  1. Agreed on Jack. The brighter colors make him look clean, which he is not. It looks like the hat/hair is a new mold, as the locks of hair don’t seem to exactly match the old one. I am curious why he has the hat if he doesn’t have his coat, though, and also as to whose head that is. Elizabeth and Gibbs look nice, even if the reused Leia face isn’t ideal. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/411797959658670161/ ^^This image makes Jack’s pants look sand blue, though there are others that make them look brown or dark grey. Agreed on Gibbs, hopefully he has an alternate face.
  2. I do agree with this, but I still find it baffling that we got sets for 2025 and not 2026 when the only difference is that between them, we would have actual DC content for 2026. Hopefully the summer wave will be better (assuming there’s nothing in the spring).
  3. I’m hoping that with the positive reaction to Superman and perceived excitement for Supergirl, since the latter is a year away, LEGO will try to get some sets in around next year. A Clayface minifigure has long been wanted, and he’ll be getting his own movie next year, too. Aside from that fact that it’ll be a horror movie, this would be the perfect chance to finally get him, at least as a comic set tie-in.
  4. MiniSuperHeroesToday did a YouTube review of 76324: Spider-Man vs Oscorp (love that name), and the flame on the top of the pumpkin bomb head is now removable! I hope the same is done with Ghost Rider.
  5. We wanted more X-Men, so we’re getting… Venomized Wolverine! That’s apparently more that DC’s getting, so… yay? I am very happy about the cheaper prices. Even if the builds themselves are mostly mechs, it’s still better than having no cheap sets, and it’s a good way to get these characters. I’ll be interested in seeing what they do for 2099.
  6. Brick-built Krypto, House of El logo, and Lex Luthor bust sets incoming, all overpriced and with no minifigures/animals. JK (I hope).
  7. The guy whose initials are literally DC is asking LEGO for sets. It’s too good. I hope they listen.
  8. I am very excited for the Lightning McQueen Speed Champions set. It’ll be interesting to see how they make him at the 8-wide scale. I would assume that this set would be the first Speed Champions set (not counting polybags) without a minifigure. I’m not sure it makes sense to include one (as cool as that would be).
  9. Robin looks good, if not a bit more joyful than I usually take Damian to be. I’m glad we’re finally getting that hair in green for Joker, though I agree with the sentiment about his head. Making it double-sided with another expression would be nice, but hopefully the budget went into the other minifigures (and the build). Also, no Mad Hatter in Arkham, but useful pieces for a purist custom will be available in the Wicked bookends with the new Jeff Goldblum minifigure, so there’s that.
  10. I might have gotten the set if Jaxxon was included. He and Darth Squidward would’ve been great to have together. Alas, we may just have to wait for the Star Wars Glup Shitto CMF. Funny, I actually like the face. Sure, the proportions are off, but it captured the same uncanny/creepy factor that I got from certain shots of the face in the movie. It’s still not a set I’ll get, though. I do question why they made his legs so that he looks like he has to use the restroom, and why they printed dark brown on the minifigure when the rest of it, and the build itself, is reddish brown.
  11. He does give those vibes! Hopefully his role in the show will be something similar, that would be cool. Speaking of, I finished Trials of the Jedi last week, and my desire for LEGO High Republic representation has massively increased. Agreed about the downsizing. The Juggernaut especially is way too downsized, especially for the price. The MTT’s downsizing doesn’t look as bad to me, but the available troop space is very poor for a troop carrier, and the shapes on the sides of the back look too thin. The $50 Slave 1 looks like a good $50 Slave 1, too bad it’s $70. Lama Su is great, though.
  12. I stand corrected. Thank you. That’ll teach me to rely on memory when I have access to a certain information super highway. If he didn’t have a jumpsuit, he could always be just visiting or trying to break out the rest of his team with Catwoman. Alas, that’s not the case, and like you said, he was an inmate in TLBM. Maybe it’s just meta-LEGO logic in that they haven’t made Blackgate, so where else would he go?
  13. They did this with the TLBM Arkham as well. Granted, none of the included inmates had body types like Bane or Croc, but there is a precedent, however unfortunate that may be. I wonder how well the new jumpsuit designs will match previous ones.
  14. Bricktap has provided new information! The current rumor is the Pearl being ~$330 USD, 2800 pieces, releasing September 12th, and the updated minifigure roster is: Captain Jack Sparrow Elizabeth Swan Will Turner Joshamee Gibbs Annamaria Marty Cotton Barbossa Pintel I’m so happy about the reduced price and the inclusions of Barbossa and Pintel. However, if Pintel is in it, I feel like Ragetti has to be included, as well. One without the other doesn’t track, so hopefully him being missing is an oversight.
  15. We will not stand for this Jarro erasure! But I agree. Batwing before Spoiler and Orphan especially is weird. I’m glad the set has more than ten minifigures, though no new villains is a disappointment, especially if they’re using jumpsuits. I can appreciate that most of the villains included have not been available for years, so for someone who got into LEGO in the past few years, this will be most welcome, but still, one new villain couldn’t have hurt. Now let’s see how good the build is. Hopefully this leads to a wave of at least Batman sets with these villains, which will then hopefully lead to more. We need a DC Rebirth™.
  16. Someone called it a Funko Toothless, and I think they hit the nail on the head with that. Not was I was hoping for, so I’ll save money, unfortunately. The One Piece sets leaked, and in the Baratie, the biggest one, one of the minifigures has a mustache that is literally perfect for Gobber.
  17. Yeah, it very much looks like the 2021 set. I do like the addition of the seismic charge, though, and Lama Su is great. Predictable, but it does look like Jango is lacking arm printing. I wonder what the cart/stand will look like. Hopefully that’s not a repeat, too. For the stud shooters, it looks like they just moved them down to replace the bottom turrets.
  18. See, that’s too common nowadays. What should be used is a head that is more unique among today’s mass-used heads, one that displays the effort and determination put into place in order to stretch: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626pb0817&idColor=90#T=C&C=90
  19. The sets are overpriced, but they look good, and they offer a good amount of variety, so I am very happy about that. I love that we’re actually getting city sets, those are long overdue. However, the interiors for the Oscorp set are too sparse, especially compared to Peter’s apartment. It is amusing that the set is “Spider-Man vs. Oscorp.” From fighting the Wall to fighting a whole building, Peter’s got his work cut out for him. The minifigures are good, too. Eddie’s a nice surprise, though I’m once again lamenting the removal of the dual-molded legs which the Spider-Folk have used in the past yet are denied now. Why, LEGO? Also, it would have been nice for Norman to more closely match his poster in the Bugle, but getting him is a plus. The Hammer drones are oversized, but as builds, I think they’re okay, if not for the stumpy arms. The 4+ set gives us a new Cap, which is nice, and the Endgame battle actually feels more like a battle. Glad to have more enemy forces as opposed to six heroes vs one Chitari. I do like the mini portal in there, no doubt so Babu Frik can pop in and say “Hey Heyyyyyy!!!!” The train is really good, and I like Ock’s new arms. Aunt May and JJJ are nice inclusions. The Quinjet’s shaping is really well done, and the new Quicksilver and Reddington minifigures are very nice. I know Vision is technically available in the Avengers Tower, so hopefully we’ll get a new AoU Wanda to round out the main cast. Overall, this wave combined with the Spider-Verse deli (and potential CMF) and FF set make up a pretty good year for Marvel.
  20. The Batmobile looks good for what it’s supposed to represent, but the set itself is disappointing. Hopefully Arkham will be this year’s skyline: a great set in a disappointing year. I am interested to see the recolored cowl used on the BvS armored minifigure.
  21. Ditto. Or should I say Watto, because he’d fit perfectly with this theme. He’d need a new mold, though, which I’m not sure has been done in an AC before Babu, has it? For the calendar itself, I mostly like it for the characters. Babu Frik is, of course, the main draw (happy to finally be filling in some of the TRoS gaps this year), the snow BB is cool, and as someone who didn’t get them in previous sets, red-eyed 3PO, R7, and the BD unit are nice, too. The builds, however, are weaker than normal for me. I’m not a huge fan of the weapons rack type build for ACs, and this one has a lot of them. The buildable B-1 was something I was actually looking forward to, but with the price increase in the US, it has largely fallen out of consideration for me. Having seen it now, while the snout(?) is a tad disappointing, overall, I think it looks good. If it was half the (original) price and just the B-1, I probably would’ve gotten it.
  22. Hopefully we’ll see the Fantastic Four set soon. It’s weird how they stagger the reveals of sets coming the same month. Neither the FF set or the Iron Man bust are exclusives, are they? I also find it odd that we haven’t gotten confirmed details for the Quinjet. It’s supposed to have 1,131 pieces, so I would have guessed it would be around $130, but with the 808-pieced Oscorp taking that price, who knows?
  23. I also place my vote for more molded creatures. However, as @Virginia_Bricks alluded to, the prices would not be good. Look at the upcoming Jurassic set with 199 pieces for $50. Maybe they’re saving a molded Bantha for an upcoming $65 Luke’s Landspeeder. ANH’s 50th anniversary is in only two years.
  24. Jaxxon! Hopefully we’ll get him sometime soon. It hasn’t been five years since the Looney Tunes CMF, so hopefully the Bugs head mold is primed and ready. Also, there’s a TK Trooper in the trailer for the Maul show! Time to increase my hope for getting a minifigure a totally appropriate amount.
  25. The budget should be good enough for him to get a new head print, even things like Andor or Skeleton Crew that only get one set get new pieces, and those aren’t movies. After all, the head of an average Joe won’t work, he’s literally me.
