    "No. No way out, while Vorpalis is still alive. Vorpalis keeps security tight, and has taken care to whip the eixsting guardsmen into shape. Doubled the archer towers, raised the walls by two feet, scraped away or filled any footholds. Moon elves aren't even allowed out that aren't vetted by either Vorpalis or Aeolus. The dragons into corporeal punishment, you know - one "idiot" guard let in someone he shouldn't recieved thirty lashes publicly." "How did you know we were... Listen, we had to evacuate them. Aeolus came snooping. They're currently in the Gibbous Inn, the basement of it, anyway. It's safe there, really safe. We should go there. There must be more of you, right? You... Because two against one versus Vorpalis won't work. During executions people have tried to attack him, and he wins every time." N-no offense to the ogre, of course. If youre strong enough to break down our door like that, I bet you can give the dragon a good whack."

    "Jinnipher, it's..." Rydel shakes his head. "It's not important. Not right now, anyway." "Jinnipher, sweetheart... What made you come home? You... You didn't hear about Vorpalis, and come to stop him, did you?"

    "I was an altar boy - nearly a priest - in my youth. I know the procedure, but thank you." I step into the confessional alone.

    "Thank you, Carlos. I have no need to disturb the high priestess. I just wish for a bit of privacy in the confessional."

    "Hmm, I can't imagine a church closing its doors... Especially a Helvetian temple in a Necropolis." I knock.

    "I'm quite eager to see what's in the temple as well." I try to enter the Temple of Helvetia.

    No response. It only takes one hefty swing for Skrall to bring the door down.... There was a moon elf couple in the back. They were more surprised than scared, and the man was more belligerent than one would expect as victims for a home invasion. "Listen, you big oaf -" "Rydel, you don't have to be so -" "Eloen, let me handle this. Take whatever you like, if you're just thieves, and don't you dare lay a finger on my wife. But if you're working for Aeolus, then-" Rydel catches a glimpse of "Melody" from behind the hammer wielding ogre. It seemed not even a changed hairstyle could stop the parents from recognizing their child. "...Jinnipher?" "Sweetheart, is that really... you?"

    Jinnipher can hear someone coming to the door, but pausing before they open, as if they knew that someone might be coming for them... Presumably, they were standing silently on the other end of the door.

    What would've happend if the Titan hadn't been taken out last? "This colossal rock monster stood perfectly still til' the battle ended, then it face planted and killed someone's fiance."

    The two bounty hunters leave Aeolus's office and make their way to the address given - an address Jinnipher knew all too well. In the interim, the pass by a gathering of sort... A woman with a smile perhaps too large holding an aged text speaks to the small crowd. "This is an aged text from this city's very own archive! I will read it to you: "At the dawn of time, the young dragon was approached by Great Ones, and the dragonling wished to have the strength needed to make things right. The Great Ones capitulated, and the dragonling was granted an immense power. The dragon grew, and he eventually descended upon Mercution, offering a people a great service that would last many a millennia." Don't you see? Before Faust recklessly banished Vorpalis, he was a great help to our people for ages! This text has been in our archive for so long, but only now do we realize the significance! Don't you see? Vorpalis should've been ruler since the beginning!" The party continues on as the grinning woman continues her "sermon." Eventually, they reach 36 Maria Street... Home of Rydel and Eleon Buchaire. What would the party do?

    "I'm fine with that." I rifle through my pouch, and pull out 200 gold for the Last Wishpowder. <My friend will cover the rest, I believe.>

    <I'm assuming you're not willing to haggle on the price of the Last Wish Powder, Snoops.> I say, more of a weak statement than a question towards the ghost. <...How are you holding physical items, anyway? You're a ghost.>

    "Are you quite alright, Melody?" says Aeolus, more stern than actually compassionate or caring. He softens, however... "Sorry. I'm stuck in business mode right now. We're nearly done, Melody... Tonight, Faust and the last of his supporters will die. And then we'll have some alone time."Jinnipher gets the bad feeling that Melody and Aeolus had a relationship more than the dead elf let on... "Now, I need those two back within the next hour or so. Understood?"

    "Good. Now then..." Aeolus shifts through some paperwork, and then reads off a piece of parchment. "Direct from Vorpalis himself. Rydel and Eloen Buchaire. 36 Maria Street, in the high rise district." Reaching from under his desk, Aeolus throws a bundle of rope at Melody and Bulk. "They're in the high rises. We have suspicions they've been sheltering people in their house, and are supporters of Faust. This'll be an easy one. Hammer down the door, literally if you have to, incapacitate them, tie them up, and bring them back here."

    "Open the gate, men." The front gate swings open, and the pair enters Mermont. The fog here was almost unbearably thick, presumably because Vorpalis's presence here. The street was littered with people going as business as usual, for the most part, but some were going out of their way to remove traces of Faust from the city... Tearing down statues, replacing banners with those proclaiming Vorpalis as the leader... The city was dreary, and Faust was being wiped away, but it seemed like the people were doing it of their own volition. Jinnipher recalls the way to the guard HQ from her days of living in the city, and the two make their way through the fog. At first, phantasmal visions flicker through their minds because of the fog, but their brains quickly adjust to the airborne sickness, and rendezvous with their "boss", Aeolus. "Good. You're here - glad to see you managed to take down another bounty. Reward money will have to wait until Vorpalis gets back, as usual, but you know he's reliable. Hasn't failed on the last four bounties you took. Here's some payment in advance, though..." Aeolus hands the duo fifty gold. "Now, I have another job for you. Come with me." The stern, helmeted man leads the duo to his office. "We are on the brink of something great, you two. Are you ready for your next bounty?"

    "By our estimate, there's only a couple dozen more ardent supporters, the ones willing to fight. The rest will see the error of Faust's ways after the execution. Vorpalis has something special planned. Most loyalists left are just in denial. When Faust confesses, it's all over."

    "Just shaking out anyone who believes in Faust. We've been deporting like crazy."

    Nope, those are essentially the main story. If you want to binge, go into the index, pick a QM you like, go down the list, and read their quests. 66 and 100 are great starting points, though.

    The guard seemed a little surprised by "Melody's" new demanor - pleasntly surprised "You're awful lively today." says the guard, noticing her hip-swinging gait. "Uh, Vorpalis is still out of country. If Faust really is in Eubric, though, he'll be back soon, and we should be able to put an end to most of this tonight with his execution. They'll still be loyalists to route out, but I imagine many will finally stand down with their king dead. Aeolus has a new bounty for you, apparently. Told me to tell you to report to his office."

    QM Note: I'm not that mean. Skelekarie and co, expect a PM shortly. "Melody" and "Bulk" Disguised as the slain bounty hunters, Skrall and Jinnipher approach the front gates of Mermont. Only two men were in front of the door itself, but archer towers were positioned above the wall... "Melody, Bulk! Knocked off that last bounty you got, huh?"
