      Endgame

It was a birthday gift, no way I could fit it into my annual Lego budget.

  2. Any ETA on the rest of the Tidings, Sandy?
  3. ...I applaud your logic. It actually is a bit of a poor idea, though, since none of the enmies in 93 so far have been carrying gold. The consumables are becoming unprofitable.
  4. I'm guessing that the party gets back without hindrance, but if not, disregard those lines and chalk them up to Sorrow's senility. "Catch, then." I throw Karie a bottle of mead, nostrums, and smelling salts.
  5. Every time he takes one of those, though, he probably loses a week or two off his life. Truth be told, 94 reminded me to do it.
  6. "Oh, and before I forget..." I down a mead, Smelling Salts, and Nostrum. Any consumable you want, Karie?" I look at the doorway, and see the rest of the party standing there. "Or any of you, for that matter?"
  7. Round Two of the Final Onslaught! >Erdathcath heals herself (back): Damage Shield: Roots of Life (13+20=33 damage healed to all heroes) >Em VS Tentacle A (back): Special Damage (Suffocating Grip: 15/2=8-4=4 damage, Poison 7 transmitted) >Jeaux VS Black Tentacle A (back) (light): Critical Hit (11x2=22+16=38x2=76 damage) >Solon VS Black Tentacle B (back): Critical Hit (15x2=30+18=48+5=53/2=28 damage) >Fydelle VS Tentacle A (front): Shield: Arrogant Prick (15x4=60+28=88+6=94-3=91 damage) >Sarge VS Tentacle B (back): Special Damage (Destructive Blast: 27 damage to Sarge, Fydelle, Solon, Jeaux, Em, and Erdathcath) (27 damage to Tentacles A and B, + Iris) >Sarge VS Tentacle D (back): Critical Hit (18x2=36+18=54x2=108/2=54-3=51 damage) >Johon VS Tentacle B (back): Special Damage Critical Damage (15x3=45+26=71x4=284/2=142-3=139 damage) >Johon VS Tentacle C (back): Steal Shield: Ravage (15+26=31x4=124/2=62 damage to all enemies, 48x1.5=72 gold. Iris and Black Tentacle A made Fragile. Bricksandparts, it seems that for this battle, I forgot the very mugging clause I suggested. You should only be getting money from enemies with gold. I'll go back and adjust your Ravages. EDIT: I went back and recalculated your ravages. You lost 784 gold total, sorry. ) >Erdathcath VS Iris (back): Special Damage Critical Hit (13x2=26+20=46x4=186-2=184 damage) (No hex!) >Punii creates Destructive Grade Dark Bomb: Success! Given to Fydelle The battle continues, this skirmish being more than eventful. Erdathcath summons the Roots of Life in their dire moment, the healing tendrils crawling down from the cavern cielig to spray the party with their healing spores. However, distracted by his wounds being mended, Em gets caught in Iris' inky clutches. Jeaux, Sarge, and Solon go off on a frenzy on their enemies, but Sarge makes a mistake. The tentacle evades his reckless swing of the scissors, allowing it to unleash a magic burst that engulfs most of the party. Sarge, Johon, and Erdathcath pick up the pace, and managed to do moderate damage - Johon even severing one of Iris's several limbs. To cap it all off, Punii makes a Destructive Dark bomb. "My internship at the Guild of Invision sur ehas let me improve *wheeze*, right Johon? I can even make some *cough* domestic things with my skills... I made my adoptive mother, Ayla, who is paying for my internship, some jasmine perfume." "Jasmine perfume, you say...?" Iris bursts out cackling, even though she had gray, inky blood pouring out of the stump where her tentacle previously was. "You snivelling little... You managed to amputate an arm?! Two, even!" Iris, Level 48 Light *Fragile! 3 rounds remaining* SP: 2 HP: 867/1200 Specials: Tentacle Thrashing: Iris Hastens herself for an amount of turns equal to the current amount of tentacles she has left. 8. My next quest will feature Shadeaux rep, and my super-ultra-mega-duper final boss may drop a letter of recommendation or two (or something similar, if I can get it to fit thematically). So perhaps you won't mind doing a bit of a double with Endy?
  9. QM Note: Someone can post an action for Solon, if they want.
  10. One will appear eventually. It usually takes about 2 years to even come close to an Expert Class, so I wouldn't worry.
  11. "...Okay. Heroica hasn't been too kind to you, has it, Karie? Anything good come from your questing?"
  12. "That's... Another reason why I objected so much to the dress. I knew what you were planning, to a degree. I knew you wanted to marry that man, and yet... Here you were, walking around with that dress on. He seems more than devoted to you, and I just see harlotry as the inability to be devoted to any one person. It just reminded me of what I did to Sarah far too much. I'm not saying you're not devoted to Masson, Karie. In fact, I'm guessing if a woman is willing to propose to the man, you must like him quite a bit, huh? Does the rest of your family know about him at all? No... No, you never told me about your first quest. Do you want to?"
  13. I give a small, sorrowful smile. With my hood off it looked absolutely grotesque, but at least recognizable now. "Only a 'little' too skimpy, huh?" My expression hardens as I continue. "It's just... So unlike me. I rarely get frustrated. My patience never just vanishes at the drop of a hat like this...And this constant memory loss, both short-term and longterm? Brand new. When I die, I want to die as Sorrow. I don't want my mind to wither and decay, and my body to just expire after. Do you understand what I mean? I want to be aware when I perish, I want to be able to remember the people I've met and the things I've done. I'm more afraid of the senility than death, to be perfectly honest." "Karie, I still have a year left in me, minimum. I'll be around for a while. It may not seem like a long time, but in my over four hundred centuries, the ages just seem to drag on by now. Time was never really an object to me, before. As long as I didn't let some racist stab me, I could keep chugging along. But now? Not so much. I've got a bucket list of sorts. 1. Get a roof over my head, maybe just a tiny little room in some tavern. 2. Become a necromancer. 3. See the Wolfgang fall, or at least weakened. 4. Be there for whenever you choose to get married... Which I'm guessing isn't too far off, is it?
  14. QM Note: Sealed only applies to magic.
  15. Oh, no, I'm not upset, I forget a tongue smiley - heck, I already gave you permission in PM, didn't I, Kintobor? Here, have three tongue smileys to compensate for their previous omission. (For future reference, any battle style, passive, special, and loot is perfectly fine to take for all QMs. Steal as you please! ) Well, it may not be a 100 enemy onslaught. It may be 5 20 enemy onslaughts.
  16. Next on Endgame's List of QM Atrocities: 999 enemy onslaught.

  17. "Lovingly Stolen"", huh? I still need to get around to planning that 100 enemy onslaught...
  18. Gah, this thing was a nightmare in the first MGS... Very nice representation of the boss, though! However, it seems just a bit too squat... Everywhere, really. It seems too short in the legs and the cockpit seems a bit shorter than usual. Other then that, great representation of the mech. Care to attempt to build a MG Excelsus?
  19. I was under the impression that Zepher not only had several more quests left, but also is on a slight hiatus on new quests due to being away from his collection. Fortunately, I have the power of the Internet and LDD, meaning I am able to build whenever.
  20. "I've been feeling... Irritable. I've been pretty leveleheaded for most of my adult life. I would get sarcastic easily, sure, but that really ha dno true emotion assocaied with it. The only thing that could really anger me was discrimination against undead. But now... Here i am, glaring at my only flesh and blood with contempt just because of some dress, brimming with frustration just because of some adolescents. I cannot remember the last time I was so drained of patience, and this quest is probably just beginning. I've beginning to foret things as well. Not just the past, but the present, as well. I can hardly remewmber the layout of ths confounded place - I'm starting to struggle with remembering what's on my personage. This hasn't happened before. The anger, frustration, lack of patience, memory loss... None of it has occured in the past. Do I seem like I'm going senile, Karie? Don't be afraid to tell the truth."
  21. It'll be anywhere from 8 to 10 heroes. (+1 NPC fighter)
  22. This is indeed the end. Re-read the epilogue to 79, it actually introduced Iris in text form. After 81, one last quest... And then the finale is upon us.
  23. After 81 concludes I'll be hosting a quest for 4-5 heroes, but It'll be higher level advanced classes primarily.
  24. Getting so close to the end.

  25. Go on Shadeaux quests that offer reputation.
