  1. I created The Treasury in Petra, Jordan (Al-Khazneh) using only the pieces in one copy of set 21062 Architecture Trevi Fountain Instructions can be found on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-218660/Dex%20Bricks/petra-jordan-treasury-temple-of-the-holy-grail/ Thanks for the support! - DexBricks

  3. 10311 Orchid Alternate Build: Praying Mantis Escape (Medium Category)
  4. Here is my entry for the Alternate Build contest using one copy of LEGO 10311 Orchid to create this scene of a praying Mantis escaping a garden filled with dangerous tools. This build depicts the following: A praying mantis A manual grass cutter with spinning blades and wheels! White hibiscus flower with stem and fallen pedals A handheld cultivator/ garden fork A pair of yellow garden scissors/shears (Functional, it can be opened and closed ) My main focus was to create a dynamic scene which leaned into playability, but also looked nice and cohesive. I started with the mantis, then, I figured that the blue and gray parts could be used on garden tools to make them appear as a part of a set or collection, similar to how brands will make all their products a certain color. The unorthodox combination of unique parts in this set meant that I had to use parts in new ways to make stable connections that also looked how I wanted. I managed to use roughly 85-90% of the included parts, I never realized how most botanical sets are essentially disguised techinic sets haha. The large quantity of technic parts forced me to build with a completely different mindset since I typically build with mostly system parts. It was difficult for me to make something stable that resembled a mantis, but I've gained a new appreciation for technic's usage for structural stability and dynamic components. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the build! 5. Dang, that sucks to hear, but I understand why it is that way. Thanks for responding and clarifying!
  6. Would it be possible for the price bracket of the large category to be extended? It seems like I and some other users want to make alternate builds of slightly larger sets. Personally, the new UCS TIE Interceptor is the only build I have on hand currently, but the RRP is $240, so I won't be able to participate if the price bracket stays as it is currently. Thanks so much for your consideration and putting on this amazing challenge!
  7. I made one last LEGO Indiana Jones Set before the theme retires this year. I built the amphibious boat car from the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Instructions are on Rebrickable: https://reb.li/m/202171 ' Thanks for the support! - Dex Bricks
  8. Haha thanks for the support! Unfortunately, there wasn't enough black plate to cover the blue, I'm sure 10-15 additional plates could cover the remaining filler brick!
  9. Interesting to see how people are split on the cockpits, I've seen a lot of fans prefer either one or the other. I also preferred the 2015 cockpit until I got the set in hand, so there's that lol. Thanks for the suggestion!
  10. I was surprised to see that no one had done it, then I tried doing it and realized why haha. The black parts are very limited and their usage had to be carefully planned, I think I did pretty much the best I possibly could with my abilities. Thanks for the kind words!
  11. Hi everyone! I recently purchased set 75382 UCS TIE Interceptor and I wanted to try and turn it into a TIE Fighter with only parts from the set, this is the outcome. Changes were only made to the wings and stand. Both wings are mirrored and use the exact same pieces. Some inspiration was taken from the 2015 UCS TIE Fighter (75095) The smaller surface area of the TIE Interceptor wings made it difficult to cover the wings fully, but I believe it turned out well. Details: Size of Model: 33.5 W x 27.5 L x 41.5 H (cm) 0 extra pieces are needed! Here's the link to the Rebrickable Instructions if you'd like to build it yourself: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-201687/Dex Bricks/imperial-fighter-75382-ucs-tie-interceptor-alternate-build/ Hope you enjoy the model and keep building!! - Dex Bricks
  12. Coruscant instructions are now available on Rebrickable! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-193365/The_Star_Wars_Shop/coruscant-uscuru-entertainment-district-modular/
  13. I would be willing to take them if that's ok with you. I also made a Coruscant moc, but I am not sure what place I got because they only ranked the best two.
