  1. Woohoo! That made my day! Thanks, Sion! I do hope that it comes out this year!
  2. Well, if no entry is good enough for you, why should we bother?
  3. Hm... A contest where you have to build something that looks as simple as the old town sets, but looks good enough to win a contest? Sounds challenging! If I find the time, I'll enter.
  4. Haha! Totally! Now, if there were only a brown minifig head with sunglasses and a black buzz-cut wig...
  5. No, I never keep any boxes. As they say, "it's the inside that counts". And I never want to sell my Lego, so there's no point for me in keeping them. And even if I wanted to, I would never be able to find the space to put them as I have already trouble finding space for the Lego itself. However, if it's something made out a durable material and is reclosable, like brick buckets, PAB cups, or BIONICLE canisters, I keep 'em for storage. I agree, that would be very good!
  6. There's a movie of those?? Anyway, I've seen a couple of films lately: Knowing, I Love You Man, and 1408. All of them are pretty good. Knowing is very exciting and has some very good disaster scenes. But the ending kinda kills it. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this, and IMHO, there could have been much better endings to this. But it's definitely worth a watch! I Love You, Man was a very funny movie. I wasn't exactly rolling on the floor laughing, but it was one of the best comedies I have seen in a while for sure. 1408 was very entertaining as well. I love movies where people are locked into a deadly place for some odd reason (like Alien, Cube or Saw II), so I liked it. In the end, it didn't make a whole hell lot of sense, but that's not what Stephen King stories are about anyway.
  7. Not really. So, are you saying that your name is pronounced "Darth Leg-ous" or "Leg-ious" or what? I always pronounced it the way it is written, "Lego-is".
  8. It's basically the same as Obi Wan Kenobi, just with a "K" instead of the "B", so "Oky" is pronounced like the first part in "Okay (not ok-ey)-Dokey".
  9. So, uhm... What movie is it? No. He says "This party is over!"
  10. On Monday, I got the AAT and Turbo Car Chase from TRU, the latter being 50% off. On Friday, I finally tracked down an Hyena Bomber for $15 at my local Target. They are all pretty sweet sets!
  11. Good eye! But why do you care so much for Denal? He was only in like one episode. To be honest, I would actually find it good if we would see more clones dying. Btw, I just received this info with my SW.com newsletter: There is also an example of how this will look like on SW.com: LINK
  12. Besides, the set has already been shown at Toy Fair, so there's not much of a secret about it anymore. I would still love to know how you got your hands on these sets. So, when can we expect the review, Kanal-K1?

    Venator MOC

To be honest, it doesn't look much like a Venator at all. The overall shape (of the "wings") is quite different from that of a Venator. It looks more like a prelim design/prototype of the Venator. And since it doesn't even have an interior, there isn't much finesse to this MOC. If you truly wanted to recreate a Venator, you should have taken at least ONE look at a "real" Venator (or at least the upcoming Lego set) before you started to build this thing. Just my honest criticism.
  14. I have not read any of the books, but I have seen the movie, and I am sorry to say that I found it horribly boring. It seemed to be more something that only girls can get into.
  15. So... Is this so-called review going to be expanded upon anytime soon or what? Sorry for being so impatient. I'm just so excited about this set. Btw, how do you get these sets so early anyway??
  16. I'd love to see you take on the AT-TE. There are many things that can be done with it. It needs a wider floor and some more interior, and it would be great if you could add a ramp in the back like the one in the episode "Liberty of Ryloth" that can be lowered and maybe even carry a clone walker! The interior could include a small room with a holo-table like the one in Liberty of Ryloth. And if the dropship-compatible handle isn't important to you, I would exchange the middle section with a tunnel for the minifigs to walk through. If possible, it could be a flexible tunnel, so that the AT-TE can bent upwards. Also, the main gun on top needs to be modified so that it has controls which the gunner can reach. And if you want, you can even mod the bottom of the vehicle to feature some greebs etc. Those are just a few things that come to mind right now. I would love to see all (or most) of these mods in one AT-TE!
  17. Interesting. Could you please provide some more pics and information, like what "activity" you get it from, what it looks like from the bottom and back, and maybe even compare its size with that of larger figs, like Fabuland or technic? That would be great! I am also looking forward to your MOC!
  18. I usually don't buy multiples, especially not of larger sets, as I am more of a collector than an army builder. However, when a small set is a good parts pack and/or is on sale for a good price, I can't resist to buy a second or even third one of them. Also, I like to have an even number of each part I own. So, from what I can remember, this is what I got (excluding BPs): 2x Final Duel II (Because it's a nice BP for stormies and Imp. officers) 2x 7128 Speeder Bikes (Because after I bought it, I got it for Christmas too) 2x Naboo Swamp (Because after I bought it, I got it second hand among a big pile of other sets) 2x Imperial AT-ST (Because after I bought it, I got it second hand among a big pile of other sets) 2x Vader Transformation (Because after I bought it, I got it for Christmas too) 2x Mini MTT (Because it was on sale and has cool brown parts) 2x Mini AT-ST + Snowspeeder (Because it was on sale and has useful grey parts) 2x Mini JSF + Slave I (Because it was on sale and I wanted to have an even number of the parts from this set) 2x Mini Podracers (Because it was on sale and I just love Podracers! :D) 2x Mini Soulless One (Because I intend to keep one for future selling) 3x Mini V-19 (Because I intend to keep one for future selling and wanted to have an even number of the parts from this set) 2x MTT (Because it was on sale for half price and is an awesome BD BP) There are probably other Minis and small sets that I forgot about right now, but that's pretty much it.
  19. As I already told you via PM, these are really cool. I like Captain Ralkon and his robo-parrot a lot! The part of his hat with the flames on it is supposed to be or just holo-projected/laser feathers (like his saw), right? Because it also kinda looks like a mini chimney where flames come out. Perhaps that would be a nice idea for a Steampunk pirate captain! My favorite crew, though, is the one with the Agents heads. Because they look like normal pirates which have been technologically enhanced! However, their captain could have used some variation from the Inferno character. Perhaps a different face or hair piece. Because right now, this crew looks too much like the Agents baddie gang with pirate costumes. But overall, they're all pretty good. Now, what you need to do is to make vehicles and/or bases for them! :skull:
  20. For pete's sake! It says "in ALL 2009 STAR WARS sets"! I think it's pretty clear what that means.
  21. There you go! I knew you could do it! But the image is really big! Could you please resize it to the 800 x 600 EB standard? Lol! No, I haven't noticed that before. Well, if this is the twins' base, I'd say go for it, but if it's meant for all the baddies, maybe not. Instead, you could just put some Octan oil drums (like these) in one of the corners. Another cool idea would be to put some stolen space police equipment in there too, like a laser cannon like the one in the truck! This base/hangar is lacking in the defense department anyway.
  22. Says somebody with his own fake elf set in his sig!
  23. No, that is a hangar. This is a hanger. Big difference. OK, well, I still don't understand why it's not a problem for you to copy & paste URLs of websites, but not those of pictures, but whatever. Told ya!
  24. The photoshopping on these is actually not bad, but the MOCs are. They don't look like real sets at all. Gosh, I wish we had some confirmation that the elf theme is really going to happen!
