Namely the torso. Sparkles where there are none (but that's an issue with Snow White as well) The ribbon on her corset is gold rather than pink, and the lace/frills on her corset are gold instead of white and pink as in the film. Similarly, gold printing on the trim of her skirt where it would be pink/purple. We could also bring up her hair being shorter than Jasmine's but I think that a fancy new mold price I don't have the budgetary access to fully comment on.

Turns out Sally's old hair piece mold doesn't exist anymore so they had to pick one that looked close enough, hence the Dumbledore hairpiece used. Same goes for Jack's bow tie thought they've done a good job of replicating it. No word on Oogie Boogie's potential though.

It is, but some do start to celebrate it on October 31st so there is a slight overlap with Halloween depending on if you start celebrating the night before or only on the day of November 1.

Looking forward to the Brick Fanatics interview with the designers. I'm genuinely curious to see the process behind some of the choices and if Oogie Boogie was ever on the board to begin with.

I think it might be a giant thin plastic, closer to a piece of cloth or sail, disc held on by some ball joint connector pins in the back of the hill. Easy to take off if you don't want the moon but easy to attach with limited connections.

Which feels bad when you consider how little the Peter Pan diorama had going for it. A so-so build with 2 repeated minifigures (Peter being a downgrade from his CMF version) and an $60 price tag. Wendy was the only real draw but lacked a bow or a better face print. All the other ideas would hold far more appeal given they would include new characters or IPs that had yet to be Legofied.

The fact Sandy Claws but not Dr. Finkelstein is an odd pick and odd how The Mayor was an added figure without Oogie. I'm hoping they are saving him for a CMF and not a gift with purchase instead.

Not gonna lie, the Italian Riviera Ideas set has me wishing Luca and Alberto end up in a future CMF to add to it.

I mean it says a lot that Lego limits CMFs to 12 figures in 2021 and The Looney Tunes, Muppets, and both Marvel CMFs abide the rules and Disney gets to break it with 18. Lego must know there's a demand or Disney was more pushy with this IP than the Marvel and Muppets ones.

Lego really just needs to do a yearly Disney CMF and it would answer pretty much all of the needs of the minifigure gang without stepping on the ongoing minidoll line.

What if we only get a Lilo and Stitch figure with the set? Would explain the lower price point if there are less figures and could open up more bricks for the build.

I'm excited and somewhat curious if this is meant to coincide with the Live Action remake. We had the clamshell for Little Mermaid, the Dwarf's Cottage which would have been releasing alongside Snow White, late 2025 could line up with Lilo and Stitch. As long as its the original animated, this is day 1 for me. Lilo has been missing since 2016 and needs to be on the shelf next to Stitch.

Maybe ever. I would hope they go all out on it. I don't see any potential for future NBC sets unlike, say Winnie the Pooh, with a lot of locations and some iconic characters missing. I fear any Christmas Town would be too similar to Lego's own Winter Village sets to be deemed worthwhile by Lego and a Hinterlands set with just trees and Jack wouldn't hold a lot of appeal for anyone but the most diehard (or a cheaper way to get Jack and Zero).

Genuinely shocked no train set or larger Shiz set given how prominent it will be in the first film. I'm expecting the buildable figures will come with regular minidolls of Glinda in her pink bubble dress and Elphaba in her wicked witch outfit as I don't see where else those would be in this lineup.

I would definitely go for the Cedric head over Venkman. Might also want to look at the Paul Atredies head which gives a bit more neutral grimmace as an alternative. I know the eyebrows are black, but Philip's eyebrows are a bit darker than his hair in the film. Also interested to know what you'll be using for a torso.

Given the likelihood the set was voted for specifically because it was the only one with minifigures, I doubt they would just cut all of them. Worst case scenario is all the figures are repeats, best case scenario is new prints/variants for the figures and potentially even more added to the roster. It would be nice to get a Beast to go with Belle for example and they already have the Beast head mold created.

The Master Sword looks sick. Also looks like the blade is translucent

Wonder what the cancelled playset this set is taking the place of. The interview says the changed from display to playset was last minute, I wonder what that means in the world of Lego manufacturing.

I'm hoping for a Thunderjaw set but I could see some smaller sets for Ravagers or Sawtooths (Sawteeth??)

*sound of hope cracking* I guess we haven't heard anything about the buildable Donald Duck either so that's 2 sets from the survey not manifesting (or 1 was reworked into a minidoll set) Would genuinely love to see what the results of the survey were; must not have been very promising results for the minifigure Dragon set.

New set photos out. The dragon does look nice although I feel like LEGO at this point should invest in a new color for those ball joints instead of just the grey. They use them so often that a black, light nouget, or brown might have given them some return on investment by now.

I wonder if the sales numbers of the clamshell and Disney Castle are a contributing factor as well. I can see Lego looking at the two biggest Disney Princess centric sets last year not doing well as a sign that Disney Princess only sells if they are minidolls and chose to swap an Aurora and Philip minifigure for minidolls as a result. Snow White might have been too far into production (with the new Dwarf beard molds) to change but I haven't looked into the cottage sales to know if its enough to make Lego second guess themselves.

I meant more that there was rumor it would be based on the Lego Disney Princess special aired on Disney Plus. Dragon Maleficent shows up with Gaston and fighting Tiana and Ariel so it was unsure if it would be off of Sleeping Beauty or the Special.
