  1. Lightning is great. The video on your Instagram shows it best. Fantastic build overall. As a Clipper owner I like the small addition to the original, the barrels and ladder
  2. I didn't know there is name for this technique, but after some detective work (mainly using google and hitting the first result) I see there is lot to learn here https://swooshable.com/ Thanks for teaching me that. P.S. Congrats on achieving 100 supporters!
  3. I love the Church rocky surrounding
  4. Well that can easily be the case, but that gives us new can of worms question: 'Who' (what superpower or entity past or present) gets to determine 'the objective' on which we therefore do our best to apply the meaning?
  5. We live in the universe which is based on entropy, meaning everything will eventually deteriorate and overall everything we do is pointless (very nihilistic I know). But that is not the point, the question is did we have a blast while we lived, while we rebelled against the pointlessness. Your sails will deteriorate in time either way, question is how did you enjoy them better during your lifespan, in zip bag or on full display? Let us rather run the risk of wearing out than rusting out - Roosevelt
  6. Aha! Just what I thought. Thank you very much for clearing this up for me, this nice feature will be quite useful for my future comics
  7. That would be my choice also, looks great, but then again, they all look great.
  8. Is this the original? https://www.nationalhistoricships.org.uk/register/1125/peggy The ship looks great. I love the frame and blue sea around the ship. The technique you used for hull is eye catching, interesting really. How sturdy is the structure when you pick up the ship? I gave you my support on Ideas
  9. Question: this image was rendered in Studio, right? How did you manage to make the candle light like this? Do you paint the flame in 'special' color to achieve this effect in render?
  10. This is very well build and clever MOC. While 'sharing is caring' and 'he who shares wins' you should definitely consider putting the final instructions on Rebrickable for few €uros. I would say it could be easily in the top 20% of best Pirate-themed builds which are offered there at the moment of writing. And the video (even in Italian) is great addition. You can always write and add English subtitles inside the video, but even when I watched it on mute I could see everything what you were trying to say or show. Great effort
  11. Here is something 'spooky'. Just yesterday I had my regular Sunday movie afternoon with my three 8+ years olds, and we were in a treat for some open-sea catamaran action. Yes you guessed it, we watched Waterworld and in the following post-movie discussion my nephew said it would be cool to do some catamaran (or trimaran) out of LEGO. Imagine my surprise today when I saw your two topics So, do you have in your [WIP] portfolio any trimaran from Waterworld? I love the sail on this one, the print.
  12. There is nothing like the feeling when you transform your digital creation into solid and everything turns out to be OK Well done, great build honestly
  13. I think the shape and the curves are well done, and it would certainly be a shame not to take a few tries and convert this into something solid and playable. I already have a small vessel on my mind which would be perfect candidate for the experiment. I'll let you know, maybe this year, how that turned out
  14. Great pictures, and great custom rowboat
  15. It looks fantastic, and the building technique of the sloop is interesting and (from my point) worth studying more. Quick question: how stable is the sloop? Is it only for display or this construction could survive light play by say careful ten-year old?
  16. C'mon, how many time have you been featured on front-page via LEGO Technic section? Your future is here, after all most of these beautiful ships need excessively complicated rudder mechanism to steer or to raise anchor
  17. Master artists do the painting and then wisely leave audience and the critics to debate what was he trying to say in the picture.
  18. Great little build, I too very much like what you did with tile-corners. And when the psychodramas and the traumas of hangover passed, the doomed mariner observed his white feathered companion who circled the island and sang loudly, proudly and rather unpleasantly even for the sober ear. Sometime later the cruel creature finally had enough and decided to land and rest on the palm tree. Mariner moved slowly. Without looking he grabbed the bottle, never leaving his one good eye from the great maestro. He took aim. One shot is all he’s got. One shot is all he needs. Seagull never knew what hit him. He plucked one feather from his wing and in his own blood wrote a distress message on the backside of the map. He took aim once more and the bottle flew. The strong ocean current will now do the rest. Aye, the rum is gone, but the lunch is about to be served. Poor unlucky seagull.
  19. Thanks for info Mister Phes This is outstanding front picture, great background and the waves splashing just wow, great
  20. I'm not a long time member of this forum and in this short amount of time I have seen some extraordinary MOCs and ideas, but this, this is by far the best thing so far that caught my eye. Fantastic work!
  21. Your answer only begins to show how much mental energy, effort and planning ahead goes in the project of this scale. I can only wish you best of luck on your voyage and, as many others here, I'm looking forward to Season-2
  22. Just curious, do you first write screenplay (or similar) with scenes, characters and dialog and then go building MOCs and go in production... or you write the story along the way while building MOCs? What is your process? By the way, I really loved the first season. Great dialog
  23. Now there is, here is the link. https://bricksafe.com/files/maroonedmarin/miscellaneous/Warty-Transp.png
  24. I especially love the picture from the back looking at the stern. It really shows the great curves and effort to pull that off. Well done. Question: Not counting the digital sails, how much parts and bricks goes in this beauty?
