  1. I feel like its a secret, only because I don't know why the function of a "dress" change would be included unless there was another dress to swap into. As someone who doubted there was a secret its odd to have it both confirmed to exist and yet there be nothing there.
  2. Slightly off topic, anyone else think the legs in the new Jurassic World set 76975 would work for Nani? Can't tell if the skin tone would match but the side printing would be an improvement over what we got Also, looking at the 360 spin, I don't think the Wardrobe is hiding anything behind it. She butted up against the wall and seems to be built off a plate. The hinge is how she attaches to the wall so she stands upright.
  3. And I just picked up a couple of the old Kakamora as well :/ That's my luck. These new versions look so much better. I was shocked we hadn't seen Maui pop up in any of the Moana 2 sets yet so happy to see him but disappointed he doesn't have an updated mold. He really would have benefited from the newer big fig design ala Thanos and Hulk.
  4. I would unironically LOVE a CMF focused only on Disney Princess or Disney Villains. It would knock out so many variations and characters that are requested but not likely to be seen and leave room for other characters in a regular CMF lineup. Also, never realized but Lego has never made Cinderella in her maid outfit in a minidoll form. Kind of shocked the big part of her story of "rags to riches" hasn't been implemented in the minidoll line yet.
  5. I'll say Beast is both exactly as I expected Lego would make him and yet disappointing all the same. I really miss the side leg printing and I'm bothered by the fact his tail is all brown. It looks odd with the figure and I wish they had painted the hip part black to blend in better. The color scheme of the castle doesn't put me off, though its mainly because Disney has worn me down over the years of using the lavender, maroon color scheme for the castle every time they show it off that I'm just used to the choice (similar to Cinderella having a blue dress instead of her silver dress) As for other figures, I think it depends on if Lego will count the enchanted objects as singular figures or as separate from the minifigure lineup. Belle, Beast, and the 4 main servants in human form would give us 6 and I think that's the best number we would hope for in a set like this. If the objects count, I don't see any more aside from Gaston as a reuse. Personally, I'd love to see Belle in her blue dress and Beast in his cape look included but I could also see those 2 variations being prime picks for a CMF series 4 when it comes to fruition in the future.
  6. Speculation is the new $300 D2C set could be a Beast's Castle set but nothing is confirmed yet
  7. Personally wouldn't mind a $300 Pridelands set with Pride Rock, Elephant Graveyard, small Oasis side build and all the Lion King figures. In case they wanted to do something other than a castle.
  8. Think I'm going to get part 36994 for Lilo. Not perfect, but the bangs are more accurate than what we have here. For Nani, would pick up 85974 for better hair but no clue if there's an alternative. Not many short printing done in that skin tone yet.
  9. David is the only one I'm expecting to get any leg printing for his trunks but probably not dual molded.
  10. Honestly, this was our best shot at getting Cobra Bubbles and David so I'm happy they got the chance. I'll throw out some hope to the universe that we get a Gantu fight set with Jumba, Pleakley, Stitch, Lilo and a brickbuilt Gantu as the final fight for the first movie.
  11. Toy Story celebrates its 30th anniversary in November of next year. The 18+ set could be to honor that or honor the company as its 30 years of films as well.
  12. Do we think Jumba and Pleakley are better suited for a system set or a CMF? I'm thinking with the price point of the Lilo and Stitch house, the budget may not be there for Jumba and Pleakley who would need custom molds for their body types. Do we think Lego would go for better figures of Jumba and Pleakley but less of a build or would it be better to put Jumba and Pleakley in a CMF where they could get an extra mold budget to do them justice?
  13. I'm hoping when Incredibles 3 comes out, we get some legacy sets with it, like an Omnidroid set, a Golden Age set, or an island set with Mirage.
  14. Raya did pop up in the Enchanted Treehouse last year, had a reference in the new Disney Castle, and has popped up in a couple places in the Parks. I think she's sitting at about the same representation as Pocahontas. Not noticeably visible but still part of the group. I'm not saying her inclusion is imminent, but if we see a Raya mini figure pop up I won't be super shocked by it. Merida though has been used a ton in the parks and cruise line and is even a new character in Dreamlight Valley. I wonder if her being excluded has more to do with her being Pixar or having so many Princesses that when it comes time to pick, she's not popular enough to make the final cut on some merch.
  15. Raya being an official Disney Princess ups her odds of showing up in a future CMF. As for Wish...yeah I wouldn't hold my breath they show up. At least not with more popular characters still in the queue for figures.
  16. Depending on your own view, there is also the 3 Ongi from Raya that were molded (#43185), Sisu, she's brick built but there's no way she would ever be a fully molded character (#43184), the Kakamora from Moana (#41150), Star and Valentino from Wish (#43223)
  17. Given how classic sets seem to be on the table for Lego Disney's future, I feel like CMFs would be better suited to showcasing characters that we would not likely see in a set in the future. Example: Ariel in human form and Eric would make sense for a small Kiss the Girl diorama but King Triton doesn't have an obvious scene that translates. It would be better to put King Triton in a CMF and save Ariel and Eric for an actual set then.
  18. Kind of shocked no Maui in the sets. You'd think he would be a selling point. Also really like the foldable island set. Reminds me of old Polly pocket sets. Any thoughts they replace the storybook sets with this type of closable playsets?
  19. A nitpick from me: Why doesn't Lilo's skirt block have printing on the backside as well? Seems like its the same pattern on the front and back of her torso, could have just duplicated the print on both sides. Seems lazy. On the other hand, Belle getting back printing on her skirt when none of the other Princesses from the CMF or castle got any is wild. Wonder why Belle got it but Cinderella or Tiana weren't considered.
  20. I'll be honest, I'll be buying it for the figures only. I don't expect I'll even build the actual set. I agree, Mickey's face doesn't look great but I appreciate that they chose to give us new figures as opposed to repeated ones. Also decided to get a Beast minidoll head and make a custom Beast with what I had on hand until we can get a true one from Lego. Didn't want Belle to get here without a Beast.
  21. To be fair, I think Beauty and the Beast has an easier roster to complete. Belle in blue dress, Beast in ballroom outfit, Beast in cape, Maurice, Lefou, (Beast in human form if the ballroom version isn't able to switch) The Madrigal Family only has 1/12 so far. While not every family member is popular, it begs to question of who makes the cut or not. Mirabel, Luisa, Isabella, and Abuela come to mind as ones we definately need but Antonio, Dolores, Peppa, and Camillo are fan favorites in their won rights as well.
  22. I definitely feel like they would need to add something more to the build to at least make it more clear its a Pixar set. Take away the iconic ball, and its just a desk lamp similar to the Polaroid camera, radio, or Phone booth. Even the Disney 100 camera had the film strip of past Disney films and a small animation desk inside the camera with a Mickey Mouse sketch to denote its ties to Disney. Minifigures would help but I'm wondering what else could be done to it to make it clear it is a Pixar set outside of the ball.
  23. Agree. I'd love to see them "complete the story" so to speak with some of the Disney films they've already represented with minifigures before moving onto variants/new IPs. Crazy to think Snow White is pretty much totally covered outside of the Huntsman.
  24. Now you have me wishing for a Lady Tremaine or Mother Gothel. Looking at it, its odd there is not Silver era representation. For one of the more iconic eras, its missing representation in the set.
  25. Has an Ideas submission ever deviated this far in terms of minifigure selection? Happy to eat my hat though with all of these new figures. Bruno and Simba are probably my biggest shocks.
