Glorious Crystal Beast has a whole lotta transparent azure bones after all. Sweet. Either way, it's not new that Evo seems to be gaining Nex's personality, but what I did just remember is that Evo and Nex had switched personalities and biographies in the original websites. Could that be the reason for Evo's mood change? By the way, off-topic kind of but shameless advertisement that HeroSector would appreciate help with updating.

... Boxes? Well that caught me offhand. Didn't expect to see boxes again.

(This is a prequel thing to the Striking Storm MOC). This defense robot was the very first machine developed under the Hero Factory Barrier Program. After getting approved by Mr. Makuro, the Hero designers started crafting the autonomous Tempest Shadow as a prototype for a potential line of defensive robots. Tempest Shadow was armed with a cloaking device, meant to be used for stealth strikes. Standing at the height of ten heroes, it possessed powerful twin shock daggers that could paralyze any possible threat along with a thunder whip and jet stabilizers on its feet for improved air maneuvers. Despite all the successful tests, Tempest Shadow was discontinued due to some A.I. malfunctions and replaced by a newer model. Inspired by Tacit Ronin from Pacific Rim, albeit just slightly. Was heading for a puny-yet-powerful machine, I guess I managed to do it. Gallery with more pics here.

Everything else is in the gallery. I didn't want to clutter the main post.

After the unearthing of the beasts in Antropolis City, Hero Factory realized that they didn't stand a chance against any possible threat bigger than they were. Thus, the... Jagger program was born. I have no idea what I just wrote, but a MOC needs a background I guess. Basically, after seeing Pacific Rim for the 20+th time, plus watching the Invasion from Below movie, I kind of thought of a literal LEGO Pacific Rim thingamajigger, so I went to LDD and made up this beauty based on Striker Eureka. I present you Striking Storm. Has 50 pieces according to LDD, and I tried to avoid any typical Hero build. Sure, colour's boring, I'll admit, but I couldn't think of a good enough colourscheme for it. Small gallery.

Changing bright orange to a transparent blue wasn't a nice move I guess.

Uuuuuh LewiMOC can we get the LDD file for that? I'd really like building it eventually.

Of course, a Zombie is the same thing as a wild animal possessed by an outerwordly entity. You could say Stringer is a copy of the Engineer due to both having a cowboy personality.

How could Hero Factory rip-off a movie that is a homage to Kaiju films? That's ripping off a ripoff Kaiju film. Just because two things are similar doesn't mean they're copied. Homages exist you know?

Yellow Nex. Absolutely.

Why is North America getting the new HF sets so late?
Vinyl Scratch replied to Zenerius's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Something I don't get though, if multiple themes were delayed 'till March due to the Lego Movie releasing in February, how come it only got delayed in North America and not worldwide? The movie is releasing the same date around the globe isn't it? -
Nah, the whole wave is Rocka and Rocka recolours. Anyway, apparently the friend that was possibly getting me a mid-sized Invasion from Below set seems to go to the USA instead of London. I thought he was going to London so he could get me Flyer Beast but ugh thanks lego for that March release date. This is so unfair.

Quaza Brain Mechs fight against the Firefighting Hero Mechs with brand new Hero Cuffs and a giant Battle Machine Dropship. I like how it sounds.

Wasn't the Villain Factory brought into plan after Breakout? Considering that the point of the Breakout was a distraction so Black Phantom could steal the blueprints of the Factory?

SPECULATION TIME. You know, seeing Jang's Jaw Beast review, I'm starting to speculate about 2015. I don't think they'll drop the minifigures, nor do I expect them fighting against any kind of wildlife again (hopefully), but I'm hoping that next year Hero Factory goes nuts and has giant robots against the Heroes in more complex mechs. I really don't feel they're going to drop the minifigs after the positive feedback they've been getting. But wildlife is already bothering me, we've had three years of Heroes vs. Wildlife and I'm getting bored about it. Have Villain Factory use giant mechs. Mechs vs. Mechs. That's what I'd like to see. ... That sounds like Exo Force but whatever. On-topic though, I have the chance to pick up any of the mid-sized sets before they release here officially (which would be around... December I guess, lol). I was thinking of getting Flyer Beast vs. Breez, but I don't know if to get that or get one of the three mechs. Suggestions?

They were kidnapped by Von Nebula and will be seen in the Villain Factory theme coming 2015 which will feature Goriz and the Dark Maker. Absolutely. Indubitably. Seriously though, pretty sure it's just the set designers aren't coming up with good enough designs for them for whatever reason. And since they don't have sets for them they aren't included in the storylines. Besides they were gone two years, probably will return for the 2015 sets. If they don't return next year THEN that's when we'd need to fear the worst.

Where have Nex and Stringer gone off to?
Vinyl Scratch replied to Kalhiki's topic in LEGO Action Figures
This really feels like Transformers Animated. And I absolutely love it, just magnificent. -
That's... Kind of the objective for the episodes, isn't it? Advertising the Hero Factory sets?
-
I have to say that, errors aside, Invasion from Below was really an extraordinary thing for being the first CG Action Figure LEGO film that actually has shown the main heroes without their helmet. Every other film from BIONICLE and Hero Factory always had them from the back when they had their masks/helmets off, this is the first time that we've seen their heads straight-on. ... And god it's ugly. But oh well.

Anyone Prefer Hero Factory Over Bionicle? Reasons Why I Do.
Vinyl Scratch replied to Mephek's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Is this meant to be a bad thing? Look at the Mistika and Phantoka lines, sure, they were cool, but at first glance you wouldn't think they're returning characters. If they didn't say they were the Toa Nuva then I would've still thought they were new Toa.- 33 replies

Okay just beat the game. EDIT: Voice Actors: Evo - Justin Murphy Stormer - Peter Sepenuk Bulk - Chad Randau Breez - Karen Strassman Furno - Chad Randau Surge - Justin Murphy Rocka - Christopher Smith Female Pilot - Karen Strassman Battle Machine Voice - Karen Strassman Antropolis Mayor - Peter Sepenuk Foreman Worker - Christopher Smith Assistant Worker - Peter Sepenuk Fanboy Worker - Chad Randau Five voice actors voiced all of the characters from a 22 minutes (?) movie, wow. Surprised they got Karen Strassman in, she voiced Kitana and Mileena in Mortal Kombat 9 and millions of characters in anime shows. Haven't really heard of the rest thoguh.

The full episode can be seen in the game, albeit it still seems kind of rushed. There's specially no mention of Flyer Beast at all.
-
It really does. They've all changed and there's no hint at all of any giant mastermind like Von Nebula or the Brain Maker. Really weird.
-
Actually, playing the game now, they've got new VAs. All of them. And Evo's personality got changed yet again. I fear that Nex and Stringer were deleted and their personalities were given to Evo and Breez...
