Went to see "The Chronicle" with my nephews. Not knowing anything about it besides "People fly" was probably the best thing to happen to a guy like me. The story was a walking cliche, but the action and part of the story was very interesting. I enjoyed it alot. Also got to see previews for 21 jump street which looks pretty funny. All around.

Lookin' forward to that train. The plane looks amaaaazing.

Well. You could look it at like this! In ANH: They had Grandpa fighting the handicapped man. So of course it'd be slow! In Empire: They had new guy with a lightsaber fighting handicapped guy with a lightsaber. So new guy won't be doing much flipping or anything else as he's a new guy. And handicapped man is in an iron lung! In ROTJ: New guy is semi coordinated and sorta knows what he's doing, so the fighting becomes a bit better but nothing like Pre Grandpa Obi Wan and pr Iron LUng Anakin! And then we have Handicapped man still being handicapped and Great Grandpa. I don't expect alot out of those. And if you look at the writing between the two trilogies, the PT has to rely on special effects, because honestly, the stories sucked. Sure, it looked great. but c'mon. We had to watch Nascar in space for 20 minutes in one movie, and then put up with Alien Rabbit people who live underwater. All the while wondering "When the hell are we going to see Anakin not be a statue." And Attack of the clones? Whine-akin was exactly that. I had thought it would get better after he Killed some Sand people, back to whinning. Revenge: One good thing came from this movie as far as writing goes. Every line, action or shot of Obi wan. Mcgregor did such a good job with the character it's why I went to see the movie in the first place. And I was hoping for less whiney Anakin. And I was wrong. Awesome.

Batman and Robin is alot like highlander 2 and the matrix trilogy. It never happened. I had thought Ol' Joel had put the final nail in the bat-coffin on that one. Sorta lookin' forward to Justice League: doom though. Batman's the bad guy, sort of.

I wouldn't mind seeing those "Ghost Hunter" sets that the dude drew. Sure, they looked like ghost busters but who wouldn't want an ecto-1 in lego form?

With all the talk of "bring it back" as it were to the older themes, I'd rather something new. but on the other hand, what else is there to do that's actually doable? Space marines, too bloody violent for the lego groups. I personally, would like to see a space salvage crew or something. Sort of like the old rescue sets from way back when, sure it's a rehash, but more with a space theme. Space Police 3 captured the awesome that was space police 1 and 2, at least in my book, and I spent my hard earned money for a majority of the sets, but maybe a space emergency response team to go along with 'em. Maybe throw in "Space pirates" as the villians, so you'd have the salvage/rescue team and then the space pirates trying to get a piece of the action. maybe add a space monkey to the line up. Cause I mean who doesn't like monkeys?

Has anyone heard about "War Machine" being a figure? Or is it just Iron Man?

Wow, really like this one. Great comic, great build. Good job man.

Yeah I was mostly joking about the whole Bucky thing. I figured we wouldn't get it, since Bucky was left in limbo from the last flick. I'd imagine that Captain America 2 would throw a hint at us that Bucky's kickin' around. And then the third ((If it goes that far)) would revolve around bucky being the winter soldier. But those are hair brained ideas from a comic book nerd. KNowing our luck they'll try to cram it into a 2 hour movie.
-
Might be Bucky/winter soldier.

Maybe it's Bruce Wayne sweatin' in the 80's.

Sheesh talk about silly villians! All they have to do is look down the road to see where Batman's secret lair is! >.> <.< Impressed as usual. Good job man.

First of all, great design, I like the cockpit the best. Don't get me wrong, I know steam punk is supposed to look "Busy" ie all the engine parts, all that jazz. But I think this looks too busy.

Eh, sorta glad we haven't seen any photos yet. The super hero stuff was a mild let down, I'm sorta worried about the marvel wave.

Touche sir! And I agree with ya about the "icon" and nw's wheels. I actually didn't like Cassie at all, Babs was fun and all, but I was actually thinking that my favorite batgirl was "huntress" during the no man's land stint. Wacky I know. Making Babs walk again ruined a great comic in my mind. The killing joke and a death in the family were solid in my opinion and then DC said just kidding. Jerks

Should update it to Kord Tower. Before the "new 52" garbage she was given the tower by Bruce as part of the Batman Inc plan. I may disagree with your choice of "best batgirl" but, the build is nice and looks dead on for the clocktower from the comics. If you go through some back issues of nightwing he does have a set of wheels, it's a muscle car, almost alot like a charger painted, you guessed it blue and black. Though I think it was used maybe a dozen times, maybe less? He did the whole soar above the city or in the city thing, stupid trapeeze artists, sheesh. Like I said earlier though! I like the build alot, the elevator and clock are probably my favorite features of the place. Looking forward to part 3. Maybe we'll see the bat "bunker" or even GCPD.

The question would be a neat little mini figure. Not the Montoya one, but the other one. And such. Maybe even a booster gold. As far as "big sets" I'd like to see a wayne manor set. Kinda like hogwarts where it came in seperate pieces and all that. The avengers Mansion would be pretty awesome ala hogwarts. Maybe a street battle scene where the hulk goes nuts.

Just finished Book 2 in Salvatore's Neverwinter stuff. Seemed like fan service to me.

Ds9, season 3-7 was probably the best "trek" I've ever watched. Still enjoy the films and a majority of the books.

Red Hood and the outlaws, anyone else reading this? I like it a bit, I hope they "fix" Jason and all that. It's pretty interesting so far, but Starfire not remembering Dick Grayson kinda bothers me a bit. Also, is Young Justice taking a seasonal break. or something?

Entertainment's success is determined by 2 factors that matter to people that fund said entertaining piece of technology/art whatever. According to a marketing perspective. 1. Revenue, if you make something and sell alot of it, congradulations you're a success. 2. Critics: If they like it, you're golden. Before I go on, I'll say this, this is a marketing stand point. Back in the 80's/mid 90s every adventure movie had a toy that went with it, every saturday morning cartoon, action figures and play sets galore. Lego was the exception as they didn't have any big boy licenses behind them and sold, pardon the phrase "Generic brand" of action figure thingy. Kids bought the action figures, tv shows ran. Look at TMNT stuff's been around from the mid 80's, and thanks to a semi "Successful", see above, movie franchise it can prosper and grow. Marketing is a fun and interesting situation. batman will sell to kids and adults. The movies will make 20 somethings and older teens get their fan boy on, the independent movie crowd, who will complain about Nolan "Selling out" as opposed to finally being appreciated for the film making he does, will complain but still go see the film. Exceptions. 1. Fan boy isms: Alot of people will be a cult following. ROcky Horror did piss poor in theaters. But, loads of people to this day still do the shows, buys the merch, etc. When the goth market sky rocketed thanks to Manson and other dark bands, or whatever, everyone was a sweet transvestite from Transylvania. Fans hardly every bring something back, Family guy, Futurama are pretty awesome examples. /weep firefly. And finally, personel taste. I like the batman flicks, the nolan ones idealize the vision of batman that I've always wanted to see. Others don't. Personel taste is fun for the whole family. Someoen could say why something is successful because they like it, but from a marketing point of view, money and critics are what make the world go around. Like it or not. Ps The Keaton batflicks were good, I enjoyed the first oen alot. Batman Forever was good because it was camp done right, B and R? Well much like Highlander 2 or the matrix "Trilogy" they don't exist in my universe. Personel taste. Good times. You could argue that taste is dumb and yada yada, but the key factor is personel. Not everyone will like what everyone else does, and that's ok. :)

Wife got me the Millenium falcon, the Apple tree house, the little speed boat, PQ's motorcycle, K-9 Unit, 10 S5 Minifigures, the new small ninjago set, poly bag of harry potter, ninjago and city police, new ninjago minifigure pack, a lego alarm clock, and finally a boba fett watch. Which I am wearing. Did I mention I'm almost 30? >.> My co-workers have given me some odd looks. My wife went all out :) She also ordered the batcave for me, and it will get here sometime soon. My nerdy friend coworker gave me an old rock raiders set, the big moving transport thing, so that's pretty awesome.

Bane/knight fall killed bats for me, no man's land brought me back, and then Hush made me solid again. killing off BW made me sigh alot. Anywho! Year one. Dead on to MIller's work. The story isn't great, but that's a comic book movie..thing, that paid close attention to the source. I guess it would have to be. I could defend Nolan's choices in film making all I want, but I won't. I enjoy his work alot, some folks don't. I think the next flick will be a good popcorn flick and probably wrap things up nicely. Bring on the Superman/Batman movie already.

It's important to remember this, about the Nolan Films: They're nolan films guest starring Batman. I think folks are looking far into this. Alot of version of batman have been done. As far as not looking at the source material I can only shake my head. Bruce's training was depicted as learning what it means to be a criminal, in the comics bruce went to go learn how to combat a criminal, newsflash, gotta be one one for a bit to think like one. Joker, in the comics, particular in the killing joke he says he prefers to have a multiple choice when it comes to his history past, whatever. Nolan took that idea nd ran with it, I, unlike alot of "hard core" batman fans weren't a fan of the lack of an origin. Giving something an origin, like a sadistic clown that pulls off heists, ruins the fear that runs through the idea. sure, Jack Napier/red hood/bored criminal falls into a vat o' chemicals, suprise Joker. I prefered the "One of the inmates from Arkham." Ok, so he's nuts, how nuts is he? The mystery is what made me go "Hey, this joker idea is awesome." I know I don't stand alone on that but I think alot of bat-fans were putting out soap boxes and ranting. Whatever, it's the internet. Scarecrow, the idea was fantastico. It was a realistic version of the charachter. Ras, I was a little mad that he wasn't as he was in the comics, but for the movie, and the idea of the villian, it worked fine. I disagree with killing him off, but them's the breaks. Lucious Fox/ Jimmy Godron, So, you're telling me that the two smartest side charachters in the bat-universe couldn't figure out that Bruce is batman? Really? Gordon's one of the best cops in the city, if not the best, and Fox was a genius. The connection with bruce wayne and batman might as well be neon lights with fireworks for those two. Logical progression in a movie like these requires this sort of thing to happen. It's like Perry White not knowing Clark Kent isn't Superman, he's too good of a reporter not to figure it out. Two-face: For the movie he served his purpose. In one comic in particular, where they pulled some of the source for, He wasn't a dominating factor as Twoface until the last 50 pages of a graphic novel. In short, read more. Edit, I'm not trying to ruffle feathers or kick someone while they're down, but it really irks me when "comic book" fans get mad about a movie. I've said it before, I'll say it again. They'll never be as good as the actual comic. ever. The watchmen being the exception. /end fanboy rant. I do prefer the comics over the movies, but I'm able to seperate the two genres. If that makes sense. Movie Batman is totally different the comic book batman and that's a-ok with me.

Lothos came from Quantum Leap, it was the evil super computer that sent the evil leapers through time. It's aslo the name of the vampire from Buffy the vampire slayer: the movie. name just sort of caught on and stuck with me for awhile.
