"Sancho... that enigmatic object, if you please."
-
"Sancho... what is that... thing (???) you are carrying?"
-
I raise my eyebrows and look at the two possible suspects. "Hm. Who wore a hood, offered us drinks at the bar, is an alchemist and could create such a brew, has bat ears like Haman, and is in the QM's avatar?"
-
I pocket the child's gift and nod. "Very well, I believe that just about wraps everything up. Anyone up for a good martini back at the hall?"
-
The reunion sends me into a state of nostalgia, recalling the events of my own impromptu childhood. The days and nights spent with the necromancer community were magical times... literally. They were happy memories, to be sure, but the vents they paved the road to were just too painful. I place a mental embargo on the memories and look at the scene. Though my hood concealed it, a melancholic smile spread across my face. "Sorrow... do you remember? Do you remember why I... you... we came to Heroica?" Dad... "Meryln... you wouldn't have some Z-mail lying around, would you? Just one parchment would do... I'm gald we could reunite you with your brother." RP stuffs.

"Oh, you've demonstrated the extent of your capabilities more then I could ever need. Your skills seem to compose entirely of flailing, snarking, then dying, in that order." -
Fantasy medieval era. Stuff happens.

As my soul rejoins with my failing body, a course of static courses through it/ My heart stutters form the impact, the jolt slowly recalibrating my heart. Boomingham hears the heart stop, then start again, beating at a more steady place. The blue glow returns to my hood as I stir awake... I give a slight nudge for the paladin to let me down, slowly drawing myself up to my feet. "I... I don't know what happened... I got into some sort of battle... and lost."

Forgetting Arthur?

Rip, tear, REND!

Gah, 48ers, not your best round... but you do have all of next round to reassemble yourselves, so yay?

There is only 1 enemy: you can heal away with only one person targeting the dragon. Also dagnabbit Flare, welp I'm dead.
-
Speaking of Aquos and 48, really sorry I never ran a round yesterday, 48ers. I'm on break, so 2 rounds today, promise. Also, Scuba, Mephisto only had 1,300 HP... 2,300, if you count the rod. Also, Obsidian Dragon. Looks, in my mind, incredibly easy: Honestly, 60 damage for any of you is not that much, and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if you murder it before the first Omega Flare.
-
I believe it was once mentioned that it'd be cool if the Toxiproggs set up a venom stall... given what'll happen at the end of 48, perhaps they would be good contenders for the job?
-
I was going to request to Sandy that perhaps an "Import" kiosk could be implemented, with some of the unique quest items being sold (3 at a time, cycles every so often)... with ludicrously jacked up prcies, of course (Perhaps a 50% increase? Plague Venom goes from being 120 to 180, as an example.)

Perfect Regret merely chuckles, gnashing his razor-sharp teeth as he does so. He speaks in a wry tone, amused by the party: "Say what you will, Sylph. At this point, I am simply left wondering how MAGNIFICENT the explosion will be when I end your existence, Druid..." Round Eight Of The True Final Battle! >Punii makes jellies: No jellies made! >Sylph heals Romulus (back): Heal Greater Heal (9x2=18+21=39 HP healed) >Elgar VS Puppetstring (back): Damage Shield: Summon! The battle continues. The ethereal puppetstring becomes thin, trying its hardest to ensnare two minds at once. The puppetstring's iron vice begins to slip as it manipulates the pair of heroes, nearly destroyed by the party. The round goes rather well until Romulus rushes Perfect Regret's claw. With a sinister cackle, the abominable Progg employs some powerful magic. Tendrils of darkness erupt from a gap in the Progg's shoulder blades, rushing up the beast's arm. They meet at the palm, rapidly coiling into a massive spike of darkness shooting out of the beast's hand. With a floruishing movement Perfect Regret mows down the entire party, Elgar knocked out cold by the ruthless assault. The pestilent spike manages to even poison a few heroes before retracting back into Perfect Regret's hand. Wounded, Galen is able to finish off the string. His wrench fles through the air, clipping the puppetstring in two. The heroes shake their heads rapdily, snapped out of their trance. The battle rages on! "Why do you still try?" Perfect Regret gives a chuckle. "Alas, poor druid, you underestimate me. Do you think my powers of perception are only skin-deep? Do you think the master of death hasn't picked up a few ways to peer deeper into somebody?Outward appearance to me is meaningless - so easily altered, so easily changed. However, a soul is a soul. When tainted, you simply can't undo the blemish. When twisted, it doesn't repair itself. You can hide your face behind a mask... you can hide behind your party... but you cannot hide your soul. The words you speak are so hollow in comparison to what they are coming of of Druid, truly. You say that I do not understand love? Perhaps I don't. Prometheus did, but unfortunately that poor soul is long gone. But you... you do not understand love, companionship, friendship, loyalty. You don't want to. Your story is the exact same as mine, Sylph Solanum! You walk down the same road as I... My story is yours, you're just a few chapters behind. You try to purge yourself of hatred, Druid. Denial. You will begin to see the world as it truly is, and reject it. Anger. You will try your hardest to simply make the best of this pitiful realm, beg for a new beginning... and fail. Bargaining. You'll enter a state of dark catharsis, unable to choose what to do. Depression. And there is no Acceptance, Druid. There is none down the path you walk - only Hatred. Unending Hatred and Regret; what you once tried so hard to avoid you become. One day, Sylph Solanum, you'll be in this exact same predicament once more... just switch the positions. Loneliness, hatred, despair, sorrow, regret... all the embodiments of the path you walk. Embrace it, and save yourself thousands of years of folly. We're kindred spirits, Sylph. There is no denying it. Lie, druid. Lie like you always have, and always will, until you become brave enough to master the darkness in your heart." QM Note: Doctor's appointment this afternoon, so I'll run a round tonight. Also, on Wednesday, I am getting a wisdom tooth pulled. I'll be out of commission for the later part of that day, methinks, so I apologize... The rest of that week I have off, though, so we'll move fast. -
Despite the fact a treasure of immense beauty had just emerged, my heart said otherwise. It beats like a dynamo, the sound of it pounding incessantly on my ribcage audible. I slump and my limbs convulse, sharp, laboring breaths emitting from my skull. It felt as if the world around me was crumbling around me. "Helvetia, WHY...?! Why is it coming back...?!" Got a phase 2 of the boss battle to wrap up - Sorrow will see you then!

Keep the Croises to the Croise quest and leave me alone!

QM Note: Right you are! Sylph is still standing - this is twice now I've almost accidentally killed off the poor druid this battle. Carry on. -
A hexed hero acts irregardless of whether or not they are put in the battle order/post an action, though, so...
-
I believe Alex acted the round he got hexed, though I may be wrong.
