in general it’s a mix of sources and my own imagination. I would like to be able to add some junior officers (e.g. Lieutenant) in the future. I also won’t say no to expanding the stormtrooper garrison and tech crew.

With SW D&D officially being announced recently for 2027, I think next year would be the perfect time to do a CMF for the 50th anniversary. SW D&D characters CMF - all include male and female character options unless the head is moulded. Rodian Jedi Knight (inspired by the canary of Qui Gon in Clone Wars armour): Blue Crosguard and green standard lightsabers. Zabraak Outrider (battle damaged and repurposed clone armour like the outrider outfit in Jedi Survivor but with the breastplate): blaster rifle, knife and a crate of explosives. Twilek Jedi Master (Orange skin, high republic style robes and includes a hood): Holocron and standard yellow + magenta lightsaber blades. Imperial Loyalist (stormtrooper with dirty cracked armour and ammo pouch prints and a tattered poncho, eyepatch (male has an additional greying beard face print): includes blaster rifle, binoculars and imperial flag Quarren Rebel Commando (as seen in BF 2015): new Z-95 mould and rebel flag. Human Cyborg Bounty Hunter (essentially Rako Hardeen’s outfit but in different colours and a Hutt Cartel insignia on the new helmet mould): includes a blaster rifle and hologram plate of their bounty Mandalorian Mercenary (rose and white coloured armour, jet pack and Mythosaur cape): dual blasters and flame piece Pantoran Scoundrel (outfit inspired by Cal Kestis’ base appearance in Survivor): blaster pistol, Bee-D1 and sabaac cards Nightsister Survivor (self explanatory): energy bow and green spell pieces. Sullustan Sith Lord: dual wielding lightsabers (introduces a shorter trans blade piece) and a Sith holocron Devorian Senator (finely dressed with blue colour) datapad and a Anzellan Senator Togrutan Pirate: vibro axe, musket and crate of credits -

So yesterday I was in London so I went to both the Leicester Square (UK Flagship) and Battersea Powerstation station Lego stores looking for PAB bricks for my base. Alas, no such fortune. But at both of the stores there were Smart Play demos. They had both run out of battery. And even though the I’m sure they restock them frequently, I saw absolutely no movement on the shelves for the 30 mins I was at each store. Nor anyone in the shopping queue with any of the sets. And there must have been like 100 people in the Leicester Square store. Somebody once told me the galaxy is gonna roll me I ain't the fastest TIE in the hangar Tarkin was looking kind of dumb with his finger and his thumb In the shape of an "L" on his forehead Well, the rebels start comin' and they don't stop comin' Fed to the missiles and I hit the ground flyin Didn't make sense not to live for fun Your nav computer gets smart but your Pilot gets dumb So much to do, so much to see So what's wrong with taking the rearguard? You'll never know if you don't go You'll never whine if you don't blow Hey now, you're an TIE Avenger Get your game on, go play Hey now, you're a TIE Avenger Get the show on, get paid (And all that glitters are blasts) Only shootin' starfighters break the mold (Day #463) -
Thanks! The bunks and their barren style are actually inspired by the ones shown in the Pelta’s barracks in the Clone Wars S2 worm infection episode. And I imagine the empire didn’t like to promote comfort anymore than the Republic. Fortunately Rick couldn’t make it as he’s too busy soloing Abeloth. So instead Cal’s got his cousin John the Speeder Mechanic to worry about. Thanks! I’m glad to have surprised you. A bit of both. I’ve probably spent £30-40 on PABing tiles online. I plan to keep major costs down by hopefully running into a good grey brick selection on physical PAB walls. Bricks on average are by far the most expensive component to this anyway. And you can basically get twice your money’s worth if you take the time to stack into the boxes. Tiles are less likely to be on the PAB walls so I can stomach spending the online prices on it. Thanks! Glad to hear you like it. at least 2. Though the 2nd level will have a landing pad taking up a lot of space so it should be easier to fill out. I have the concepts of what a 3rd level could include and that’s basically just a comms tower and some turbolaser turrets. I’m not sure what else could work/ make sense so high up. Any ideas?

I am sure many of you have been wondering what it is I do in my spare time when I’m not ranting about TIE Avengers, glazing Green Lantern or complaining about Smart Play. Today I give you the answer. I have been gradually working on this fella for 1.5 years now, and i’m nowhere near finished. But as some of ya’ll have requested a look, i’m going to give just that. I thank the many of you who expressed interest in seeing this, even in its unrefined state. Without much further ado let’s get started. Ah yes. The simple Moff Gideon’s bunker. One of the best sets of 2024. Worthy of its own thread by itself. But wait, there’s more! Much more. Inspired by modular buildings, there are currently 3 plate components. With 4 more 16x32 plates planned to be added in order to eventually accommodate a landing pad. The forward module is a 32x32 plate. Including the base’s main infantry gate, a speeder maintenance bay, an armoury, heavy blast door and the forward halves of the two infantry barracks. The advent of the new speederbike design from the AT AT and assumably in the 2027 Endor BP is a happy coincidence as it will fit much better into the maintenance bay than the 2022 variant. The forward armoury can accommodate 19 blasters and a mortar. While providing ample space for a walkway around the weapon racks. The 2 barracks are both capable of housing a 8 man squad. (Note that this image is with the modular components split.) I plan on building another 8 man barracks for techs and pilots in future. Here is the other side with connection points. This is the start of the first 48x48 plate. With a lovely hallway. Obligatory hallway scene photo Apart from the trooper barracks’ continuation, on the right side of the 2nd baseplate we have the NCO/ junior officer barracks. The perks of this smaller barracks are 2 beds rather than 8 and equipment/ personal belongings drawers. The idea is that this houses the commanders of the normal barracks’ squads. This general here is out of place as Lego still is yet to make an accessible Lieutenant. And the actual officers’ quarters will be on a higher level when I get around to it, On the left side of the corridor we have a supply closet. And in here you can see Cassian monologuing To steal from the Empire? What do you need? A uniform, some dirty hands and an Imperial tool kit. They're so proud of themselves, they don't even care. They're so fat and satisfied, they can't imagine it. Here we have a view of how the corridor intersects left and right just before the detention block’s blast door. You can see a security checkpoint console where the two corridors intersect. Here is a bird’s eye view of how it intersects. Also note, a 2nd armoury in the top left, which will double as the vehicle hangar guard room. Here is the mess hall. This is largely a self service food system (empire doesn’t have the budget for a chef because they need 2 death stars), with the room being equipped with a microwave, water tap and food crate. I may build another in future due to the size of the base’s planned garrison. But for now this is the only one. Oh and @THELEGOBATMAN, I hope you will enjoy this pic of Dedra tolerating a BLT. Across the hall from the mess we have the stairwell (in progress). The stairs’ actual design draws inspiration from the 2015 Battlefront Sullust AT AT hangar map. I’m hoping those who know ball can see what I mean. Same stairs/ mess section but with blast doors slid shut. (Fully retractable) You may be able to notice the two variations of blast door. Heavy (2 stud width) and standard (1 stud width) the heavy blast doors are used to lockdown the sectors closest to the base’s entry points. The heavy door towards the back of the image seals off the hangar from the rest of the base. The standard blast doors are just to lockdown base sectors towards the interior. The hangar is under development. But as you can see, it will be housing speeders and smaller patrol vessels. The eventual landing pad will be for TIEs and shuttles. And just to finish off, here’s a back shot of the detention block’s foundations. Currently formatted to 4 cells, I might add another row. Depends how much space the landing pad maintenance elevator takes up tbh. This project was started as a way to use up loose parts, but I have been pick a bricking many more parts to make it work. Funny isn’t it? Thanks for reading. Any questions?

Daily reminder to not allow yourselves to become an infidel. With the way DC is currently, it will. Now I’m imagining that one scene where Dedra says “*titlecard* must be found” My new AT AT is now in the warehouse and will be reinforcing my remnant shortly. In other news: construction on my imperial base is well underway with mess hall, 2 squad barracks, 1 NCO barracks, speeder maintenance bay, supply closet, 2 armouries and front infantry gate are complete. Under construction: ground floor vehicle hangar, ground to 1st floor stairwell, detention block (currently 4 cells but may increase to 6.) Future plans: 4-6 turbolaser emplacements, landing pad (which will accommodate 2x 2021 TIE Fighter), command centre, hangar control centre, base commander’s office, officer’s mess, med bay, 3rd armoury, Emperor’s vault and many corridors -

Well now that the Paramount-WB merger is falling through, I think Lego DC’s best hope is if Universal buys the DC IP. That way we can finally restore the rightful universe and get everything back on track. #RESTORETHELEGOBATMANMOVIEVERSE Lego Batman 2: Superfriends Lego Superman: Building a Better Tomorrow Lego Green Lantern: Construct of Will Lego Wonder Woman: The search for the invisible bricks Lego Flash: Speedbuilding 101 Have you ever danced with a Batmobile in the pale moonlight? -

Fun fact. The Polish parliament has 460 elected representatives. Why am I mentioning this? It’s the 460th day of asking for a Lego TIE Avenger of course! I’ve kinda been feeling the same way ngl. But news more sets like the AT AT and Sandcrawler in 2027 along with our communal wish is bound to remedy that. AT AT cargo bay seating only seems to be for 2 troopers compared to the 4 it looked like before. Though it seems like a relatively easy fix. Plus there’s loads of standing space so I’m not complaining. -

My TIE Avenger has no nose. ”How does it smell?” I hear you ask. Terrible. (Day #459 of whiffing rhydo) For those who don’t know, Lego’s releasing a retelling of the Mandalorian on D+ soon. I’m honestly a bit upset that it’s not an original story but it should be fun. -

Excellent maths. But you forgot to factor in the MoT and DC sets Lego will make which will take up a not insignificant amount of set slots. … … Megabluck. Who am I kidding. Another 100 Batmobiles and Endgame final battles I guess. The name is Gambit. Lego didn’t remember it (for minifig inclusion) I’m still waiting for confirmation on which Scarlet Spider the mech is based on. -

Give X-Men’97 a few years. I’m sure they’ll get round to AvX in good time with the way they’re speed running storylines (they do it quite well though) I quite like the Quinjet. I think that’s the one I’ll most likely get if any. -

We have no buildup for the villain. All but 2 of our remaining heroes are weak in power set or just bad characters. So we started using characters from other universes for nostalgia-bait. We’ve recasted the fan-favourites to try to attract attention. We have 2 films to save the universe. Our comic department is crap so this is all we have. Ladies and Gentlemen. It’s time for….. @Mandalorianknight I hope I have delivered on your request. (Day #457 of having a clearer objective than 2022-25 Marvel.) Huzzah. Makes you wonder what the kriff happened last year. Agreed. Imagine how good a 14+ TIE Avenger would be. Eurobricks can be whatever is necessary to achieve the TIE Avenger Couldn’t have thought of a better idea myself. -

I feel like if Secret Wars is truly going to be inspired by Hickman’s story there’s a good chance we can expect a Thor Corps Battlepack as one of the sets. That seems like such a marketable thing to do. Normal, Jane Foster and Beta Ray Bill vs a hero character. -

House of Dragon suffers from this as well. AKOTSK and Peacemaker are the exceptions for some reason. I kinda like Hal’s suit here. It feels like a combo between Kyle’s 2nd suit and Hal’s traditional suit. Gives a kinda black ops style. Wouldn’t mind some white though. I’m now cautiously optimistic compared to my former doomerism. This does more for me than the Doomsday trailer anyway. If they wanted to do a cop-show inspired series for GL True Detective was never going to be the best template. It’s Brooklyn 99. And I’m not even kidding. -

It’s peak. Can’t wait to build it next week. I am flattered. But our best bet at getting the TIE Avenger (Day #456) is if it doesn’t include a minifig of me. Not particularly because of it being unlikely they’d make a minifig of an online lunatic, but more because if the Superheroes Designers see the SW team using a Green Lantern logo they’ll shut the entire operation down. They can’t accept anyone but Batman. Awesome song from awesome films. -
