  1. Standard part shipping to the US has now been suspended thanks to tarriffs. Bestsellers are still available, at least. But there were also several parts (especially animals) I would have probably gotten if there was more of a warning... I'm very scared about what prices are going to look like next year. And not just for Legos.
  2. Croc is more-or-less a redesign of the old Lizard Suit Guy. Croc had more modern black eyes on the mask, leg printing, a rounder belly print, a full set of teeth, and a more visible minifigure face. The old one does have some advantages, though, such as having a separate mask and tail/back part and printing alone the spine. That old one is also just a classic minifigure, so I can't say wholeheartedly if Croc is 100% an upgrade... Though it probably is. Fish mask is a lot more difficult to make out, but it's not super clear. Looks a bit freakish, though. Can't say I'm holding my breath for leaks of the rest - I'm sure they will be fine, but I'm also not very excited. At this point I'm more interested in what May might bring...
  3. Depends on exactly what version they would go with - it would specifically have to be the Pooh without the red shirt, be more tan than yellow, and not be as round. The Disney Pooh is a lot more vibrant and what most people think of when they think of Pooh, so Lego would almost certainly want to go that way with things.
  4. That's like winning a "most lively chicken" award with a one-legged hen when the competition is a KFC bucket and a Costco rotisserie. Sure, you avoided Fan4stic's level of bombing, but that movie needed to be more of a home run that bunting the ball to 1st - especially when you're supposed to be the lead-up movie to the attempted revival/reboot of your franchise. If that ends up being true, I would hate that on so many levels. What would be the point of the last several films and TV shows - just spinning our wheels for half a decade in order to backtrack it all? And if that does work, are we now going to toss the Disney Star Wars Sequel trilogy into the bin for another reboot tying things back to older, well regarded media? Like, sure, there's probably some good that can come with that, and it might be enough of a carrot to get general audiences back, but it also feels kinda cheap and insincere to those who did like what came before (and I say this as someone who hasn't liked much from either the sequels or post-Endgame MCU). But, I also wouldn't be shocked if that does end up happening, since Marvel seems to be starved for wins that aren't nostalgia-fests (which I am just as guilty as everyone else for watching) and they've already tagged some of the old A-team to come back. For me, though, at the end of the day, it's not really going to rock my world (in either a watching perspective or a Lego-buying perspective) if things do slow down, or even go dormant for a bit. I've got all of my old stuff that I still enjoy, and it's not going to be going anywhere. And sometimes, a break from something is a good idea - even Lego Harry Potter went on hiatus for awhile, then came back with a reboot and has been going surprisingly strong ever since. Maybe the MCU and Lego Superheroes (both MCU and DC) could do with a bit of a break, or at least a reevaluation and refresh.
  5. You said "Wolves" and I got excited - it's actually the husky. There's also a Pirates Bundle, with one captain and four generic pirates. Either way, nice find. They kinda did something similar with the Lion Knight's Castle and made a link to get just Castle parts on that store's page... Apparently it got enough clicks that Lego wanted to do it again! I also wonder if this is preemptive to the horse and snake knight parts getting added to Pick a Brick, so make bundles of those more readily available.
  6. Haven't seen it mentioned yet, but there's another Lego Disney Princess coming to Disney+ on August 25th, called LEGO Disney Princess: Villains Unite. It seems to be a sequel to the last one, and once again features a lot of returning voice actors (at a glance I saw Paige O'hara as Belle and Johnathan Freeman as Jafar as being new to this one, and most of the ones from the original were returning). There's also a tease in the trailer for a Chernabog, which will be interesting to see in an official Lego form (and they did a great job with the Maleficent dragon last time). Sir Hiss also appears, which was cool to see. The last one was absolutely a guilty pleasure of mine, so I might give this one a go as well. Seeing how the last movie got a later tie-in set (43205) and the Maleficent dragon may have been a hint towards the later-release Maleficent set, there's a chance we get some kind of Friends set from this, and maybe a chance towards the Chernabog. That may be a stretch, though.
  7. That's the same mold the original rabbit suit used, though (and is still used as of this year in set 42661). This is a slightly updated rabbit head mold that was used in 80111, with a more angular face. The Nesquik one is completely different from those ones, though, but it's also a very different style and moreso is for that one specific character before the single-piece molds like Bugs Bunny or Rabbit were around.. So, it may or may not count as a "costume" like the other ones.
  8. Depends on if you count the Nesquik bunny or not.
  9. The frog's bubble blower and the Dalmatian's Frisbee are both possibly new - especially the bubble blower. There's a chance either of them could be printed tiles, though.
  10. A bit more Zelda news: Set 77093 will release March 1 and will have 1003 parts. Also, glad to see Eurobricks is back.
  11. List is out. All costumes, seemingly no new animal molds, common accessories... Pretty underwhelmed honestly.
  12. Only got two of my ten guesses right... That's what I get for trying to think of things besides animal costumes, I suppose!
  13. List is out for the January CMF:
  14. Before we got pictures of Hogsmeade, I would have thought Abeforth's goat was a possibility as well. Especially since it would keep the mold alive with MTS retiring this year.
  15. There's some kind of a D2C Zelda set coming early next year, but no details are known about it. Unless you happen to catch the Deku Tree on a really good sale, I would wait and see what the new one will offer.
  16. Wait... Rectangular? For an icon well-known for being spherical?! I mean, I understand that displaying an entire sphere is going to be a pain for people, and even potentially difficult to move, but if you have a thousand dollars to drop on this, surely you have the shelf space for it. Either way, that now seems like an odd decision. This could be one of the worst-received UCS sets since Hoth. My prediction now is that it's going to be several mini-dioramas that slide out like the most recent Ninjago City set. The diorama Trash Compactor was about 6 inches deep, and if this Death Star is about 10, they could expand on that size a hair, plus have a little extra room for a "case," and display things that way.
  17. Apparently not - Clay_Bricks has said that the dignitary's hat is "Close, but hers will be wider and have her hair coming out the back."
  18. Not just a mold, but also head and torso prints and a big cape. Maybe it's about trying to have a female hero in a set that's already more male-dominant, but I would have much rather had Batwoman's budget go towards Clayface - maybe even make Penguin a girl if we're getting a new mold and you want to keep the current gender ratio. And as far as the poll goes, I voted for the 2012 version - yes, it's aged a bit, but considering the time it came out and the part count, it's got a pretty good scale and had a decent diversity with the rooms and figures.
  19. Huh... I hadn't caught wind of that rumor yet. Digging around a little more, sound like it could be a conglomeration of several different past Batman movies? Interesting...
  20. Forgot to get my guesses in: 1. Bear Costume (New color of the existing mold - hopefully with cub, might just have a honey pot) 2. Branchiosaurus Costume (either green or blue) 3. Parrot Costume (cracker accessory) 4. Frog Costume (fly accessory) 5. Minotaur (moveable head, unlike the old one) 6. Mouse Warrior (Like the Crazy Bricks customs) 7. Dodo Reviver (scientist with a molded dodo) 8. Veterinarian (with a new cat mold, with either a cast for a broken bone or a cone of shame) 9. Dog Walker (kid with a dog and leash) 10. Magical Breeder (Wizard-looking minifig with a unicorn or dragon) And the already-leaked Koala Costume and Cat Costume to round it off. Tried to limit myself to just six costumes, even though I have a hunch there will be a lot more than that.
  21. Another round of Spider-Mechs, and still no Peni Parker?! And the round of Venomizing the entire Marvel universe continues... Lame.
  22. It's coming. We already know the release date, part count, minifigure list, and even have some minifigure leaks. Most of the discussion for that set is going on over in the Pirates forum, if you want to catch up.
  23. We have yet to get a single sticker in reference to any of the past Lego Marvel specials - I don't think this one will be any different.
  24. We didn't get any tie-in sets for the Mario Movie - I doubt DK would get one. There could be some kind of a loose tie-in, but nothing direct.
  25. Galidor-inspired Grogu? Grogu-ador?
