"Not really. She's an alchemist, I'm a blacksmith. Her sister lived with us for a bit, and she took the liberty of animating some of my old work. She put a bit of an ego in the damn things too, hmph. Would you mind giving me a quick rundown on who I'll be dealing with here?"
-
"Nope. I pretty much went here to retire. I got restless, though, so me and the missus opened up for business for anyone who could make it out here." "Your teammates have, uh, quite the chemistry, I've noticed."
-
"I would like to hear what he says first, Jinnipher. I don't think I'll really like the answer, but I'm not going to be that trigger happy making decisions. You alright, otherwise? No breaks, sprains, things like that? That purple bastard had an arm on him. I'm more concerned about having everyone in one piece then whoever doles out the goods."

"I don't believe there is. I'm fine just waiting for you to get some rest, these old bones are getting tired of walking." -
Round Two Of The Severa Smackdown! >Pretzel throws a Firebomb >Lind throws a Military Grade Firebomb >Gabriel throws a Sleep Bomb The Severas find their otherwise immaculate formation going up in smoke, as the party bombards them. Their armor pieces scatter, multicolored mist of the specters looming pitifully over them. The Battle Was Victorious! All standing heroes receive EXP. Party Leader, distribute the loot: Grand Potion x2 Remedy x3 Mead 60 gold Ectoplasm - Raises maximum ether by 2 permanently. The pruple knight begins to reform first, staggering around as if drunk. It was a pointless gesture, as he had forgotten to pick up his weapon. "We.... Will not... Be defeated! *huff, huff* The Severa Specters are..." The sound of incoming footsteps is punctuated by the yell of an old man. "ARE YOU FOOLS HARASSING SOME POOR FOLK AGAIN?!" "M-master Flavius, we found these trespassers climbing up the-" "You dolt! Normal folk climb up that wall up the time. It's called rock climbing, and some people like the sport. And they're not even on our property yet!" "But, sir-" "No buts! Pick up your borthers' junk and haul yourself off to the shed, and stay there." The dejected, mighty Severa Purple began to pick up the armor remnants, while Flavius turns to the heroes. "Sorry 'bout that. They get sassy after they don't get to hit something, the delinquents. Me sister in law made 'em before she left to travel, and the missus demanded that I keep 'em handy, the little bastards they are." "You wouldn't be Flavius the Blacksmith, would you? And your wife, Marionne, the alchemist?" "We sure are. Looking for our services? You must've trekked a fair way to get to our little cottage. I'll lead the way when you get all of your affairs straightneed out. Feel free to take the stuff those little blighters left behind - that's a good punishment for being so nasty." "Thank you." Gabriel heads over to Jinnipher, bends down, and offers her a hand up. "Sorry about that. I should've realized the plan put you in hamr's way, or at least taken the hit myself. The rest of you, do what you need to before we head to Flavius' cottage." "We could do that stop, and then hit the graveyard?" -
QM Note: Yes, you should've. However, that also means Jinnipher was knocked out... Lind's gold was added, by the way. Gabriel's nonchalant mood was quickly disrupted by seeing Severa purple strike down Jinnipher. "What the hell? We had the power to end this before any got hurt. Someone, get Jinnipher standing." Unless convinced otherwise, Gabriel throws a sleep bomb. QM Note: Did I get something wrong with the free hits, or no?

"Hm, you're right. Which means that, if we're willing to waste some firewpoer, we can wrap this up in one turn."

"We could. Good idea. But my sleepbombs aren't gonna damage them, unfortunately."

QM Note: With the Netherwings, you'd actually do 4 damage, working off of the rule I had for elemental typing (1*2*2=4)
-
"Not a lady if she's committing crimes." QM Note: By the by, due to their typing, the Specters do lose 2 durability to darkness elemental attacks.

Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live

"Sorry, sorry." I take a few steps back and let the bumbling dwarf continue. -
"Most parents don't name their children after a disaster." "You're asking US what WE'RE doing here." "When YOU were the ones to just somehow appear up here?" "Let me guess, teleportation, magic carpet?" "Start talking..." "Or be run through by the Severa Specters!"
-
I'm a bit late, but updates are here!

With Lind's plan, the group manages to hoist each other up the sides of the eldges, taking a shortcut and managing to reduce the length of their route signifcantly. Despite all of the thrashing, the party felt more experienced as a result. "I mean, if you want her to kick in the face, sure. Then again, that already happened." "Can't say I disagree. People used to call me Sandman, you know. Awful name, looking back." "That reminds me of something I wanted to ask. I'm guessing your name isn't really Calamity?" "So I'm sugar and everyone else is hon." Gabriel smirks. "Got it." The party, having made their ascent, continue forward, until a blockade of knights guard the way. They glower menacingly at the party, and Gabriel instinctively reaches for his handcannon, looking stern.

I approach the two. "Do you know if Countess Lyudmilla attended any Decamon related events? I've heard accounts of her coming here, with the Decamn rep being a figure with a detached shadow?" -
The order, from left to right, is Pretzel-Gabe-Jinnipher-Lind-Calamity. Sorry 143/137, no updates from me until tomorrow afternoon.

"Unfortunately, no, holy man, these were hand-me-downs." Similarly, Pretzel unearths six gold. The paths in front of them diverge, and Garson and the party head seperate ways. "Safe travels!" "...What a bizzare man. I know I'm hardly one to talk, but... Whatever. We're about to get to one of the trickier bits of this journey." The party approaches a towering series of ridges on the side of the mountain. "The artisans' cottage is just up here. We can take the long way and get the gift for my borthers twnty-eigth birthday, or we can go this way and get it just in time for his twenty-seventh." Cliff Hangers: Ascending The Ridges -Each hero has a combined strength/weight stat and a number of moves they can perform, based on how highly levelled they are. Jinnipher: Strength/Weight: 11 Moves Availible: 2 Monk Pretzel: Strength/Weight: 35 Moves Availible: 3 Calamity: Strength/Weight: 5 Moves Availible: 2 Lind: Strength/Weight: 22 Moves Availible: 3 Gabriel: Strength/Weight: 30 Moves Availible: 3 -A move can consist of boosting a hero up to one ridge (if the two heroes are on the same level) or pulling that hero up from one ledge above. Only the booster/puller loses a move; the hero being transported doesn't lose any of their moves. -When boosting, the person boosting the other hero up must have a higher strength than the other person's weight. -When pulling up, the person pulling the other hero up must have a higher strength than the other person's weight. Two heroes can combine their strength (the sum of the heroes' strength stat) to pull a hero up to their current level, but it'll cost both pullers a move. -All five heroes start on the first ridge (Level 0). Using the number of moves given, the heroes must ascend to the top of the ridge (Level 2). -Answers should be posted as a sequence of who boosts/pulls each other, until all five heroes are at the top.

Is Nalah's special a Persona 3 reference?

Gabriel is about to respond when Lind takes out his shovel, and digs finding five gold buried in the dirt. "In fact, they do." "No, they did not tell me that." \ "No, not nearly as much. Albatross is just pricy as hell. That, and I don't really mind playing the piano. Always kind of liked music. Besides, I have to do something between getting contracts and paying you home visits, don't I?" Gabriel chuckles, and begins to walk forward slowly. "Good bye, Garson. Heroes, you ready to go?"
