  1. Thank you! All the minifigures are actually from 6252 Sea Mates released in 1993. Thank you! The pictures are taken on a beach called Gunnarsstrand in Hangö, Finland. I live quite close to the spot where the pictures are taken. Hangö used to be a coastal fortress town when the city was a part of Sweden. Therefore it is vey suitable to take this kind of pictures here. My ancestors moved to the area from Sweden because they served in the Royal Swedish Navy. In 1809 the fortress called Gustafsvärn was attacked by the Russians and destroyed. They also burned the town. The structure you see is a combined border guard and harbor pilot station built in the 60s or 70s that is situated on the southernmost cape of Finland.
  2. Thank you!
  3. This is my contribution to Lego Ideas, if you like it you can vote for it in the link below. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/fe056819-d65a-4e83-b75c-38398be6ac67
  4. @MazinThe throne alternate build idea sounds very interesting. The extra brown tile needed for that could maybe be put under the altar in the original build. What happens to the pirate is up to each person's own imagination. That is what's great about Lego from this age, you have to use your imagination and no faction is portrayed as evil. It's up to you to decide who the good guys are or who'll win. I remember when I was a kid and played with Pirate Lego sets I always let the Imperial Soldiers or Imperial Guards win because for me they are the good guys (they still are my favorite factions from the Pirate theme) while my neighbor liked the pirates more and we used to have huge battles in his basement. I brought my imperial forts that he would attack with his pirate ships and the battle could last for hours without a declared winner. Those were fun times. Maybe I got a little off topic but I miss those days so much.
  5. At first I used a knife from Aquazone but I wasn't satisfied with how it looked so I switched it out for a black spear. The brown rounded bricks are just meant to be a platform to stand on because ergonomics is very important. I have tried to keep the number of parts as low as possible and therefore I have restrained from providing too much detail. Thanks for all the great ideas how to improve the build!
  6. This is my contribution to the mini set contest. I have created a small set called "Ritual Sacrifice" for the Islanders faction. The Islanders didn't have many small sets so I decided to build one.
  7. Thank you! I considered adding a row boat and some pirates but ultimately I went with the Islanders because they seldom appear in sets from other factions. You are completely right, some green would have been perfect but I didn't have the necessary pieces in green so I went all white. I was more focused on creating a "Spanish" look with the tower and the flag.
  8. @MazinYou have some good suggestion how to improve the build, I'm very grateful for the feedback. I know it's a bit cramped and it could benefit from more space. One of the Islanders could be sacrificed and I suspect that wouldn't be the first time. Actually you gave me an idea for a small Islanders set called "Ritual Sacrifice" that could be my entry in the small set contest. The lantern is inspired by the lantern from my favorite Imperial Guards set 6263. You can see a similar lantern in the upper right corner of the picture above. The awning above the window is inspired by a similar structure in Imperial Soldiers set 6267. The two pictures above are the properties of Brickshelf users Goparullleeezzz and Medex and used here only for illustrative purposes of the original Lego sets in the pictures. I tested some different gates and ladders for the dungeon but I wanted to keep it simple and mysterious. The skeleton has been there for a long time and no one knows about the ruby the skeleton is holding.
  9. I tried to build something that is similar in style to the official Imperial Armada sets. While I like the Imperial Guards and the Imperial Soldiers more I still fell that the Imperial Armada got way too few sets and got discontinued too early. They should have had at least a couple of more years and some medium sized and larger bases and fortresses added to their lineup.
  10. I also believe and hope that they'll be yellow but the table football game has flesh colored minifigs with different heads and hair pieces and that's not a licensed set. https://www.lego.com/en-fi/product/table-football-21337 I also believe and hope that they'll be yellow but the table football game has flesh colored minifigs with different heads and hair pieces and that's not a licensed set. https://www.lego.com/en-fi/product/table-football-21337
  11. I wonder if the customizable minifigures will be yellow or flesh colored? I really wish that they'll be yellow. A new large Blacktron spaceship would be fantastic.
  12. @Yperio_BricksThank you!
  13. This is so much better than the original. It has the right Lego feel to it. It looks perfect in every way!
  14. Hello I've been a fan of Lego for as far as I can remember. I'm mostly interested in Space, Town/Trains, Castle and Pirate sets from the 80s and the 90s and also newer sets that are related to the classic themes. I've previously been active on other Lego websites like Lugnet and Brickshelf but I'm new to Eurobricks.
