  1. Hehe, good to see some new life in this thread. I especially like the last two. But if you truly want to max out the Maxes you need to add Max Shreck, Max Schnell, and Max Dennison. Maybe even LEGO Club Max and all their other original theme Maxes.
  2. I really don’t get all the Mando hate. I admit the quality has been slowly declining with them shoehorning more and more backdoor pilots into it, but it’s still a very entertaining show. I’m a SW fan, so I don’t mind the fan service. As for the movie, it looks fine. Is it the most amazing trailer ever? No, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s just more of the Mando & Grogu we know and love, so it’ll be a good time as long as you let yourself enjoy it. For some people, “fine” isn’t good enough for a SW movie, but not every SW movie needs to be a big new event as long as it’s fun in my opinion. I have spoken.
  3. Thanks for continuing to work on this. It seems that all of the posts you shared were just quietly added to the page’s photos instead of as actual posts, so I don’t see them in my news feed. The last post that shows up on the page is still the Apostle of Bones one from Sep 4. Again, I suspect this is because all the newly added content had a link in the description. Not sure why FB doesn’t seem to want to share posts with links in them, but I hope you can fix it. Maybe it is filtering them out as potential spam? I know The Brick Fan has been struggling lately with FB blocking some of their posts that link back to their own blog.
  4. Congrats to the winners! I hope you enjoy… whatever it is you won (still waiting for the prize info to be added). Lots of great entries that would make fine factions if LEGO ever decides to bring back Space. And thanks to Bob for organizing this fun contest!
  5. Thanks for providing some sources. However, as I suspected the statements in a lot of those articles are vague at best. For example, it says nothing about Disney wanting Jack Skellington’s house to be more tame and playable in this 18+ set, just that that they “insisted on a particular look” and also states that the designers also had issues with the stability of the original design which I think was probably just as big of a factor in the decision to change it. They also never officially said why exactly they renamed the Slave I and Black Pearl, only saying that it was a “creative decision”. Any reasoning for it is pure fan speculation. And as Brickbob pointed out, #11 is just wrong and it wouldn’t make any sense for them not to approve Zombie Strange for an 18+ set when they approved Zombie Cap for the CMFs. The link you provided doesn’t work and the review of the set I found on Brick Architect says nothing like this, so I have no idea what you’re talking about. Even if these were true, I agree with Brickbob that these are all fairly harmless changes/influences and actually resulted in better sets in some cases like Mos Eisley and the Magic of Disney.
  6. Do you have any sources for these claims? A lot of them just seem like speculations that haven’t been confirmed.
  7. A bit late, but hopefully they can still be considered:
  8. Welcome to Jungle Planet 2025 a.k.a. Planet Zonama! It is a world entirely covered in a thick rain forest. The heat is tropical, the plants are deadly, and the wildlife even deadlier! Only the bravest of the brave would dare set foot on such a hostile planet. Introducing... BEASTRON This extraordinary space faction will go where no other faction dares to go! But you might be asking yourself why? Why would anyone want to visit such a dangerous planet? Well, it turns out that this world is home to a rare flower that is known to have miraculous healing properties, the pink Zonama flower. It can cure nearly any disease, so the Beastron can help a lot of people with it. Therefore, they gear up and enter the jungle for good of minifig kind! In order to achieve their goal, Beastron uses mechs and other vehicles that resemble jungle animals. This helps them traverse the treacherous environment easier and defend themselves against any hostile local wildlife. All of their gear follows the following color scheme: Main Colors: Green, Black Transparent Color: Trans. Red Accent Colors: Teal, Orange, Trans-neon Green Plus some occasional gray tones for joints. Like any good space faction, Beastron also has a cool modularity feature. In addition to being giant mechanical beasts, the Beastron mechs can also enter "Beast Mode" by splitting apart and combining with parts from other mechs. This allows Beastron to create new beasts on the fly to suit any situation! Need the fast legs and tail of a panther to turn the Gorilla into a more monkey-like beast? No problem. Want to add upright gorilla legs to the Panther to turn it into a bear-like beast? You got it! And that's just an example of what you can do with two of these mechs. Imagine the possibilities with a whole fleet of beast mechs! I hope you enjoyed my new faction. I encourage you to check out my other entries for more details on the figs and builds. What other beast-themed vehicles should the Beastron add to their fleet? Let me know in the comments! Beast, Oky
  9. Meet the brave crew members of Beastron! These beasty boys and girls specialize in surviving the harsh environment of a jungle planet. Commander Anna Konda The leader of the Beastron. She is a brilliant strategist and can keep a cool head when things get heated. VultureWing Pilot He is the pilot of the Beastron's starship, the Star Vulture. He is excellent at navigation and with his VultureWIng jetpack, he can easily patrol the skies of the jungle planet. Radio Scientist She is a specialist in communication and sensor technology. The Radio Scientist has all kinds of equipment that will help the Beastron find the rare Zonama flower they're after. Harvest Specialist Once the flower has been found, the Beastron call upon the Harvester to retrieve it. He is equipped with a Claw & Cutter robot arm pack that lets him cut through the foliage and recover the flower with precision and care. Gorilla Gauntlet Specialist Once the flower has been retrieved, Gorilla Gauntlet Guy can carry it back to their vehicle or even all the way back to base if necessary. His powered gauntlets give him extra strength to lift heavy loads or remove obstacles. Monkeybot Mechanic You can find a number of these cheeky little guys scrambling around the Beastron base and starship. They're usually busy fulfilling their main function which is to assist with menial tasks such maintenance, but they can also be a bit mischievous sometimes. I hope you like my beastly bunch. Let me know who you like best in the comments. Beast, Oky
  10. Welcome to Beast Base Beta, one of Beastron's outposts on the jungle planet Zonama. Here they can dock and fix up their mechs as well as prepare any recovered Zonama flowers for transport off world. The mechs can gather the flowers on the lower platform, then with the pull of a pin, the can be dropped into a container below for shipping. Later, the Beastron crew can exit the mechs over a ramp, run diagnostics on them in the control center, and make any necessary repairs with the tools from the nearby tool rack. One of the mechs at this base is the Gorilla mech. It is one of Beastron's strongest mechs and could definitely defeat 100 spacemen! The Gorilla mech carries extra large power cells on its back to optimize its strength output. Another vehicle that can be found at Beast Base is the FROG-Rover. It's not very big and not part of the Beast Mode system, but it's perfect for transporting cargo and crew around the base. On the back it has an energy hook so that it can pull the container once it has been filled up with flowers. Let me know what you think in the comments! Thanks
  11. The Prowling Panther is one of the vehicles that the Beastron uses to traverse the jungle planet Zonama in search of rare flowers. As the name suggests, it's a mech that resembles an Earth panther. Its speed is unmatched and its plasma-powered claws can cut through virtually anything! On the back, it has space to store some equipment. Not only that, but the back half of the mech serves as a cargo hold for any Zonama flowers the crew finds. The cockpit can open for the pilot to enter. Let me know what you think in the comments! Thanks
  12. Just saw the leaked DS pics. So… that’s it? That’s the big $1000 set? 10 dioramas stacked to look like a slice of the DS? And sure, it has a crap ton of figs, but at 9000 parts it just doesn’t feel worth it. The last one also had a lot of figs, but it was way cheaper and had a lot more scenes, plus it actually felt like you were buying the whole Death Star due to the spherical shape. I think if the backside of this one was a detailed model of one half of the DS, it would be intriguing, but as it is it feels like a less interesting version of what we’ve had before, so I’ll be saving my money.
  13. I also just watched the new special. Indeed an oddly timed ad for the market set, although the last special also dropped long after the castle that it was promoting was released. @OttoRiver already spoiled it, but I’ll put it in a spoiler tag anyway:
  14. This is what I see. I just noticed that the other recent posts did get shared, but only appear under photos and not as posts on the page. It seems that only posts that don't have a link show up as posts. Very odd.
  15. To be clear, I’m not talking about posts from before this change (although I agree those would be nice to have too), I mean what has been posted since then. If you compare the first page of the frontpage with the last few posts on the Facebook page, only about 4 of the 15 frontpage posts were shared on FB. Is the FB functionality really that limited?
