The final struggle against Iris' true horrific form beings. Her convulsing tentacles lash out against the heroes, engaging in combat with the heroes. They dodge and weave, attacking in a barrage of jabs. Her two darker tentacles hang back and bombard the party with dark magic blasts, forcing the heroes to keep moving. Most of her white tentacles take severe damage, but such a gallant assault comes at a price: Several heroes are hurt badly, whipped, blasted, and stabbed by Iris' inky appendage. Erdathcath tries to aim at Iris's main body, but only recieves a jolt of ether for her trouble. She convulses slightly, before recovering from her shock at the demoness' hands. "Have you learned the error of your ways, humans, or do you require further punishment?" "This is fun! Hahahahah - Put on a good show, heroes. "Sounds fine to me." "I'm unsure if going through the school while split up is a good idea. Who knows if we encounter another sort of Reaper? We may not be able to fend it off, and I'd rather not perish before my two years or so are up." Speaking of my mortality... "Karie, have I been acting different, this quest?"

How's that for a boss? If you don't target any tentacles before you target Iris, she'll have an SP of 128, 81ers. Think this one through.

QM Note: With those erros of mine in mind, that would mean two more Oculoids would die - meaning the 25 enemy deaths needed would be fulfilled! Thus, moving on to the next phase of the battle... Iris watches on in horror, her gleeful banter coming to a halt as one of her last Disciples is mowed down by Jeaux's spell. The evoker makes a ball of darkness that tears through the Disciple, reducing it to a pile of nothing. Her blue eyes now boiling embers, she marches forward. "Enough is enough, darlings. I tried to let you live for a least a little bit longer, as a thrall. I tried to give your lives purpose. But you vermin don't want to stop wallowing in your own filth, do you? I'm not going to allow you to harm another one of my precious children! Did you truly think I would stand idle as you strike down my beloveds, one by one?! Oh, you stupid creatures - I am done toying with you! I had hoped to a far more civil conclusion to this, but you have forced my hand." The blue glow fades from Iris' eyes, as she gives out a shrill screech, toppling to the floor. The human body convulses in pain, whoever the poor soul was before being inhabited still unknown. A dark aura envelopes the body, two white tenacles hooting out from the miasma. Those tentacles are followed by four by four, one by one exitting the human vessel. Finally, Iris' body tears out of the husk, revealing her grotesque true form. Iris, no longer using a mere human as a puppet, was the most horrible foe the heroes had encountered yet. She seemed made of a white, shimmering ink, blue ehtereal sparks dancing across her rippling complexion. She practically bulged with ehterwal might, crackling with power. She was adorned with six writhing, barbed tentacles, locked in unnatural angles. The monstrosity looms above the heres, casting a formidable shadow above them; All six of her murderous appendages were glowing blue with magic, pointed at the heroes. Her gaze was unmoving, and oddly alluring... The unearthly abomination readied herself for battle, pushed to her limit - a murderous gleam in her eye. "I warned you, heroes, didn't I? I gave you so many chances... Oh so many oppurtunities to flee, submit yourselves, or even die a painless death. I have been more generous to you cretins than to any creature before. But now? You are the only thing standing in my way. The only obstacle getting in the way of what would otherwise be pure perfection. I let you filthy beasts live; It was a guilty pleasure, I must admit. But no more - you have killed far too many of my children, and for that, you will pay! I have every intention of pleasing my master, and avenging the Oculoids that have fallen today! DIE, HEROES!" "This is it... Let us put an end to this nightmare!" "Let us strike this demoness down!" "We've made one *wheeze8 miracle happen - we can do another, guys! We can save this colony from this monster's clutches!" With the fate of the Colony in the balance, the final battle begins! Prepare For The Final Battle! "This ends now!" Why does it not surprise me how poorly run the academy is?

"Not physically! Give them extra assignments, make them stay after school, dock their grade, something. Don't tell me you have no semblance of control over the very people you are trying to educate."

"How do teachers allow this to brew in your school, Abbot? I understand that you're not solely at fault here, but the Dean? The rest of the faculty? Why don't you discipline these children?" "Nonetheless, your plan sounds like a good one, Karie. Lets get these children to safety."

Johon expects another outburst of rage, but Iris seems to relent. Beneath her face scarf a twisted smile appears, and she begins to laugh. "You beat us?? You beat us? Hardly! I don't think you understand, you folks... How many Oculoids have you destroyed right here? 15? 20? Our legion grows, and my children multiply. Our master's plan has almost reached its peak, and now he isn't afraid to use any resource he needs. We are making a hundred Oculoids each day. One hundred. Even if you strike us down, what do you think you'll accomplish? My children will appear in limitless numbers; that is the beauty of it all. We are infallible. We have already recruited 300 new soldiers, and I we will have a hundred more by sundown. You can't even damage our plan. You may set it back about an hour, but is that worth so many lives? You serve only to delay the inevitable! You're drunk off of pride from your previous false victory, Raider. Reality will set into that thick skull of yours soon. Even you can't be irksome when you're a pile of dust, darling! The Eternal Reaper will annihilate each and every diseased creature on this planet!"

"Do you ever shut up?!" Iris screeches. Iris looks at Johon in a fury, her eyes darting between the splattered corpses of her supposed "children" and the ink-stained raider. Her glowing blue eyes narrow into slits as she stares down Johon, her eyes fluttering open with sudden realization. "Wait. I know you. You're one of those scumbags who offed an Oculoid Chief in the forest, aren't you? You and the necromancer, along with the pale-faced twit. Altair and Karen, was it?"

Why, because of the battles or being slammed by endless delays? I liked what I saw, Kintobor - mentioning length would be beating a dead horse, so I'll just cover other aspects. The battles were well made, but i can't help but feel that their position in the quest should've been reversed. I realize I was the one that you ran the second battle past, but I figured a slightly de-escalating difficulty curve would be better than a TPK. Nonetheless, the battles were great to watch. Characters were quirky and fun as always, though I do wish Nicole had some more screentime, everyone felt fleshed out enough relative to their screentime. Oh, and I did like the puzzle, though it was on the easy side.

"The girl said that she would come along if her bee-eff-eff was saved, whatever that is... Even if we rescued whoever she is seeking, would she and her boyfriend seriously refuse sanctuary just over some stupid feud? How did these rivalries start, anyway? My patience is nearly expended..."

"Have you considered establishing a "Common Sense" class? I'm serious. Many of these children need it desperately. I hope none of you were like this when you were teenagers, hmph." "But, yes, sending some kids back now sounds like our best bet."

QM Note: Clerical error - I don't believe Solon should've had that Destructive Grade Light Bomb, it should've been expended. You may need to restrategize.

"It's your life on the line." I shrug. Of course, I wouldn't abandon her, but I rather she'd be intimidated and alive rather than haughty and dead. "If you value your safety, you'd come with us." "Out of curiosity, Noel, how many people can fit into the box?"
