Pretty much. That, and if a PC goes through the trouble of writing out what their character is thinking, I figure they want someone to react to it in some form.

I assumed Lind was looking at Gabriel, and Gabriel could tell Lind was judging him/read his face. I figured he'd have an idea or two about what Lind could be holding against him (Pretzel's mention of time crunch + he said something that made him look bad.) I just wrote it at Gabriel being observant, but if you would rather not, I'll edit it out."
-
Garson shrugs in response to that question. Gabriel, meanwhile, seems to be cracking a smile. "What? Have you known me to be anything but professional, Lind? We've been walking for about two hours now, and we have been talking to this Garson guy for only a minute or two. Rest your legs. The incline is gonna get a lot worse real quick, so I don't want any of you going into it with a leg cramp. And if its my former routine you have issue with, well... Should've said something in Cenauri."
-
"I'm an alchemist. Just getting some herbs." "I suppose. My limbs are still a little bit fiery..." Garson removes one of his gloves as he treats Calamity, showing a mostly normal hand - except that it was engulfed in the blue flicker of a flame. Toasty. "But everything else is just about normal." Gabriel simply shrugs, and takes another drag of the cigar. "My nightly routine, up until a few months ago, was drinking enough to get three men drunk, having sex with a prostitute or two, and then snorting Pixie Dust. I consider this an improvement." "If it rains, or just like, a cup of water? Steam. If I was to stay in the ocean, well... After a while, it would start to hurt. That's a bit difficult to evaporate."

Affirmative. I furrow my brow. "If that was Amber... Apparently she was posing as a decamon rep. Any of you guys meet anyone decamon related? Players, champions, other representatives, anything?" -
143, the quest in which we establish fire is hot.
-
Before her hand even reaches the outermost layer of the flame, Calamity is forced to pull her hand back, burnt quite well. The man was even hotter than he looked - surprising, considering he was apparently a living fireball. "Oh! Sorry, miss, I was busy speaking, and... Well, that felt just a bit tingly for me, but probably wasn't too good for you. Here." Garson reaches into his cloak. Calamity notices that he's holding onto many chemicals, vials, and creams - moreso than most of the heroes here. Garson grabs Calamity by the wrist and begins treating the burnHe takes out a vial of shimmering water and pours it on the wound, before beginning to apply some sort of gel. "You know how the center of a candle's flame burns blue, because its the hottest? That's my entire head. Best be careful." "Yes. We are. But we might as well let this guy treat the burn for a couple of minutes before we proceed. We have twenty four hours, at least.. In the meantime... Garson, got a light?" Gabriel removes a packet of cigars from his pockets. "What do you think? Just don't make the same mistake your friend did, please and thank you." Gabriel lights his cigar by brushing it against the corona of Garson's head, and goes to lean on a nearby tree. He takes drags of it, puffing out smoke, staring at the scene with a stony look in his eyes.

Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live

"Hmm, Vindsval encountered a girl outside the temple that is missing either the dog or the teddy bear, I wager. Unless we have other leads, shall we go make another person's day? That woman with a strange shadow, though... That sounds... sinister." -
"Oh, no, I've been stuck with her for life, heh. I'm just out an errand, and I figured I'd bring the picture along... Gotta keep family close, right?" "Most people know their siblings. I'm an outlier." "Ah, you're missing someone, Mr....?" "...Gabriel. And no, not anymore." "Ah. That's nice." "You never seen a Kelvos before, sir? Hah. Can't really blame you. We're not the most common humanoids out there."
-
"Sister."
-
"You could say that. This isn't reading material, though." Garson raises the paper over his shoulder, not even breaking his stride. The parchment showed a picture of a similar flame-humanoid, but the depicted person had a pinkish-range flame instead of blue. Apparently the being's natural glare interfered with the AIUPPUP's contrast, as the photo had a bad glare and faded colors.
-
"I'd appreciate it if you left that conflict at the hall." "Some are beyond reason." Gabriel nods, and heads to his room. He comes back, dressed in armor and tactical equipment from head to toe, helmet in one hand, and a large handcannon in the other. "Let's. We have one day until Masson's birthday. Not much time to spare." With that, the party shows themselves out of the Albatross, and beings their trek through the Eubric Mountains. The air is crisp and the soil rocky, steadily making their way up a slight incline. Lush trees and fallen boulders dot the landscape as the party continue on their trail. Eventually, they encounter someone who resembled a man... His head was nothing but a brightly burning flame. He was holding a piece of parchment. He hears the sounds of footsteps behind him, and turns around, revealing how featureless he truly was. "Morning, travelers. The name's Garson."

I didn't even have to use words to get my title. I just had to format stuff like an idiot.

"When they killed the lord of all the demons, his entire horde completed evaporated, so its doubtful. Calamity, Jinnipher, you ready to head out?"

"The saloon owner mentioned someone with a strange-acting shadow. Sound familiar?" -
"I'll take him to a priest and have him exorcised later, if I feel up to it." Gabriel says with a dismissive glance. "Yeah. The kid, too."
-
"Your guess is as good as mine, really. He's been raising his kid and doting on his wife for the past year, so I'd be suprirsed if he was possessed still - he doesn't act it."

"Althior, Throlar... Well, to be absolutely blunt, you guys look like shit.If you guys need to sleep, don't be afraid to. You learn anything about what we need to do to find Amber, or rack up any more reputation for us?" -
Gabriel shakes Lind's hand, but regards his "captain Gabriel" remark with some disdain. "Hello, Lind." "There are two craftsmen in the Eubric Mountains - a husband and wife duo - who are very good at what they do. One is an alchemist, the other is a blackmsith. I figured we'd visit their cottage, and see what needs to be done from there. It'll be a bit of a hike." Gabriel's face mimics Jinnipher's. "Sorry. Can't solve all the world's dictator problems in two quests. Be nice if we could though, huh? Any more questions, or shall we get going?"
-
QM Note: Yes, unless Palathadric states otherwise. And don't worry, there's still a bunch left to learn

"From what I understand, it wasn't the demons that did it. He refuses to tell me who did, though. The demons did... Tamper with him, though. I think hes still screwed up from that. Whether or not that's the cause of the phantom pain, well, I don't know."
-
Gabriel shrugs. "Not trying to be dramatic. I'm just terse, I guess. I hadn't seen my brother in twenty-four years - last time I saw him, he was an infant. Well, I met him a couple months back, and I noticed he was short an arm. It got chopped off when he went on a mission to stop a horde of demons. Needless to say, it wasn't a fun time for him... That, and the phantom pain was bad. Phantom pain is only supposed to last six months, tops - it's been almost a year now and its getting worse and worse for him. I don't think he likes to talk about it... I started to catch on when he would start wincing from nothing at all. I kind of suspect I was the only one he told about it. He's kind of secretive like that. So, I figured I'd make up for lost time and find him a cure for it."
-
"Yes. I do have something specific in mind. Namely, a cure. What's a sniper? You take a long range handcannon and kill people with it. That's basically my job description, although sometimes my clients don't neccasarily want me to kill the atrget itself with the handcannon."
-
"I do other work. Sniper first, piano player second." "Heh. For here, yes. I'd like to just sit here and drink all day, but we have a strange gift to find."
-
A group of four heroes leave the confines of the Hall and walk through Eubric, the brisk morning air cutting through the streets. Navigating through clusters of Eubric's bustling citizens, the heroes eventually reach the Albatross Inn. They open the front door and step into the foyer. A drifts through the rooms of the Albatross, sans a singer to say the lyrics. The party enters the bar, and the same brown-haired man that walked through the hall stops playing the piano, and stands up. It was Gabriel Cour - sharply dressed in a suit, as opposed to his normal military gear. "Apologies in advance for not being dressed for the job right now. They enforce a dress code here, and I wasn't sure when you were going to show up." "Yeah, military duds scare off the customers." pipes in the barkeep. "That, and Mr. Cour needs to work off his tab somehow." "If you think that piano playing here is my only source of income, you are mistaken. Don't pay attention to him. He likes to hear himself speak. You all here?" Gabriel looks expectantly at the party.
