The pictures really tell all, nice review Grevious! I especially liked the story, great sense of humor!

LOL! What's next, boasting about how big your lightsaber is? :-D

Seems like fun, playing a Castle themed game with other Eurobricks members. One slight problem, I haven't the faintest clue how to play D&D, so you'd have to explain the rules to me. Do you think you could set up a game like that?

Personally, I think the new Castle theme is one of the greatest LEGO themes currently in production. So far, it has brought us brave Knights, undead Skeletons, Trolls and Dwarfs, creating an interesting and diverse fantasy universe. I'm probably not the only one here who would love to see this theme to be continued for many years to come, both expanding existing factions as well as introducting new ones. Which brings me to my question to you: What Castle related themes, factions and sets would you like the LEGO Company to produce over the next couple of years?

Got up early, went to work, got home again after work, pretty much the same as yesterday. Played warcraft for about an hour when I got home today, until the game crashed (again). Games usually tend to crash when my computer has been on for more than an hour. I so need a new computer! *wacko*

LOL, probably true! But I'm too much of a nice guy I guess, seeing her happy makes me happy too you know :-$ Great second half of the comic Hinckley, couldn't keep myself from laughing out loud, especially at the end. Also, that's a very nice MOC, the layout of your mine seems much more practical! I see you got yourself a second Dwarfs Mine set, I think that answers my question whether or not this set is worth the money! :-D

Those were my first thoughts as well, but the age didn't fit. Thanks for enlightening us Hinkley!

Welcome to Eurobricks Nyundi, have a nice stay! I noticed that several people changed their minds about which dragon they like best once they actually got the new Castle dragon, so there must be something to them. I'm quite curious about them and would love the chance to actually see one up close. Perhaps I would change my mind about them as well, LOL! The old style dragons never appealed to me much though, too small and a great lack of articulation. By the way Batbrick, what does 'TTFN!' stand for?

According to his profile, the person above me has a great interest in the Napoleonic era and loves the Sharpe series. (I have actually seen that series some time ago, and I also liked it. Have you seen the Hornblower series as well?) He is also interested in hedgehogs and *cough*TRAITOR*cough* Megablocks. :-D

By the way Hinckley, I was wondering... if you are nearly 31, then why the '39' in your username?
-
Hinckley, since you already got the set, may I ask you a question? It seems TLC has another great Castle line-up for the coming year, but I simply don't have the money to go buy the entire line (girlfriends cost money too you know, LOL). Would you say the Dwarfs Mine is worth picking up?

If it's 50 US dollars, it'll probably be around 50 euros as well, maybe a bit more even. Sets usually tend to be a bit more expensive over here.

OMG, that water is a SNOT-technique! I just assumed it was made of a bunch of tiles! 8-

Judging from the big picture of the wizard in the catalog, it would seem they got rid of most of the starry prints, which instantly makes him look a lot more appealing. Still, would've liked him even more in dark blue. Not only would dark blue be more in accordance to the Crownies' colorscheme, in my opinion it's just a nicer color for a wizard anyway.

I really hope this set becomes available in Europe as well soon, because if it does, I definitely know what I want for christmas this year X-D

Great review Hinckley, the pictures you provided really show this set in all its details. And I also enjoyed the first half of the comic. You really put in a lot of humor, adding the sigfigs of so many other members! :-D

Which Is Better to get Western or Pirates?
TheFrisian replied to Joey Lock's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Actually, I had a lot of fun playing with Pirates when the theme was first launched. My bedroom witnessed some major sea battles, in which the ships often ended up half demolished (I used to shoot rubber bands at them to simulate battle damage :-$). Oh the good memories! So, I may be a little biased, but I'd definately have to say Pirates! -
If 16 is considered senior, I must be in my grave already, since I'm 29! 8-

Yesterday I took my girlfriend out to see the movie Stardust, which is a really nice movie by the way. And today I took her to a nice restaurant, enjoying both the exquisite food and the conversation. So we're having a great weekend! Too bad the weekend is officially over in about ten minutes from now :-D

Nice topic, I was kinda wondering about some of the titles people have around here! I had a blast reading about some of the background stories. Makes me wonder what title they come up with for me, if and when an admin thinks I need one. I sure hope it's something I can live with, LOL! By the way, is there anybody on this forum who got to choose his own title?

Great setup you have there Hinckley, no wonder your pics turn out so well ;) And I'm surprised someone actually read the background story of my username, LOL! And I have to agree, brick built carts are so much nicer than pre molded parts! *sweet*

By the way, great photography Hinckley, the quality of your pics is amazing! *y*

Thanks for sharing these great pics Hinckley! I just *love* the new factions, both the Dwarfs and the Trolls are superb! I wasn't sure I was going to get this set, but after seeing your pics of the minifigs, I'm definitely tempted! :-D

Great find Natelite! I'm pleased to see that they haven't changed too much in the final product. The beards are just superb, since they are so typical of the Dwarf stereotype. Also the two new Dwarf helmet designs stand out to me, and the brick built hammer is a nice touch. However, I'm surprised to see they've chosen to do a tan Troll instead of sand green. Makes me wonder what color the big Trolls are going to be in the other sets. Also, I'm sorry to see they didn't make a new helmet for the minifig trolls. Admitted, the "supreme wigs" were absolutely horrible, but something designed more in the line of the big Trolls headgear would've been nice. Still, I think its a great set!
