pure speculation here but i wonder seeing as Lego love their stud shooters whether they’ve tried to get a mould for the B2s arm to be a stud shooter built in. but anyway the “super battle pack” I think needs at least one droideka in as well as a few B2s. the Grogu escape could be 2 speeders one with clones chasing Grogu that’s the only way I can see it being worth the money unless it is a corridor scene like the dark trooper attack (which was a similar price point). is there any chance someone has seen the wrong thing and instead of the tantive boarding diorama it’s a rogue one diorama? I get now why there is only one fleet trooper in Yavin now (which is still wrong) I thought Jabbas sail barge was coming out next year? And didn’t someone say there was going to be 2 battle packs (£18 ones). what’s the odds on the midi scale shops having figures?

Could they? I mean seriously what kind of figures from the 501st have they not done. The pessimist in me I could see them redoing the 2020 set with the new helmets. honestly if it’s true that it is another battle pack it has to be another legion apart from the 501st. I mean I’d take just plain white P2 clones at this point

I do think people hold clones to a higher standard than other figures (not just in Lego). I also a lot of the time have to remind myself that Lego is primarily aimed at younger kids. I myself hated cloth pieces and capes on figures when I was younger maybe Legos focus groups and all that have fed that back to them. I think if we want 100% accuracy for Star Wars figures then you need to go to another company for that. I myself have always been a Lego fan first, and I’m happy that they have a Star Wars license. the only figures I’ve ever looked at and thought that they were hideous where all clone wars head pieces. lego has come along way in recent years. We used to have angry clone head for literally every trooper (clone, stormtrooper etc) now we have special heads for the clones and other troopers have random heads (which makes sense)

Re the Gunship is there not like a toy event or comic con coming soon that maybe they are waiting till that to do a big reveal maybe alongside the venator in the coming weeks seeing as they are the only things left to be revealed

I have a feeling Thrawn isn’t going to be in this series that much, I think he is going to be teased and maybe introduced in the last 1-2 episodes. All these villains would be overkill if they are all in for the whole season

Just don’t make sense releasing 4 expensive sets at the same time. I get the 3 for Ahsoka but cost of living atm I’m deciding on which one to buy and waiting for a sale on the others. Gunship was the big summer set along with Yavin I might be able to afford them

Is the Gunship coming out in September? If so why? Surely it would Make more sense for it to be released in August along with the summer wave. I always thought the September wave was the Ashoka wave. We were going to get 4 sets on the expensive side in September surely it would have made business sense to bring the gunship in the August wave. The only reason I can think of is the very small chance that the gunship could link to the series as well (didn’t they case a younger actress to play her in a possible flashback maybe it links to that) ?

So we in the U.K. could probably get 3 stormtroopers from the magazines for the price of one mech

I don’t want to wish list or speculate to much, but everyone on this forum is wanting one but I don’t doubt a UCS Ghost would be good but I don’t think Rebels is popular enough to ever get a UCS set let alone a new system scale set. It just hasn’t got the popularity of the OT, the prequels or the clone wars to justify Lego making one. So I think if people want a Ghost ship for their collection this will be their last opportunity to do so

It’s good news for us in Europe, but am I right in thinking the rest of the world don’t get the magazines, it might drive the brick link price down in the long term. What set is that stormtrooper from? Also I feel like it’s only recently rebels has started to become “liked” I think the chances of a UCS Ghost are really low. There are still SW fans out there who refuse to watch rebels because of the animation style and because it’s not the clone wars so I don’t think it is a good UCS candidate I don’t think rebels is still popular enough for it to sell

I like the gunship. Always was going to get it don’t think the pictures have put me off at all. has anyone else noticed past few waves now Lego have remade vehicles but based them off different scenes or locations. we had the AtSt but instead of it being an Endor set they base it on Hoth. Then the republic tank introduced the purple clones. The ATTE instead of being AOTC based it was ROTS based. Now the gunship is based on something different. I like this approach because I hope if they do decide to start remaking things that they change them enough to justify it.

I really hope we don’t get another anniversary wave. I’d prefer Lego to do sets on things we haven’t had. The whole world is obsessed with remaking things rather than coming up with something a bit new

Presume it will be similar to the UCS Star destroyer which I can’t remember if it had any internal details. I think the fact that it’s a UCS I don’t think it’ll have things like that. Pretty sure the scale of such things would be advent calendar builds.

Instagram is annoying now the hashtag is 90% MOCs and 10% one leak being posted by 50 different people. Honestly most the leaks that I’m seen/heard recently are from Tiktok. (The algorithm is a little bit to accurate for my liking)

I was hoping they would do what they did with the lion knights castle last year and release the forest men hideout with it.

Do you think when they release this they might do a GWP that is pirates themed. Sorry if something like that has been announced already and I hadn’t seen it

We need more location sets in the Star Wars range. I’m going to wait for it to go on sale anyway now because the El-Dorado fortress has come out of nowhere and is suddenly top of my wish list. in its defence when is there ever 12 figures in a single set the build does look basic but how much would the smaller Y-wing be on its own (30-40 pound minimum going by the new yoda Jedi star fighter). It ain’t bad I think the price is just too high but for me in the U.K. it’ll be on sale on Amazon or Argos come November time and that’s when I’ll get it. Also has the retail exclusive set been confirmed yet or is that a surprise set we haven’t heard about yet?

Yes that was where I was going I don’t know how far in advance lego plan their sets but the new films were coming over the next 3 years now they are not there is a gap in what potential sets there will be on the shelves which means they can make sets from existing media already released which I hope would be Disney plus shows but it probably won’t. Personally I was looking forward to the rogue squadron film but that isn’t coming out or there has been deathly silence about it

I swear I read somewhere that a lot of the films that were due in the next few years have been pushed back so there is an opportunity for them to catch up with all the missed Disney sets. I think a final battle set from the book of boba Fett is needed, I’d love a purge trooper BP from Kenobi/fallen order. Anything more from Andor would be great. Few sets from the Bad Batch wouldn’t hurt either. i have a gut feeling that next year they are going to start on prequel sets again. I wish Lego would release more battle packs. When they stopped doing them I kind of got it because they were running out of things to do it all felt bit samey. However given all the new Disney+ shows, there are at least 5-6 imperial BPs they could do, another mandalorian BP, new clone units from the Bad batch, new republic troops there are options now and they sold really well, I’m sure the new mechs will sell well but battle packs would do so much more

I didn’t realise the battle pack had 2 troopers with jet packs on. Don’t know why but I like it a bit more now. I might do what I have done for the past few years with the advent calendar and play chicken on Argos when it goes on clearance in December time. I think I’m still going to wait for a big sale for the Yavin set and maybe the star fighter.

The mechs look good but maybe needed something different in the figure line up. I wonder what ones they will do in January. The sets aren’t bad but I’m kind of relieved in the fact I’ll probably be waiting for most to go on sale as the other sets sound more interesting. out of curiosity are the clones any different to the one that came with the separatist tank a couple of years ago? (Apart from the holes in helmets that people get far too upset over)

I feel like 2024 is going to be interesting one. I’ve been thinking about what it could contain. I’ve seen other cool posts about it so thought I’d share my thoughts. I feel like the first wave will contain 2-3 sets from Mando S3 and Ashoka. The Mando one will have Gideon, Mando and Praetorian guard and maybe Grogu in his IG. it’s hard to guess the Ashoka one until we see the show. I think there will be a skeleton crew set in here somewhere. the micro fighter will almost certainly be a gauntlet (could be a tie interceptor). battle pack I’m hoping for two. Realistically I know there is one. It’ll probably be another clone one. I hope to god though that it’s the imperial beskar troopers. 2 with blasters and 2 with a staffs and shields maybe a small gun turret placement. other candidates for a battle pack, new republic fleet troopers, rebel fleet troopers and very unlikely purge troopers. in terms of other sets for the rest of the year I could see another clone wars set seeing as they have invested in putting holes In helmets I think we could probably get a set featuring a new battalion. also think we will get a few of the mechs. Probably some “good” guys to go against the ones coming this year. Maybe a Luke skywalker, a mandalorian and clone trooper one (would be quite cool if they did an IG 13 with Grogu inside. I feel like in terms of other sets for the year I think we might be getting a prequel based year maybe a new N1 star fighter (even a UCS one?) I think this years sets are quite solid I think I’ll end up getting most and hope next year is just as good. I wish that someone would make some sets from Jedi fallen order/survivor please.

It is speculation but I feel like the next few years will be more prequel/Disney+ orientated seeing as for the past 2-3 years we’ve gotten a lot of OT sets. I do get the need for new ships/characters but unfortunately I am also a sucker for a Jedi star fighter when they announced the rumour of obi wans star fighter last year I did pray it was going to be his Utapau one (blue one). its hard because there is so much Star Wars content out that Lego can’t meet everyone’s demands. I can’t believe given Jedi fallen orders success and the hype for Jedi survivor that we’ve got nothing (especially as other video games have got a Lego set). 5-10 years ago those Purge troopers would have had a battle pack of there own. I feel like a lot of the Disney+ shows had a lot of set potential, going down to one battle pack a year hasn’t helped either. I think they’ve been safe since Covid with sets Clones and OT will always get Lego money. at least some of the summer sets sound a bit different from the past years
