Personally, I like them both. Johnny Thunder for nostalgia's sake, but Jake Raines because, all things considered, his sets were pretty good. But I'm going to have to choose Johnny here. While Jake is more of a modern take of an archaeologist (Think The Mummy), Johnny's antagonists were better, and the sets were a bit better in design (No brick-built creature gimmicks lead to better designed temples and cars).

Ah, my mistake. I haven't been here in ages, so my knowledge of the new themes is a bit rusty. I guess you could use him as another zombie, in case there aren't enough in the initial set.

This seems like a theme I'm definitely looking forward too. The ghost train and Dracula's Castle are both must haves for me, and say what you will about Frankenstein's Lab, I think it would work extremely well if you modded it a tiny bit. Though the one set I'm very interested in seeing is the Zombies set. That sounds like it could have a lot of potential and lead to a bunch of Left 4 Dead/zombie apocalypse MOCs. (At least what I plan on doing with that set. ) Edit: In that video, I saw, what I think are one of the zombies in the Zombies set (He looks like a bus driver or something). If the rest of them look as good as him, I'm sold. But yeah, I'm stoked about these sets. Both the heroes and monsters look amazing (And I'm on the bandwagon that thought the monsters were CMF rehashes, but they're different, in a way)

I went to my local Walmart and was surprised that they had these guys. I felt around and got two Highlanders and one Sleepyhead. (I thought one of the Highlanders was the Space Girl but I was mistaken) That said I plan on giving the other Highlander a different head/hair piece so they aren't clones. . They were fully stocked and I'm definitely getting more next time I go.

Ah, alright, thanks for clearing the air. I might post a review I've been working on soon, then ask for some criticism.

Sounds good, but do you have to be in the academy to post reviews? I looked over the guidelines for the program and I'll have to get another set or so to kick things off. (That or scrounge for some of the ones I have together but MOCed with)

I can't wait for this batch. Really the one I'm definitely going to pick up is the girl rocker (Holy glam rock, Batman!), but I'll keep my eyes peeled for the others (The IT guy looks hilarious, the warrior looks pretty epic, and I have a soft spot for the Scotsman)

Believe me, I am. I hear this is a great place for Lego fans so I thought "Why not" and jumped right in, though to be fair I was a lurker before I joined up. Also, my camera is on the fritz so unless webcam pics are acceptable, I really can't do any reviews until I find another Li-ion battery.

Congrats for the winners! I thought the Royal Castle was going to win (That was my personal favorite, props to who did it), but I'm happy with who won overall.

I remember this set. I bought it on sale for $10. For that price, not bad at all, but I mainly got it for the elephant. The car's neat but nothing we haven't seen in the Adventurers theme before. At $20, I couldn't see myself buying it, but like I said, 10 smackers is the perfect price.

Hey guys, my name is James, and I've been a Lego fan since I was a baby. I recently got out of a small dark age and I've been getting sets left and right and building some MOCs (They're not as impressive as some of the stuff I've seen here). Really what got me out of my dark age was either the Pharaoh's Quest theme (Where my name comes from) or the newer line of Kingdoms. Then there's also the Minifigures (I have three of them coming in the mail soon) that have caught my eye. Anyway, as you can tell by my avatar, I'm a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Really great cartoon despite the name being corny as all hades) and a huge fan of cartoons in general. I'm also a musician (Guitar, bass, drums, and synth mainly). One thing I want to start doing are reviews, and I hear there's a reviewer's academy here? If so, I'd love to know more. Anywho, I hope to make some new friends here and post come MOCs and reviews soon. Peace guys!
