  1. Calamity had yet to pluck the leaf off the tree - the Boggossus had inched away as soon as Garson made his appearance. QM Note: A more expansive update will be floating your way tomorrow afternoon!
  2. Although I agree on principle, while all undead are evil/all dwarves have one overlord affects virtually every character of that specieis, dragons having a common ancestor really doesn't in most scenarios. He isnt a leader figure, so why would they know/care? The only thing realy prohibited by having a Father of Dragons is that there can't be more than one Father of Dragons, which is usually the same for all NPCs of (insert position here.) Also, the ideas for Immortalis and his past are largely not based on my own creations.
  3. Well, uh. Maybe?
  4. Oh, he was just a mock-up. Are you certain you won't be able to go, Lind?
  5. No, Immortalis is way more than Level 200, with cobined strength. Vorpalis was something like 350? Also, while I'm teasing mechanics: *Impending Doom!* The hero is knocked out in one round unless otherwise remedied. Also, what? That red dude was just there for scale. I don't even think it was me that made that joke. Come and join! All you need to know about is 134, 138, and maybe 70. Dragoons are welcome, considering its The Father of All Dragons you're dealing with.
  6. After 143, I am hosting my very last quest. There's going to be a Level 200 enemy. Come on it, I dare you.
  7. Karie says that as if she's above all that. Loving this new Grogmas event. Thinking of loot to hand out.
  8. Lind realized that the nearest Azureleaf still on its treee was literally couple of meters away. The compass points directly at the Bogossus. "...No more of this loyalty to the mission bullshit. Tell me what you think is right."
  9. "I'll be okay..." Lind's intimidation does nothing to melt Gabriel's reserve, but Pretzel's wrds and Jinnipher's glance do. "...I just met my brother a few months ago. The poor bastard went almost his entire life thinking he didn't have any family. I can't show up empty handed.... Can I...?"
  10. "...There is no luck in this situation, miss. She doesn't get the leaf, she dies. I... You're heroes, aren't you? I don't understand. You're just... Just standing by as someone withers away and dies, and you can save them, and you don't. I...I have 200 gold I can give you fellows. Please. Help me save my sister." "What makes you think your sister's life is more important than my brother's?" Garson shrinks. "I-I'm sorry sir, I didn't realize you were trying to save someone's ife as well..." Momentary doubt flashes across Gabriel's face, but he returns to his stern look. He didn't seem really compelled to correct the alchemist's false assumption.
  11. QM Note: It's a lot more organic if you just let Pretzel hand the compass to you, if he deems it neccasary. "Wh-when Bogossi migrate, they do this thing, right? Where they choose the weakest of the herd and ditch 'em, and we migrate four times a year, and... I guess it was my turn..." "And the rest are gone by now. Gone..." says Garson, sounding desolate. "Please, heroes..." "...You've read too many books with happy endings, Lind. Not everyone is going to leave here satisifed. Hell, the only reason Moone looked like victory was because we left the country before they started recuperating - it's still in shambles."
  12. "...Two weeks." "Excuse me?" "A-all the other Bogossi ditched me up here two weeks ago. They're... They're gone."
  13. "Miss, I'm an alchemist. I put it safely away in a puch and make the remedy elsewhere." "I-I-I wouldn't have just given it out if I knew he was around the bend, sorry..."
  14. "By that logic, you should be able to find one too. Except you can't, because no one has any idea where these things go - not even the one right there."
  15. "The Bogossus said it himself - they've all migrated. Vella has mere days left. I can't afford to lose any more time, or I lose her."
  16. "I would... I would very much appreciate that... I-I'm not good at picking sides, I'm really sorry..." The Bogossus begins to lumber into the corner of the rocky clearing.
  17. The Bogossus shuffles uncomfortably, and starts shaking in fear again. "Well, uh, we... migrated... and they... left me behind... I have no idea where any other Bogossi would be." Garson slumps forward in despair, and looks at the heroes pleadingly. Gabriel stares right through him.
  18. "No. I am not." "Please, sir... I get it. You want to get this for your sibling. You probably love him - but my sister, Vella, she will - " "I refuse to give you the Azureleaf."
  19. "That picture, of my sister... Well, I was keeping it with me because she's dying. Terminally ill. And those herbs I said I was going looking for... Well, you guessed it, its the Azureleaf. We've tried everything.Every doctor, every medicine, so many remedies... Even took her to all the churches we could find and see if the gods could do anything. Listen. This is her last shot. If I can't make her a cure with that leaf, my sister dies."
  20. "Lets meet Althior and Throlar at the safehouse and head to the cemetary."
  21. "Sure, certainly, go ahead!" The Bogossus stretches out one of its four legs to let Calamity ascend. She scurries up to the top of the creature, and begins trying to pull herself up the tree perched on its noggin. When she has difficulty, one of its claws gives Calamity a boost, gently picking her up and holding her high enough to snap off the Azureleaf. It was then when the party hears the crackling of fire behind them. "Well.... Hello there, heroes." he says, sounding melancholy. "Just... Hear me out here. I'm sorry we're meeting again, like this. But I need that Azureleaf, all of it. It's a matter of life and death."
  22. "Oh, you mean that blue thingy on my tree?" The Boggossus points a spindly tentacle at the bright blue foliage. "Just take it. Just another leaf to me. It doesn't really matter, as long as the tree is safe..."
  23. The Boggossus visibly relaxes. "Complicated? Uh, may I ask why? I don't understand... Why are you folks here?"
  24. The Bogosuss' demanor changes completely. It gives a small gasp of terror and begins to clop backwards, the ground shaking with each of its horrified steps. It shields its bizzare eyestalk with its even more bizaare tentacles, and is shaking like a frightened puppy. "Agh! P-p-please put the sword away, I was just-just yawning! I'm r-really sorry if I sounded threatening..."
  25. I see you spotted my inspiration. (also yes I'm bad at formatting)
