  1. Masson walks close to the party. "Please, we don't need to do thi-" The other Masson steps behind his look-a-like, and grazes the other's shoulder with his blade, the wound leaking ink. Masson quickly thrusts his sword into his look-a-like, black blood spurting out as he did so. With a motion upwards, he rends the duplicate in half, destroying it. "Can you trust me now?" Says the remaining Masson. Punii whispers. "Well... Can we? I guess the two *wheeze* big questions are: Do we think Seerus would be careless enough to let Masson go away, and would of The Regret's minions destroy another just to *cough* deceive us?"
  2. Flinging insults around and making unsubstantiated statements/accusations is hardly the behavior of a townie.
  3. You're only cementing my suspicions. For starters: -Flip floppy? I've remained consistent. I asked you questions to start, saw you avoidedthe main question, and voted for you thinking you were being too erratic/wishy-washy. -How does me thinking you were a good lynch candidate make me scum? -Accusing me of making "stuff up" is really just grasping at straws for an adequate defesne. What have I "made up"? My scumdar is going off pretty ludly right now. That's why I, personally, am sticking to my guns.
  4. Saying you're late/haven't posted much, and then asking why another candidate is being voted for over another on the baisis of activity, is not all that conducive to your question. I really only post when I have something of value to say, asking questions, making/explaining my votes, etc. Besides, as Chris stated earlier, Boris's contributions started flip flopping and more or less decaying, until he was left making somewhat absurd statements. Personally, I believe Malcolm to be a slightly better candidtate, but Boris has already been more or less condemned.
  5. "I know how the Harvester worked because I originally made it... The Regret stole the designs from my mind. It was a... darker time, in my life." "I saw the other me change right in front of my eyes." "I saw you do the same thing. Don't think you can keep that lie up." "Well, we woke up together in bed as The Regret knocked at the door." "We fought an Ameoboss on the deck of the Excelsus." "We reached the island, and met with a man named Knox." "We then went into the abadnoned village, and conversed with Daranza." "After that, we battled Seerus, and, well... I got captured." "Heroes, Karie, please... I'm the man you come onto this damned island with - and for Karie, the man you married. Trust me, please."
  6. "He needed to mug me for tonics to replenish his ether supply, and he only had two tentacles, but I'd be surprised if Seerus didn't bother healing himself." "Yeah, he struck *wheeze* me as someone who planned pretty far ahead." "I have no fear of that sort of test." "...The Harvester was designed to accept only the bloodline of my family. If the Oculoids modified it, they probably switched it to needing an Oculoid handler. Although the concept is sound, Em, it could very easily backfire."
  7. Seeing as the Massons were most definitely not dead, the Spirit Glass has no effect. The soul glass, however... ------------------------- Masson Cour Current Emotion: Contemplative Surface Thoughts: "They'll believe me, won't they? Won't she?" Masson Cour Current Emotion: Calculating Surface Thoughts: "If I hack a limb off the other me and it bleeds ink or something... Maybe that'd be proof enough." ------------------------- "I... Wish I had met Masson before, because I can't help you out here." "They both seem pretty *wheeze* Masson-like..."
  8. "My healing powers should be good enough. What makes you doubt them? Captain, I personally don't believe the stroy, but... Who knows in this world." Lynne gigles softly. "I think a raise would be needed if we did meet it."
  9. "Seerus took it off to perform whatever surgery he needed to... He was weak, so I managed to at least overpower him and run." "Right story, wrong person telling it, Karie. I did that, but then.... This thing took my shape and followed me."
  10. Their eyes were the same - intense, locked onto their opponent, pragmatic... But there was some warmth in them. QM Note: Editted some colors to make the dialogue more distinguishable.
  11. "The Zodiac: Its Importance" "The Zodiac is a Myth" "Is Our Sun The Center of the Universe?" "The Universe Is Infinite, And Here's Why" "The Death of a Sun" "Olegaia's Moon" Most of them almost seemed like textbooks - it seems like the oculoids were merely categorizing information they had found. The lamps emitted a soft coldness, apparently some sort of odd luminous rock encased in glass. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The party exits the library and crosses the hall, the clanging growing louder. The party can hear human grunts, until, walking into the room... Not one Masson, but... Two? "They're practically identical..." "Could it really be...?" The two purple clad men turned to the heroes, both of them identical in almost every way. "I'm glad to see you, I never though I-" The Masson who was speaking had to raise his sword to parry a strike, the other Masson trying to hit him. "Don't listen to him! He's an imposter!" "You're the one who ambushed me when I was trying to escape!" "Don't believe him, heroes, ma cherie. He's trying to decieve you." Their bout ceases for a moment. What would the party do?
  12. I take it you don't believe Jeremy, then?
  13. Well, that's a bit of a game changer... I would argue that being third out of seven, while being a "decent" place for a scum vote, isn't really incriminating. It's the equivalent to claiming that any moderately townie action is just a scum putting on a good act, which is silly. However, the clearing of Monty really only solidifies my vote against against Malcolm.
  14. I'm more inclined to vote for Malcolm - his posts today have either been messy, disjointed, randomly passive/agressive/defensive/offensive, or just leaning back on Monty's rating system. Vote: Malcolm (Mencot) I'd be interested in hearing your justification for Monty, though, Spencer.
  15. "...Surely... You don't really think there is some beast monster skulking around Eubric, right?"
  16. Lynne breaths in the dense fog, leaning on the bannister of the ship. A soft wind gently blows her, the pale woman having to constantly brush hair out of her eyes with one hand while gripping onto the railing with another. In a way, it reminded her of her trip to Eubric. She thought the fog was soothing, but knew that it could cause issues to the crewmen... "Uh, guys? Nothing is wrong, right?"
  17. "North or East, your pick. I'm pretty curious about what that clanging is, to be honest but... I'm just the rookie here."
  18. "I get the *wheeze* nasty feeling she's not his wife in the traditional sense. Probably just a ttile to keep Seerus from outright murdering her. I bet the second she *wheeze* made a single error, Seerus was right behind her, ready to stab her in the back."
  19. QM Note: ...And it looks like me talking about it immediately brought the site back up. Em opens up the astronomy tomes, sifting through the various constellations inked on its pages. ---------------------------------- Most Noble Of Steeds Eye Of Etheris Zoot's Pentagram Danab's Ladle The Pincer Celestial Shield Great Dragon --------------------------------------------------- "That last one reminds me of my homeland..." Karie reads the journal. Who wrote this...? With the astronomical library cleared out, would the party proceed to the North or East wing of the Astronomy Tower?
  20. QM Note: Now Imgur is acting up... Updates when I can host these files somehwere, 105ers.
  21. Thumbs up the the vig. Malcolm's behavior does strike me as erratic - perhaps his defensive/offensive attitude is not entirely unwarranted, merely because the "pings" may have him defensive - but he's not constructing his arguments right. That isn't what bothers me most, though - it's the fact that he more or less ignored many of Spencer's points, saying he twisted his words. Meanwhile, he won't respond to his main points. Why not respond to his questions then? Speicifcally, are you having communication issues, who are Spencer's friends, and why all of the non-sequiter conditional statements?
  22. "Yeah... I trust you two's decisions. I just hope it was the right one... That Norseman didn't seem malicious at all."
  23. QM Note: Sorry, all, updates are going to have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. The weekend will be smooth sailing, though!
  24. On the desk is a rather heavy tome: Collection of Constellations: A Guide to the Shapes of the Stars Would Em take the book? Karie scans the myriad shelves of the observatory, each book unsurprisingly devoted to astrology and astronomy. Many of the books claims outright contradicted themselkves, The Regret apparently not having any specific opinion - he was just amassing and catalogging as much information as he possibly could. One book lies out of alphabetical order: A journal of sorts...? The others, already hard at work with everything else, leaves Erdathcath to inspect the odd lights. A few pokes makes Erdathcath realize they were somehow emitting coldness, not heat - or rather, draining the heat from the room. Perhaps that's why it was so chilly, even in here... "I'm guessing Iris is weaker than Seerus, then, right?"
  25. The pink dot appeared to be a particularly large star in the model galaxy. Coming to a consensus, the party heads to the West, walking through a door into a library devoted to astrology and astronomy. The shelves were barbed and gnarled, the books ordered meticulously without a single page out of place. Additionally, there is another occupant in the room... "...Eh?" A disciple of mastermind Iris. "Heroes... Here...? I... I must report to Mistress Iris, or... she'll feed me to Alatreon for sure..." Realizing she is outnumbered, the white Oculoid flees from the scene, seeping through the ceiling to escape. Leaving the heroes alone in the library... What will the party do?
