    I think this set is a case where Lego needs to make an exception and make an expansion set for. I was disappointed at the 1m size, but I bought it anyways like a schmuck but ended up being somewhat surprised by how good it looks despite the terrible proportions. I would definitely pony up a couple hundred more to make this thing 1,5 meters tall.

    If they do rerelease Skulls Eye Schooner I hope they give it the same treatment as they have all other Icons sets, bigger/better/larger. One of the reasons I abstained from Barracuda Bay was I felt I wasn't getting something significantly better than the Black Seas Barracuda. Apart they looked like two really incomplete sets and together it looked nice but did not have the wow factor for me. Especially since I think they really dropped the ball on the original ideas design, which was far better IMO. There was a guy on youtube though who did a step by step of putting two PoBB sets together to get a bigger/fuller ship and a better island at the same time, and by the time I discovered that video the set had already been retired.

    Looking at the prices for NISB online is pretty pricy, and I know Lego does the occasional re-release. But I guess that'd be wishful thinking?

    Lego seems to be more tight-lipped about sets that are more for AFOLs, my assumption would be they don't want to deal with the backlash before they reach a point of no return when it comes to marketing. The funny thing is though it's not really difficult for Lego to knock a set out of the park IMO for AFOLs, look at the 90th anniversary sets, both of those were excellent sets. AFOLs like me aren't particularly concerned with price per piece counts, just give me something more grand than when I was a kid, and not some dinky play thing and I'll give you all my money.

    Interesting points of views, I ordered mine with express shipping and got it the day after release. Sent with DHL from Belgium to Sweden.

    Basically as the title reads, do the old horse blankets such as the red one from the castle set 6081 fit on the newer horse models from the new 90th anniversary set?

    I'm sure you're right and it's just me forgetting about this asterisk as per usual, wish they would spell it out for us on the website. And a queue to visit the webpage... again Well I got mine placed, now fingers crossed that I'm not on the backorder list.

    I wish the internet store in Europe would allow pre-orders instead of having to wait until midnight like a schmuck on a worknight. Well here we are again... midnight and no sign of it releasing.

    You're only listing space sets though. There was the technic Scania, that set looked awesome, but nope. The Big Boy locomotive, no word yet. Sorry but the idea line has turned into nothing but pandering to get some adults who were never fans of lego to begin with to buy a lego set and never buy one again.

    If they do a second one, I wouldn't want the same character in a new dress, I'd go for: Scooter, Rizzo and Yolanda, Dr Teeth, Sweetums, Beauregard, Bobo the Bear, Floyd Pepper, Lew Zealand, Pepe (If people haven't judged that too much of a stereotype), Sam the Eagle, Zoot This collection would complete the Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem I believe, depending if you consider Lips a full member or not.

    Is it just me or is everything that comes out of ideas arts/entertainment or something that could be called a piece of retro art these days. Where is the science and tech stuff? Maybe Lego just needs to have a separate Movies and TV theme. I dunno, so much cool science and tech stuff that they never approve. Sorry for the rant, if this is against the rules my apologies.

    Seems sketchy, how can we know if it’s in or not? I don’t want to buy a lego set I only half want just to get this, and NOT get it. For all I know it might already be out of stock.
