  1. I go to my local wal mart about twice a week for legos. I've overheard the adult/parent conversation about megablocks and legos. The dad, a friend of mine from high school, not really a friend but a dude I knew, was trying to convince his son that the mega blocks halo stuff was simply nonsense and he would help said son with modding some parts so he could make his own little halo thing. I looked over and nodded at said dad. He looked at me and said to his son "See, even Jeff knows the difference, if you dont want to take it from me, take it from him." I have a bit of a reputation around town as the guy that held build events in his garage and at the local comic shop, the kid knew me from pokemon saturdays and agreed. I've also helped out older folks, grandparents get something for their grand child. Ran into one of them at one point after they bought their kid the space police hq and galactic enforce..big megablocks space ship. ((Lucky little kid)) They thanked me for the advice and said that he enjoyed both sets. Speak up, explain what quality over quantity means. Parents will see the bigger bang for the buck all the time, but when it comes to a toy that'll last, lego is hand's down the best.
  2. Saw paranormal activity 3. Recently re watched Trainspotting. Good flicks entertaining at least.
  3. Reminds me of the animated series from the early 90's. Good stuff all around.
  4. Farscape. Maybe a Moira playset sort of like the republic frigate, throw in the main charachters and a special section for pilot. A battle pack of some peace keepers and John. A scorpio's lab or something along those lines. Talon with the other..main bad guy. Dargo and his ship, Chrichton and his shuttle whats her name and her fighter.
  5. My father took an interest in legos again with me at about the same time I did. He challenged me with building something I hadn't before. And after watching a few movies, reading a book or two, this is what happened.
  6. Betraying her father for the umpteenth time, Talia relies on her "beloved" to help her escape the league and possibly stop the Demon's head himself.
  7. Some friends document their day at the lake.
  8. Currently re-reading the Dragonlance books, well, nothing passed the twins trilogy. And reading the neverwinter series, i'm still a drizzt fan after all this time.
  9. Year one was spot on to the comic. The only complaint I had, was the guy who did Batman/bruce wayne's voice. It was lack luster. It screamed terrible and it almost made me turn the movie off. But really, it followed the comic to a T. I've picked up the new 52, and being a long time batman reader, I've discovered this. I prefered the Dick Grayson Batman. Now I know that's crazy, but I would have liked to see Tim Drake and Dick doing the dynamic duo. Damian Wayne is meh imho. I do enjoy the Teen Titans though. I just sort of wish they didn't press the reset button on the whole Universe. And what the heck is happening with Superman? Bums me out.
  10. Hello, I'm Jeff, I'm 28, I enjoy building things with legos, of course, watching movies and reading. Also, I have weakness to weiner dogs.
