Just cancel the theme. If it’s $400 Schumacher Arkham then there’s no defending anything. There’s not a person out there who is asking for this. The ironic thing is both BF and BTAS show just about the same amount of Arkham and it looks remarkably similar. Why tie it in to the least liked adaptation of all time instead of the most liked?

A real Arkham is my white whale. I can't express how much I need this one to be good. I suspect it'll be BTAS based which while not ideal, is at least my second choice. I just can't see it being anything other than that or comic based. Granted, never in a million years would I have guessed a $400 batcave would be based on Batman Returns.

Summer. If the past few years is anything to go by then the smart money is on June.

I like it. It gets a bad rap, although I'm not in the corner of the people who defend it as some great misunderstood work of greatness. It's got its plusses (like you said, Kilmer just being a normal dude), and its minuses (Tommy Lee Jones, what is you doing baby?)

I'll probably take heat for this, but Batman Forever is probably as close to a comic book Batman movie as there is. Or at least it tracks as closely to the comics of its time. Agree that it's probably the one where kids would least likely associate it with a specific movie.

Well, it was also a third of the price probably because of it being like a third of the size. And inflation. Btas Asylum is basically just one shot from the outside. Plenty of room to make it Gothic if the designers choose. One way or the other, they'll have to fill in some details. I suspect we'll get the Joker Christmas tree scene as well as "The Trial" if it is indeed Btas based.

What would this even look like? A Mos Eisley type set? In the game it’s at least three different buildings if memory serves. Love the games but think I’d prefer a castle looking thing than that.

Yeah there's something wonky happening but good luck to him if he's trying to figure out how to make those two universes work.

Lol The Batman Pt II delayed to 2027. Doubt the movie comes out at this point. Would be so funny if the last thing of this universe we see is the Penguin making someone dress up like his mother.

Batman Forever is as close to a true comic movie as there is. Whether or not that’s a good thing is for you to judge.

Trailer looks good, which is a relief because the teaser looked like a CW show.

As a Batman fan above all, I’ll never complain about another Batcave but I do feel for those who really wanted a Superman set. Hopefully we get a decent fig selection but I fear it will just reuse the current Harley, Joker, and Mr Freeze. $100 is right on the borderline of “could be good, could be pretty meh”.

It’s pretty decent for BTAS, which is kinda where the theme is heading. But it’s a weird choice to redo a three year old set with it.

Man, I was hoping to grab this to get a Ledger fig but it’s so much worse than the one from 2021. Guess I’ll grab the UCS at some point. At least that has display value.

Maybe, but in a world where the black panther bust, batcave shadowbox, and Marvel logo exist I take nothing for granted

Malloy Manor has me a bit nervous for Arkham. LEGO seems to be going an unconventional route with almost every set now. I can live with either a “meh” building, or most of the figs being in jumpsuits, but not both.

The guy who spoke like a four year old also being extremely bigoted was a weird twist

Hate to break it to you but Batman’s got Superman beat by a country mile at this point

It’s either give us 20+ in jumpsuits or 10 high quality new ones. 10 figs in jumpsuits is a real kick in the nuts at $400

If I had to put money on the fig list I would bet: -Batman -Robin -Batgirl -Joker -Harley -Scarecrow -Riddler -Poison Ivy -Mad Hatter -Guard (x2) -Either a warden or Gordon -Mad Hatter

HELL YEAH. This is my dream set (in theory). Would settle for being on the lower end for the fig count (around 10) if it means a higher quality building and better figs.

I'm telling you man, it's like getting tossed in the Lazarus Pit. You can keep coming back, but you're gonna be less and less sane every time.
