We definitely HODL those, me hearties, lol. I think it's safe to assume 2015 design is no more & would never be reproduced. So yeah, not all treasure is silver and gold, m8s

Dude, THIS. I swear, I've been talking to lots of people in YT comments & Insta DMs about it — this is just insane. I'm struggling to grasp how TLG created a literal copycat of 6276 build-wise (I'm really starting to think it's more of a replica than a true modern take on the classic like 21322) — and managed to basically drop all the original characters out of it, lol. They had ONE JOB, kek. I mean yeah, u can have a couple of female characters in the set — but FFS, not at the expense of OG figures! We wanted a comic finally coming alive again, but instead there are 2 female officers, 1 soldier, which I'm assuming is a transgender, cuz the figure has a feminine face and wears a shako without a hair mold, ANOTHER pirate girl (at this point we'll soon be having more pirate girls than boys, lol), generic swashbuckler with 2015 Redbeard's faceprint and a no name admiral pretending to be Broadside. Thank God we at least have a couple of cool Imperial troopers left as well
-
I honestly think Imperial sets from the 2015 wave are going to fit in really well with one too after applying some adjustments.
-
"Admiral" is the leader of naval forces and "governor" is basically the person in charge of the particular colony or even the whole colonial system, in other words — "the New World's King". Ground forces, Navy, the whole trading system & etc. are all being governed, so to speak, by this person in charge, so yeah, Broadside is indeed by all means THE character If this set's manuals contain something similar to the stories we've got with 21322 — yeah, I'd also like to know TLG's reasoning behind butchering my Governor
-
Well, generally speaking I can also swap Broadside's head for 3626cpb1335 easily & use the one in the set for my take on Black Jack Hawkins custom figure (that head is more fitting for this particular guy if you take a look at his original faceprint), but the point is — for the love of God, Governor Broadside is THE main character here! I appreciate the fact that we have a new torso for him here, but why the hell TLG f'd things up with the faceprint so badly! I was really hoping to get a cool refreshed Broadside with this set, but instead there's another generic "Admiral guy"
-
Going from governor to admiral is quite the opposite of being promoted, I should say. If anything, the description totally gives away the fact TLG didn't even have the character of Governor Broadside in mind while designing the main figure for this set, them using a 3626cpb2144 faceprint instead of 3626cpb1335 only adds to the point.

AIGHT, as my original comment is gone forever and I don't have another 40+ minutes to go through everything in deep, I'm choosing violence here & jumping straight into the hot points. Minifigures are honestly lame. First of all, why would TLG pick 3626cpb2144 for Governor Broadside's faceprint instead of 3626cpb1335 (which resembles the original character a lot more)? Why there's no new print created for him in the first place (like what's been done in 2020 for Captain Redbeard)? Why did TLG bother to make a "pirate girl torso №9000" & new faces for SOLDIERS (one or a couple of 'em gotta be new, might be wrong), but didn't put a slightest bit of effort into refreshing Broadside's faceprint — the one that was the highlight of the OG set? That's a huge L in my book. Also, I'm not sure if I'm OK with the new bluecoat soldiers prints, cuz they look more like those sticker prints that could be found in various customs. On top of that, as we've speculated earlier, the army building has just got tougher. With the decision to create a new print for bluecoats inevitably comes the price increase for 2015 designs — same thing with the Imperial Soldiers Flag, btw! Now we have three different designs for the big flag that are going to be pricey down the road, meanwhile the small one isn't even there in the remake! TLG didn't even provide the new design for a smaller flag! And no, I do not understand why we're getting 3 (if not FOUR — 2 officers, 1 soldier, not so sure on this one tho, & 1 pirate) female characters in this set while there's NO Redbeard (apart from his 2015 faceprint on a random pirate smh...), NO Lt. de Martinet, NONE of these females represent Camilla — I mean, what's up? Is this an Eldorado Wokeness or what? This build doesn't look like a fantasy Disney castle, what's going on? The space inside the fortress seems to be hella cramped judging by the available info. I also liked the gunports of the original Eldorado — what we're getting here instead is basically embrasures for muskets. Def a thing for me to reconfigure. Hey, an old school palm leafs! Isn't it cool? Well, if we're keeping the modern tree structure & not bringing the OG joints back — why would TLG even use the older leafs, lol? There's no need to half4ss this part, LEGO. A remade Trading Boat is making an appearance in this set, and while I'm happy to see it, excited for this new sails design even — I'm simply confused why would they add this ship to the remake of 6276. It has little to no cargo, no merchants to sail it, this ship is taking place of a Dark Blue boat that could've had the aforementioned smaller Imperial flag & actually would've been more fitting to what the original concept for Eldorado Fortress was. No idea why this move was made. Dark Brown boat looks lovely, but why there are no Dark Brown paddles for it? Not going to mention the colour choices for the main build, there's literally nothing to be disappointed about. Classic palette enjoyers are 100% happy with this set — those who love modern approaches can easily swap those yellow walls & black docks to tan/reddish brown or whatever, there are no extraordinary parts making such manipulations impossible. I'm giving this set around 6/10 for the first impression. The summary is — love the build (could use some improvements 4sure, thankfully it's modular & all, so options for expansions & reconstructions are pretty much limitless), minifigures are a letdown.

Dude, you've done me SO FREAKING DIRTY with the topic transfer, I swear I've been creating a detailed comment for FOURTY minutes describing pros & cons and my feelings about the set — and when I finally submitted it, all of a sudden, the previous topic is closed & the message went into the silent eternity Talk about a waste of time, lol
-
This is the second time they've brought the new filter interface & I have no idea why, as it received a community backlash a couple months ago, when they've put it to the test for the first time. I rly hope it's gonna be reversed back once more to never be seen again, lol
-
NO-o-o, dude, that's unfortunate Hopefully you'll be able to get yourself a fine deal on that one someday 🙏🏻
-
Don't you have 21322? There's definitely one included + the barred piece in the same colour without the stud handle.
-
I believe this exact door in Pearl Dark Grey is in production since 2013, so yeah, it's been around for quite some time

another 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner restoration

Greetings, m8, and welcome to our bay! Dude, before you go for hydrogen peroxide bath I highly recommend you watching this vid & looking through the comments under it: These sorts of operations could very possibly go both ways if done incorrectly, u know, so my advice would be waiting for some helpful feedbacks here before executing 'em Just start with giving your bricks a standard wash, no aggressive detergents, only an ordinary liquid soap + soft sponge (I'm used to manually wash every brick under the warm flowing water — it surely takes some time, but it's quite effective). Then give it a time to dry out (put the bricks separately onto a towel, it'll kinda help soaking the moisture) & double check the surface of bricks later about the residual moisture and water stains, if there are any — just get rid of 'em using a dry wipe or sponge (sometimes water stains come off easier if u slightly breathe on them before wiping out). Of course I'd also recommend cleaning the parts from dust & stuff before washing, but that's obvious, I guess Not gonna tell you much about cleaning the sails tho, as I've always took an extra care of them & I don't have any set older than a decade to stumble upon the problem, so hopefully there will be some gentlemen to share the experience with you -
Hey, that'd be an interesting one to have a look at
-
The funny thing is that Tierney's gotta be the only guy in Imperial Guards faction to wear a blue coat, which allows him to rock the red epaulettes as a perfect match, lol This guy just takes the established in the 90s dress code & throws it out the widely opened window of his Flagship
-
I can see that, as an option TLG could've left those just for the mid rank officers if they were truly aiming for variety (like we had blue, red & gold coloured epaulettes for 2009 Guards), but equip the regular soldiers with a red ones. Anyway, hopefully we'll get this fixed in the upcoming set 🤞🏻

I believe the red striped pirate tank top from 2015 was also out of production since 2016, but it was still brought back with the exactly identical print for 31109 & 21322 releases. I'm not 100% sure tho, maybe this torso was a part of some books or packs released before 2020, but there are no mentions of any on BL. Therefore I see no problem for TLG to re-release the bluecoat torsos from 2015 in the same manner. Don't get me wrong tho, I'd be interested to see what kind of a new print for Bluecoats TLG could come up with for the 6276 remake if they decide to go that route, but I just don't really see the need for 'em to make those, as, first of all, it's not a guarantee they'd create something 100% better than 2015 print (even though it's not likely for TLG to smh fail this task nowadays, especially considering all they have to do to make a print better than 2015 version is add a buckle onto the crossed belts, lol) & second — this means prices for 2015 Bluecoats on the aftermarket could very much skyrocket over time as the new print solidifies the point of no return to previous patterns, which adds to the rarity of those. I don't have to explain how it would affect those of us, who are gathering Bluecoat armies
-
Or any kind of NIECES, hopefully? Does the name "Camilla" still ring any bells for TLG? Just about time we finally get her as a minifigure!
-
I see no reasoning for TLG to create a new design for Imperial Soldiers as 2015 Pirates wave was essentially a "picture-by-picture" copy of the Classics, just a modernized one obviously, and there's nothing wrong with that design, tbh. Red epaulettes is a must, IMHO. I don't get why in 2015 TLG went with white ones in the first place, lol, especially considering in 2009 refreshed Imperial Guards had blue epaulettes — come on, staying true to the original ain't gonna hurt I'd love the officers to have boot prints, it'd save me some $$$ really, but I don't think it's likely to happen — gotta wait & hope for the better tho For me it's also interesting to see what kind of Cap'n Redbeard we're about to get in this set, intrigued fr!

That'd be a hella understatement It bombed so freakishly hard not a single soul in Hollywood considered coming back to pirates again for almost a decade — & then PotC happened

[OFFICIAL] NEW Skeleton Pirate BAM (Build A Minifigure)
F1stzz replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Ghost Pirate, exactly! As shown in the latest post from pulp_bricktion on Instagram, this figure's torso goes insanely well with PotC/Ninjago smoky/ghostly legs, I believe from now on it's safe to consider this "Skeleton Pirate" a ghost type of character really -
At the current state of things it sounds hella tempting, ngl
-
THIS.

He also mentioned the official release date, which is, in his words, set for July 4th — interesting 🤔 All being said pretty confidently, if everything will happen accordingly — I'm definitely gonna follow these guys we've mentioned throughout this conversation for some future speculations, lol
-
Absolutely! Keeping an eye on things 👌🏻
