LEGO Dreamzzz 2024 Rumours and Discussion
rebelpilot replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It's a motorcycle suit for her motorcycle, I like it. I'm a little disappointed Lego didn't include a printed helmet and visor with the cat-cycle set : Maybe in the January 2025 wave. Speaking of... I wonder if 'zero' is a typo and it's meant to be Zoey or it's a new character? There's a few typos/autocorrects in the Jan 2025 set names so it will interesting to see what transpires. edit: beaten -

I saw this on rebrickable the other day: There's not much information other than it's numbered 6527186 and: So it appears it's a make and take free set available at select locations. As the dates have already passed this information is not going to help anyone but the there is an inventory and maybe the instructions will show up one day. It's a pretty good minifigure for a child to get for free. -

Thanks cacacolito. Regarding the Dreamzzz parts, I've posted in the Dreamzzz 2024 thread explaining how the parts relate to each Dreamzzz character for those not familiar with the theme.

LEGO Dreamzzz 2024 Rumours and Discussion

Thanks for the write up, I had already started my own post with links and pictures before you posted. While a bit redundant, I'll post it anyway. Lego bam aka @cacacolito posted the new 3rd quarter BAM parts including the Dreamzzz characters and as a lot predicted, they are non-dreamworld variants. Image taken from reddit. The reused/exsiting parts and minifigures: Cooper Jayden Nova New real world characters: Mateo - New hair piece with printed white streaks (not green), new head with non-green vitiligo patch, new blue hoodie and pre-existing dual moulded dark grey jeans and red shoes. Izzie - Dana Barret dark brown hair, according to the above pic it's a reuse of this head, new Bunchu Bunny t-shirt and possibly plain light bright blue legs. Zoey - Braided hair now moulded in black, what appears to be the pre-exisitng Zoey head, new leather jacket torso and pre-existing sand blue jeans from several city sets. (Side note: these blue jeans from BAM from Jan 2024 would be a better fit if you can still find them) Mr Oz - Pre-existing hair/beard combo, new head with normal (non-eyepatch) glasses, dark blue classic space logo torso (no lab coat) and possibly pre-exisiting Owen Grady legs. I'm not sure on the legs, they probably should be swapped with the sand blue jeans and Zoey can have the dark blue legs. I already have Cooper, Jayden and Nova but they are very easy to get from B&P. I have several dreamworld Izzie's so I can borrow the dreamworld legs and head from there, or source from B&P, they're not entirely accurate but a better fit. Mateo and Zoey interest me the most along with the classic space dark blue torso, I doubt I'll even bother using it for a Oz minifigure as it's not show accurate but I'm grateful for Lego taking the opportunity to get another space logo torso in there. edit: Accessories - Izzie (Bunch Bunny plush), Mateo (Z-blob), Mr Oz (Flask), Zoey (pet cat), Cooper (circular saw), Jayden (teddy bear), Nova (hair brush). Some of these involve a bit of guess work. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Depends on a few factors... Keep in mind the tax collector has a black cape which is $3.52 AUD and in stock, the other parts (torso, legs, head, hair) total about $4.50 AUD. All these parts are a mixture of bestseller and standard so that's 2 x a service fee of $15 or 2 x $40 spend threshold to remove the service fees. In addition it's a $150 order threshold for free shipping to Australia. Fortunately/unfortunately I don't usually have problems meeting these thresholds, but I wait and make large orders once all the parts I want are in stock/restocked. -
Thanks for that link, I had not seen that before. It exemplifies my point about various pre-built configuration of BAM figures differing from region to region. I've not seen the Valentines Elephant with anything but the heart-shaped sunglasses (flickr on the left, bricklink on the right): And what's going on here with the Halloween pack? There's no jack-o-lantern head for the skeleton and also there are only 14 parts, even bricklink is wrong on this one, they've got the jack-o-lantern as an accessory for the Tiger Cub. I know this because I ordered this same pack online during Covid from a certified store and this is how it was supposed to be packed. Warlock dark green witch hat head skull medallion torso brown skirt gold trident Tiger Cub Suit Girl tiger stripped head piece tiger face paint head tiger torso tiger stripped tail orange short legs Skeleton jack-o-lantern head skull head skeleton printed torso skeleton printed legs long white bone

LEGO Dreamzzz 2024 Rumours and Discussion

Yes, the various models need to be seen in detail more than a single box design can display and fortunately Mind gives all of them the time and attention they deserve in his reviews. I really like that about his reviews. Agreed, much better said than I did. I'm eagerly awaiting Zoey's Cat Motorcycle, it's a simple build but it's a Cat/Bike, it's the zaniness I've come to expect from Dreamzzz. Yes, that was my takeaway from the review and what I was trying to convey. Ultimately, it is a bit disappointing because it suggests to the builder pick one of the three builds and stick with it, which is the antithesis of what they are aiming for which is this one set can be built and rebuilt different ways. Of course Lego could have included the eyes on the windscreen, whether printed or stickered, in all three models as it really doesn't detract from any of them. But as is, two parts should have been included. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

In addition to the orange classic space torso the orange helmet and orange airtanks were also available on Bricks & Pieces at a time when they weren't featured in sets as they have been since.... But that was a long time ago and the way PAB now operates and what's available is quite different. One would assume there was an oversupply of the GWP Blacktron torso so the excess was put on PAB to clear out the inventory. It's anyone guess whether such leftover inventory of the orange CS torso exists after the production of the Space Diner. -

Next review of 71484. I don't mean to keep spamming this topic with youtube reviews but Dreamzzz as a theme gets little interest from AFOLs compared to all the attention that Star Wars and Marvel get from reviewers, so options for new set information are limited. Back to the set, this wasn't one I was interested in at first but I have to say it's really well designed with a lot of nice details. I don't like the alt build but I don't think that's what people will be buying this set for. The new Cooper minifigure is wow. Lots of detail I didn't notice in the promo images like the different arms/hands and face printing. I hope he comes in more of the January 2025 sets. It's interesting that this set features Cooper and 21350 features Hooper: -

Two more reviews: 71485 Z-Blob Battle Mech which looks like an excellent build but is not my thing so I was never inclined to get it. And 71486 Castle Nocturnia. This is the set I've been most looking forward to the most out of wave 3 and the whole theme to date. While I don't agree about the lack of interior being a problem I do agree that something is a bit lacking overall, so I've cooled on the set a bit. It's still something I will get, I'll probably just wait rather than rush out and get it next month. It's probably lacking a bit of detail that can be remedied, especially around the 'grassy hill', but maybe if the manticore was excluded and the extra pieces went into the castle build I'd like it more. I initially liked that they included Phil but now I see it in detail I can see how lacking it is. I understand why but it would definitely be better served as it's own set with substantially more parts allocated. Also it's surprising the stained glass nexo knight shields on Phil are stickers (rather than two printed pieces used repeatedly) and especially the Z-Blob windscreen in the mech, when so many other parts are printed. -
No problem, you're welcome. The Lego BAM instagram I linked to is a pretty great resource for future reference. Also as you've probably discovered jaysbrickblog covers a lot of these. I think I like "suggested build" best. Don't worry it's not that weird, if you go back through this topic you'll find that you're not the only one.

My first thought, relying on my memory, was the black umbrella. I then googled the bear costume minifigure and saw a few examples of the croissant that you had already discovered. Going back to the discussion in 2021 when this was first released I found this post: I would lean towards it being the umbrella, but both the umbrella and croissant are not pieces that are hard to come across so you could cover both options and place one in each hand And when you say 'official' do you mean 'prebuilt configurations' like those in the prebuilt packs frequently seen during Covid? I think that's a better description since there can be a bit of variation with the costumed and other character configurations between different stores and different countries and you could go crazy trying to adhere to one true official configuration. Apparently stores receive some sort of guide but a random employee on the day could get it wrong. I found this example of a bear costume with a lasso in a store display: edit: I forgot that this instagram account by @cacacolito documents the BAM character builds, so yeah I'd say it's the umbrella.

I'm not a youtube lego review sort of person but I only recently discovered Bricks By Mind, probably because it's mainly Ninjago focused, but he also has reviewed most of the Dreamzzz first and second wave and now he's been sent the entirety of wave 3 and there is no embargo. The reviews a lengthy and quite detailed, starting with 71483 he'll be reviewing them all over the coming days and weeks: The season 2 Mateo and Mad-teo are more detailed than I first thought, wow. On top of the new vest, torso and super detailed legs, I'm surprised he's even got a new face print and hair printing. It's good to see Dogan and Doey, the new armour piece and Raven in detail. It's quite an impressive 3 in 1 build, I'm in agreement about the Raven build, Doom Blob is the one for me. -

I'm not sure why there's such outcry over the predictably high price of the goat (other than it's a goat) because every animal that's been added to PAB in 2023/2024 is expensive AF. It's difficult to quote prices because they vary from region to region but this is evident with anything dual-moulded like the harnessed police dog, bulldog, large turtle etc. As per my last post the new white chicken and dark orange chicken are as expensive as the baby turtle. The Riyu baby dragon from Ninjago is almost as expensive as a polar bear and the new LBG dolphin from 60438 is 4 Euro. I'll quote AUD prices for a moment but I was interested in purchasing an adult turtle and baby turtle from 60377 from PAB last year. I bring up the relevant PAB page and they're priced at $5.57 and $4.86 respectively. That's terrible value. The previous tan/dark red baby turtle cost $2.45 AUD. The manta ray and hammerhead from the same 60377 set cost $4.54 and $5.99 ($2.35 body + $3.64 head). That's a total of $20.96 AUD for the 4 animals exclusive to that set. I elected to forgo the 2 turtles I wanted. Until I found set 60377 on clearance for 50% off and I paid $26.50 for the whole set. Obviously 50% off for City sets is not the norm but I got the turtles I wanted and a whole bunch of useful parts (and a useless boat hull) but there's no doubt in my mind that Lego want me purchasing complete sets and not cherry picking desirable parts from PAB. This is not just isolated to the last 12-18 months, a baby elephant cost me as much as an adult Lion. But at least they are available as an option (and not pillaged by resellers) if you don't want the complete set, just don't expect to build armies of them. PAB is a now a terrible way to purchase animals and in my estimation it's by design. edit: I forgot to mention in approximately 3 months times don't expect the complete adult gorilla (3 pieces) from 60437 to be at all affordable, at least the baby gorilla and red panda are found it cheap sets. -

It's been my own theory for the past 6 months that Lego are pricing PAB animals as a prohibitive measure. Possibly in an effort to curb resellers. It obviously won't stop them completely but maybe they'll think twice about ordering 200 and only order 50, some what ensuring availability for more customers. As most of us are just regular PAB customers, the flow on effect is if we want 10 cows or seals but we log in and see the price and don't see the value in it, we think twice and order 3 instead. Again, ensuring at any given time more availability for more customers. We still get our turtles or whatever, they are being made available for sale to us, but we just get less. The fact that there is probably very high profit margins on such pieces is a secondary consideration and if it helps cover the costs of PAB and its expansion in recent times, in their minds, all the better. And better than at the expense of having prohibitive costs on 1x2 bricks etc. I see people complaining about the price of the white 6440114 chicken but it's not much more than the equally absurd dark orange 6319680 chicken. It just means I bought a couple, at half the cost, from bricklink sellers who actually part of sets and don't source from PAB. I also notice the newish 6470913 white bulldog with teal collar is approximately twice the price of the older near identical white bulldog with red collar which was already expensive to begin with. Lego's costs to produce, store and sell it haven't double but that just means I won't purchase it from them, and I doubt resellers will be ordering them in large quantities, generating less demand on an already stressed PAB system. -
It's come and gone. Probably because of a pricing error in the listing.

LEGO Dreamzzz 2024 Rumours and Discussion
rebelpilot replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
30660 Polybag: Also from fateful_lego and Accio Lego: Ninjago had BAM figures last year, 3 Core characters that were not exclusive and 3 exclusives featuring exclusive torsos and heads for Arin and Sora. If the rumour is true (I don't know how credible it is) it could be existing season 1 or 2 parts or some exclusive prints like with the above Ninjago example. If that was the case I'd guess maybe non dream world outfits but that would be less interesting to me except for maybe Logan (the Hidden Side backwards hat and hoodie). Zoey's hair piece will be recoloured eventually and they probably would just use this for Izzie. A Mr Oz lab coat could see lots of interest outside of Dreamzzz though. -
That's pretty interesting. As I posted in the Dreamzzz topic Ninjago had BAM figures last year, 3 Core characters that were not exclusive and 3 exclusives featuring exclusive torsos and heads for Arin and Sora. If the rumour is true it could go either way, use a bunch of existing parts from Dreamzzz or some select exclusive parts.

These? Sure, I'll agree that those names are about as official as they are going to get, as generic as some of them are, but isn't Bricklink still mostly user generated? Because if TLG had any intention to make it more official they'd change the colour names to align with the official palette. And then we could say goodbye to BL because the site would meltdown with the outcry
-
Whether or not a part is made available to purchase on PAB it's part information and name is usually still available from Lego unless it's from a just released set and Lego are slow on the upload. In the case of the grey smowl it's easier just to get this information from Brickset as they scape all that data from Lego's website: Or the back of the instruction book / part list. In the case of the tan smowl from Friends 42631

BAM figures generally don't have names. Just because a youtuber / leaker puts a label on them doesn't mean they're correct. edit: Maybe Brick Clicker meant 'Green' Queen rather than 'Greek' Queen, they did spell French 'Mine' wrong
-
It's been featured in BAM since January but it's not exclusive to BAM.

I think we basically have similar views - great concept, not well executed. To be fair to the creatives working on the show, they're most likely constrained by a pretty small budget. Getting back to the Lego sets somewhat..... The Crocodile Car is in Season 1 Episode 15. The base model dream car is in several episodes and according to the wiki the Crocodile Car is also in the Ninjago crossover episode, which I've not seen.
