  1. I think its still too vague to tell if that set is even happening or what shape it will be in when it releases. The survey leak image is a spitting image of the Animated cottage, which I doubt Disney will be recreating wholesale for the live action version especially if the Dwarfs are not even conceptually the same now either. To that end, they put a lot of effort into a set mockup just to do a 180 on visuals which I don't see Lego putting that amount of money/time into doing. On that note, we are 100% sure the survey leaks were real, right? It wasn't just an elaborate hoax that Lego took down the images just to be safe?
  2. Was a staff pick too. Odd it got past vetting, then again there were over 300 submissions so I can't fault them too much. Looks like one of the Lion King submissions is up as an Ideas set now that it wasn't picked and I wonder how long until we see other submissions pop up.
  3. I actually put my vote towards Tinkerbell. It's the only one I could see myself ending up buying. The Mickey set seems like the winner but the only appeal would be the minifigures which have already been released. I don't need a 3rd Stitch or a Pinocchio that just came out (feels like a Tiana in the Disney Castle case) and Belle would be the only new one. Given the ballroom wasn't picked I can only assume a Belle figure is coming in another set which means it would be a repeat showing up here. Surprised by the choices, hope the lack of minifigure based sets points to more minifigure sets in the pipeline.
  4. This may be a stupid question, but where do we see the finalists for the Lego Ideas contest? It's in crowd vote but I can't see which sets we can vote on
  5. I think Sword in the Stone is one of those films where the parts are more than the whole. Disney uses Merlin a lot as their resident "wizard" character and he has been in many games, shows where crossovers happen between IPs and is probably the most popular of the films characters. Madam Mim has a small cult following and even got a face character spot in Disneyland's Halloween event last year which Disney wouldn't have done if there wasn't some sort of interest/demand for her. And as others have said, the sword in the stone itself is iconic Disney imagery but I think it is also the only moment from the film that would work as a set. There aren't any other scenes that lend themselves to a system style set outside of a potential Wizard's Duel but it would be an animal pack if anything.
  6. Given that the films are going backwards in release order, I think its Mirabel and Abuella at the very top with Elsa is Let it Go beneath them. The very bottom red looks like Sorcerer Mickey commanding the stars and Pinocchio beneath him which would put Snow White as the very last on the strip. Given Dumbo and Bambi are in the set, I imagine the 2 between Cinderella and Fantasia would be them.
  7. Bambi and Dumbo were a welcome surprise but I do wish Dumbo was in a more active pose. Would have been nice to pose him "flying". As for the camera, I love it but is the film reel stills from the movies or Legofied stills from the movies?
  8. Do we think there will be sets post 100 celebration or will any future characters be relegated to CMFs only?
  9. I think the Wartime Era has been barely acknowledged. Saludos Amigos The Three Caballeros Make Mine Music Fun and Fancy Free Melody Time The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad Granted, I don't think they hold many iconic/noteworthy set pieces but I think a Willy the Giant buildable fig with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy would be an option and minifigs of the Three Caballeros, Mr. Toad and Ichabod and the Headless Horseman would be the only drops to pull from this era.
  10. I can say having queued up at my Lego store this morning, of the 20 of us in line, only 2 were looking to get the castle. All 20 were getting the Hocus Pocus set so it does look like the more preferable set is the Sanderson House
  11. The "rumors" are that 43223 is a Beauty and the Beast ballroom diorama with Belle and Beast for $65 and 43224 is Pride Rock with 2 lions, 2 lion cubs, Pumbaa, Timon as a dreamzzz new body mold and regular minifig head and Rafiki for $200. As other have pointed out though, it shouldn't be taken as anything more than a wishlist by a fan.
  12. New account by the looks of it. Account made 9 months ago but only 2 posts and 3 name changes in the last 90 days. Most likely someone chasing clout unless a bigger, more reputable leaker can confirm the rumors. Some speculation to tide us over until October at any rate. I certainly wouldn't be mad if the rumors ended up being true.
  13. 43231 is listed as Dinsey Princess which seems to suggest it will be in the Minidoll line of sets and makes sense to be based on Wish given how Lego has traditionally released minidoll sets based around female led Disney Animation films (Moana, Frozen 2, Raya and the Last Dragon, Encanto) 43223 and 43224 are not listed as Disney Princess which leads to the speculation that they are part of the 100 line of sets instead, which would mean minifigures.
  14. If real, I could see the Pride Rock figs being Mufasa and Scar with the cubs being Nala and Simba. I'm taking it with a huge grain of salt but if these are real, I would be over the moon.....until I see the sparkles added to Mufasa's mane.
  15. I was looking at those yesterday as well as the Lost Boys. Though I wonder if there is any better torso for John's torso. Would feel odd that he has the most detailed printing of the siblings. Also, saw some rumors about 43223 and 43224 floating around the usual place. Any weight to those because they read more like wishlists with the wildly different pricing from what we were given.
  16. Is it weird for me to be waiting to see the Lego ideas results before starting to speculate on the other sets? I feel like, for example, if Lego is planning a Beauty and the Beast ballroom set then Ashenflash's won't get picked as a finalist because it would be a duplicate of a set they already are producing. But if Ashenflash's does show up, it would prove there is no Ballroom set coming because there would be no duplication if the set gets picked. I feel like what does/doesn't get picked as finalist will say a lot.
  17. Yeah, the holes on the side look more to do with the building structure rather than for expansion. That is super weird. Why make a new hair mold and only include the matching accessory in one set but not the other?
  18. Given how a less than 500 piece set can cost $60, I wouldn't hold my breath on the $100 set having many figures with multiple builds. More likely, it would be a larger Ballroom diorama with Belle, Beast, and some enchanted objects. The smaller set is odd. I'm hoping a small playset for Merida or Encanto to finally add them to the roster.
  19. No leg printing on Naveen is :/ Also, is that Luna Lovegood's hair on Rapunzel? Something doesn't seem right with it.
  20. Looking at the Wendy fig, anyone else wish they had moved her eyebrows a bit down? The hair piece is right on top of them and it makes it look like her eyebrows are nonexistent.
  21. Its a cute vignette that I was expecting to see the whole year and I do wish this is the direction they use for most of the sets to come but $60 is outrageous. For 2 reused minifigures and a small build, I agree that $40 would be my maximum on this. Will most likely bricklink Wendy and leave it at that.
  22. Thinking about it this way, it is possible the counterpart to the Villains Icons is in fact a Princess Icons with Princess minifigs to match their villains? Snow White in her rags, Jasmine in her Red outfit, Belle in her peasant dress, Aurora in her peasant outfit?
  23. Exterior looks great but as others have said, I don't see this as a day one for me. Had there been 12+ minifigures I would have reconsidered but with only 7 unique figs to the set, I'll either wait for a sale or buy the figs some other way. *Starting prayer circle for Belle and Beast before this wave is done*
  24. huh....so the GWP is meant to be more like a picture holder?
