So I finally finished the top and the sides of the Lair......the interior is mostly done, but is not quite presentable just yet. On to pics...... I started running out of grey pieces, so the side isn't as detailed as the front. I changed the faces of my Forestmen to some that gave them a little more character (they are all Star Wars faces ).

Thanks. Yeah that issue will be addressed. I am designing a system that will enable it to be opened by a single person. I was just showing the "initial" opening, where multiple people were required to open it.

Thank you sir. the rocks in Maydayartist's giant medieval town inspired me. Here is a small update: The Forestmen are still hard at work on their lair, they just finished the camouflaged main entrance and are opening it up. Well, most of them are working.....one lazy bum is about to get a rude awakening Overall view....

One thing I've noticed about this forum is that searching is a lot harder. In most forums I'm on, when I search, it searches the title of the thread. On EB, it seems to search for keywords instead, which makes it a lot harder to get accurate results. You can fix this however. Next to the search bar, there is the Advanced button. If you click on that, it will help you narrow down your search, and hopefully make it easier to find what you are looking for.

I do my best building spontaneously......there are times where I can't build anything decent, no matter how hard I try. And then there are times where the pieces just seem to come together by magic

Hey EB! This is my first MOC since coming out of the dark ages (5 years). I was inspired to build this when I was looking at my Camouflaged Outpost set, but wanted something a little bit bigger. It is still a work in progress, but the front is almost done. I will update as I finish the interior, sides, and top. Here are a few pictures......(sorry if they are kind of blurry, the lighting in my room isn't that great, and I don't have a good camera) Notice how the Forestmen are always on the alert, they have their tools in their hands, but their weapons are within reach! I hope to have more updates this weekend! Any comments, suggestions, and criticism are welcome! I can take it, believe me

Here is something I found in the Wikipedia article, So in effect, the chasers would be carriage mounted, therefore they would be counted for a ship's gun rating.
-
like the Wikipedia page says, ships were rated with a certain amount of guns when they were commissioned. Once they were in service, however, the captains could change the armament as their mission required. So a ship could be rated as a 28-gun frigate, but could have 30, or 32 guns if the captain wanted them.

Hahaha I love these! Especially the Z, I love the oni-camber in the rear with the stretched tire Great work!

I love this set. I got it about 5 years ago from my grandma, she found it at a garage sale. It had the instructions and the box, though both are a bit worn. The box still has the price tag on it......$21.99!!!! The only pieces it is missing are the feathers for 5 of the forestmen.....but those where replaced by multi-plumed feathers of the same color. But all in all, for free I'm not complaining!

thanks again guys. I only have about half of my Lego collection at home.....the rest is at my aunt's house. Hopefully next time I go down to her house I can pick the rest up, and start building some MOCs.

my first set was 1713 Shipwrecked Pirate

Just one, the Load N' Haul Railroad that I've had forever. Hopefully after college I can afford to buy more......

Oh nice! I actually have about 8 hours in a Tecnam P92 Echo Super (same plane, different engine). I flew it while the Cessna was down for maintenance. Its actually a pretty fun plane....its got great visibility for a high wing, and it performs pretty well and I love the stick instead of the yoke. And its big enough for me (I'm 6'3" and the Cessna can be a little cramped). The thing I like about Cessna is the solid feeling while flying and landing. The Tecnam always seemed a little bit jittery to me, especially while on final approach with a little bit of wind. With the Cessna, its a lot easier to keep on track, and it makes you look like a better pilot while landing

Yes I flew a Cessna 150. Its a great little plane when you don't have an instructor and its not hot out.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone! I've been browsing though a lot of pages the last couple of days, and I've been amazed at some of the creations I've seen. The Pirates theme has always been my favorite, and some of the member's MOC ships are outstanding! Hopefully once I'm out of college and making decent money, I can start amassing bricks for creations of my own.....

Wow. from an engineers standpoint the design is amazing. The frame in particular is stunning. Great job!

here are a few of my Disney themed drawings that I've been doing as of late.....

Here are some of my drawings. So, since I'm bored, I thought I'd post up some, along with my current drawing projects. Hope you enjoy. This is probably only about 1/2 of my collection. Comments and criticisms are welcome. High School: I started out drawing cars my freshman year. These are after I had about a years worth of practicing that I started getting decent. After a while, I kinda got bored drawing cars, so I decided to draw some planes....... Then I decided to get a little more technical, and do some blueprint style drawings...... After that, I didn't really draw for a while. Recently though, I challenged myself to do some angle drawings, instead of the profile ones that I'd done up until that time. This was my first attempt. Next was my friend's car. And these are my current projects. Nissan 370Z Toyota Supra my other friend's car sorry if the pics don't work.....my internet and Photobucket have both been wigging out today

I'm 100% white......but made up of Dutch, German, Croatian, English, and a tiny bit of Native American. Cool fact: my great-grandfather was able to trace his family back to one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, Josiah Bartlett.

Paramore is my favorite female-vocalist band. Here is more along the lines of what I mostly listen too......Metalcore and hard rock.
-
well my name is Corwin, but over the years my friends have called me all kinds of names.....Corweenie, Corweiner, Corweenis, and as of late.....Corweena. It stuck, and I actually like the name now.

Me right after I got my pilot's license. one of the happiest days of my life

My parents got me my first set when I was 4.....and many more soon followed. Soon 95% of my allowance was being used to save for the next set. I credit Lego with sparking my interest in designing things....now I'm studying aerospace engineering and will be designing aircraft and spacecraft when I graduate. I haven't bought any sets for quite a while.....in high school I bought 2 guitars and accessories, and now I have a car payment and college tuition to pay Hopefully once I graduate, I can continue adding to my collection again Lego will forever be my favorite toys though.....nothing even comes close!
