As long as Arthur or De'kra have over 20 health when it overloads, we should be okay.
-
IC: De'kra watches as the machine ignites, before gripping Chiara into his hands. With a twirl he readies the electric blade, though he remains in the back row.
-
OOC: Its okay, Thalion should have my dirt bomb and Barur should have my ice bomb by the way. IC: De'kra shudders at Arthur's suggestion, and instead opts to use Kapura, though he still attacks from the back row.
-
OOC: I'll drink it anyway. IC: De'kra was silent in the back row as he absorbed the potion, his mind drifting to the discudssions he had with Arthur previously.
-
IC: De'kra absorbs another potion in the back row, hoping to join his comrades soon.
-
IC: De'kra retreated to the back row, and began to absorb another potion. "I..not worry about I," he managed between bouts of pain, "focus on foe. I will heal myself."
-
IC: De'kra clicked shakily, "I...I think you will need to find new user for explosive hand canon. I think I first impression of it was right. It...I should not feel this way now. I should always have been feel this. I...I not think I will to be Assassin any more. I...how many people have I kill and push it...I-I-I I will attack Sentinel from Back Row. I will...I will use explosive hand cannon for last time. I...why you apologize? Neither of you did anything wrong. I...I land blow." The mysterious male voice replies sadly. "Worse and better things are to come." OOC: Prior to Quest 4, De'kra and some heroes debated about hand cannons. But if you want to know how it went, you'll have to trudge through hundreds of pages! Muh-ha-ha-ha!
-
IC: De'kra clicks shakily, "I...I will drink potion so others can focus on battle. I...why only now? Why, this should not be different? Only madman think it different. How...How?" The echo clutched his head in the back row, even as he jabbed his hand inside his potion container, letting the fluid absorb into his hand. As the echo reacts as though the world has vanished, a voice states slowly. "I'm sorry." OOC: He should be totally audiable.
-
IC: As De'kra repeated his last actions he whispered, "I-I...I though it would be-I thought it would be gentle. I...I not sure I want to enact this any more."
-
IC: De'kra flinches as his blast tears a great hole into Jules. The echo just stares at the body as it falls, not sure how to react. Gradually he he pulls himself away from the sight of the wizard with a hole in his neck, and shakily changes targets to the Sentinel. The echo shakily aims his Explodive Cannon, though his spare hand coils around Kapura. Carefully he prepared to fire, though he pushes farther away in the back row. He...he didn't want to stand so close when this foe fell.

IC: De'kra clicked, "But this technology is not that of mind, it has no mental power over people. If you mean power will corrupt them, are there not millions of magic users in this world who have great power but are not evil by it? And I would think magic more corruptive, if you have innate powers others lack, you may feel superior. And hubris makes corruption. But and technology, it is poewer that is earn. You seem to forget something. Pretty much everywhere in Olegaia there are monsters, by which I mean people. How you know this technology won't be worse where you are head? Would it not be better to keep it close to people who made it, just in case things go wrong?"
-
IC: De'kra focuses his Explosive Cannon onto Jules, remaining relatively safe in the back row. "I understand your concern Jules," De'kra clicked, "technology can be abuse. Right now two people are use it to attack their captain. But at same time, technology is just tool. I can not hate sword for what its wielder enact, could you? Because that is what this automaton is-mechanical sword. And while I am not verse in Ether, I would imagine it can be worse. Take for instance Lady Wren, and single duplicate she turn small rebellion into massive civil war. It not Machetes fault if their master use them to kill rather than cut grass." "But I agree this might not be good to have in Eubric," he admitted, "It not stable place. Perhaps we could talk about it without maime anyone?" OOC: Every have one of those moments where you have no idea who you are as a person, beyond maybe four adjectives?

I'm curious about something. As some of you may know, I became a lot less active during Quest 44, because of technical issues. Now that I have become more active again, I am left wondering if my writing is still as good as it was before Quest 44, or if the time away had weakened my style. Any thoughts?
-
IC: De'kra nodded as he clicked wearily, "I knew we would end up fight automaton. Nuparu, are you say you want I to fight Jules, or Sentinel? If you mean Jules, I will attack him and Explosive Cannon. If you mean Sentinel, I will use Chiara. Either way I will stay in Back Row as you suggest." As the echo readies for battle, he looks over the mechanical entity, probing at it carefully.
-
IC: De'kra nods in agreement, though his mind is elsewhere. Despite his distraction he gets to work searching the cargo.
-
IC: De'kra's eyes flashed briefly to a bright green as he clicked, "No, but I know of green mist. That sound like real form of Makuta. When they want to possess bodies, they leave their armor behind, and as mist they flow into people. They can farm this mass to create slug-like beasts call...Kraata. Which I...can...spawn..." De'kra glanced down at his hands, and with a shudder he continued, "Um...We probably should not talk about this for now. Important thing is these Kraata can infect minds of I people, make them evil. Likewise each one has special power, like poison or adaptability. And mist, which is call Antidermis, can be absorb into people to make them vulnerable to mind control. At least that what it did on I people, but we are bio-mechanical synthetic forms of life and you...aren't. I...I will try to track him down now."
-
IC: De'kra nodded and proceeded to give long overdue exposition. "Remember Makuta I spoke of?" he began, "Before they came conquerors, they were a race of crafters and protectors, intend to guard we and make creatures to aid we. When they turn to evil, they did not forget those skills. One of Makuta used his knowledge f craft bio-mechanical life in order to make...evil." "They were call...Visorak," he continued after a pause, "It mean "Stealers of Life," roughly. They were powerful...spiders, size of we mighty heroes. Each of them had powerful abilities and ways to hunt people, like mimicry of voices. But their main power was...it was horrible. They cocoon people and creatures, inncase them in sicky webs. As the captives lay in coma, Visorak...thrust their venomous spikes into them. Venom burns through body, twist and corrupt it. Limbs grow gangly and sharp, faces merge and helmets into freakish forms, hands become claws and powers Grench out of control. Worst of all, mind reverts to savagery. Infected can not think much beyond kill and eat, friendships dissolve, memories grow faint. And it get worst longer infect. We call them Hordika, "Half-Beasts." "Visorak swarm over I world," he all but whispered, "[/i]They infect civilizations, drive races to extinction. They...I not like spiders, especially four legged ones.[/i]"

Well De'kra is eleven, though his birthday is coming up. Well it isn't Heroica based so I can't put it here, I just was excited and needed to declare my relief somewhere. But after my sister has reviewed it, I might put it up somewhere. It's fine, he won't accept the bombs anyway.
-
IC: De'kra nodded in thanks to Arthur, before slipping his dirt bomb to Thalion and his ice bomb to Barur. That done he collapsed against the wall, still freaked out by the arachnids.
-
With not much else to do, De'kra clicks, "I will repeat I attack, unless you have better idea." He takes aim with the explosive hand cannon again, hoping to score a hit this time.
-
OOC: I finished it! After 78 long days and nights, I finished my fan fiction. 66095 words, 199 pages, all making up fifty chapters an epilogue and a prologue. Finally finished. And best of all, I don't hate it even after I finished it! It still meets my standards! So she said what's the problem baby? What's the problem I don't know-well maybe I'll in love. Love. Think about it every time I think about it-can't stop thinking bout it... IC: De'kra suddenly spots a large, vibrantly red spider emerge from the barrel. With a firm but scared nod, he targets the Bright Widow with his Explosive Hand Cannon, though he is careful not to leave the back row. As he aims at the beast he clicks, "It best if you put me ahead in battle order, so that if widoew dies, I not target barrel."
-
IC: De'kra hangs back, unless Arthur has a better plan. From the sound of it though De'kra would be much better off not attacking the barrel of piers. To the others he clicks, "Since I not able to attack safely at this time, I will wait to see if anyone needs heal, since I have army of potions."
-
IC: De'kra winces as Thalion and Barur take serious hits, at least for their health level. If they got hurt much more, they would fall, But at least from what he could tell, they still stared defying the beasts. He hand to keep them alive. His courage reinforced for now, he fired his Explosive Hand Cannon onto the baby Tomb Widow from the back row.
-
IC: De'kra nods at Arthur cautiously, before stepping to the back row and switching to the Cloak of Deception. Hopefully its power would aid him now.
-
OOC: Yeah logically, but I know I have used my cloak right before a battle began, but then switched cloaks first round. It was all the way back in Quest 4, but it was the finale battle. Still, if thats so its so. IC: De'kra tried not to look at the disturbing arthropods, even as he readied to fire.
