Getting ahead of myself here seeings theyre not out until August, but apparently the Monster Fighters exclusive set is the Zombies 9465 - not sure who it'll be but perhaps TRU? Think that's their US exclusive. Given it's 40EUD it might be pricey...

They do - it's called Sydney. Pretty much all of their stuff comes via there.

MVR was at Kmart for $60 in January as was the Atlantis set if I recall correctly. Still, if you're wanting one now I gues it's not too bad, although I think the Atlantis set may be cheaper at Big W at the moment.

Did you happen to try and put through orders on them successfully?

Sooo, has this happened to anyone else? I received an email saying my R2 had shipped on Monday/Tuesday, received my receipt Wednesday night then yesterday morning received another email saying that it was delayed due to ubexpectedly high demand. Errr huh?

Well, my order is now showing its status as 'Shipped', today the 8th of May. I placed my order on the phone on the 4th, as I was not able to put through my transaction on the website due to some problem they had. Didn't get the extra code show up that a couple of you mentioned and haven't had points added to my account yet.

Mine is 'In Process' also. Just curious - did anyone else use VIP points and have had their points deducted but haven't had the points from their order *added* to their account yet? Just want to check before I have to email them...

I called the phone line and placed my order over the phone without any problems. I'd emailed the site but they said my account looked fine. Think it must have been some kind of database glitch, affecting only certain accounts.... Hope you got your orders through...

Nah you just get the one minifig sorry Brickmamba! After trying all day to get the website to work I called the UK and put my R2 order through over the phone. I'm really looking forward to motorizing him!

I told a lie, you can still get VIP points on the remainder of your order value. Pity I can't actually get my order to go through! Arrrghharrrrrgh! (and yes, that is the correct Oxford English spelling of that word)

Yeah all the free stuff shows up, just won't click through to the final order complete page. Will have to give them a call tonight when the UK line is open if it's not sorted by then. I left a message in Sydney but by the time they call back in a weeks time it'll be a bit irrelevant!

Yep, you can't earn points for a transaction where you're also redeeming points, dangnammit! Might have to bite the bullet and order tomorrow then. Geez, that's two orders from S@H in the last two months now - curse TLG and their savvy pricing! And me for my inability to wait six months for a set to be stocked locally and discounted. Who knows though, could be a Big W exclusive and never stocked at a decent discount like the Imperial Shuttle or Obi Wan UCS sets. Oh well, think I'll just do it and add it to the massive pile of unbuilt sets (12 months worth) I have waiting until I finish my specialist exams in three weeks. Distorme, I think I'm more jealous of the trip itself than the Lego discount :P

Lol yes this was sort of my reasoning too, only I was considering using my VIP points on it as I've been waiting to use them on an exclusive, but it may be smarter to earn the points on that set too then redeem them all for something closer to the full point value... Whatever that set will be (?Modular Haunted House) - this is how they suck you in I suppose! Bummer you can't use your points and still earn points on the remainder of the order.... :-/ Can anyone remember if TLG have free shipping more than once a year?

Does anyone know who is slated to stock the UCS R2-D2 here in Aus? I'm a bit tempted to buy it from S@H during the May 4th sale as they've priced it at that tricky differential again: $249 Aud compared to $180 USD. Won't end up saving much from ordering via Bricklink (maybe $30) and who knows how long you might wait until it's up at Amazon, and then it's no guarantee... Hmm thoughts anyone?

That REALLY isn't worth $100....

That is in keeping with their pricing of the latest Modular Building - Town Hall is $250 compared to the US' $199. Perhaps they realize their 100% mark ups on larger sets result in those sets not selling as well so they've adjusted their price vs number sold equation? Just look at the Imperial Shuttle and Fire Station modular as some examples of overpriced sets hanging around for too long... It's a shame that's not translating into the lower priced sets as well (I'm looking at you Super Heroes) but as I'm predominantly a larger set collector I'll take it! I know it's made me reassess where I purchase from - the Town Hall was the first time I'd purchased from the S@H website ever, as I knew I wouldn't be able to source it from overseas much cheaper anytime in the near future, and it isn't worth my time to wait six months for a maybe DJs sale and take a few hours out of my day to rush in to try and get one on sale. So their pricing change has succeeded in changing the purchasing behaviour of at least one AFOL!

Picked up my Architecture Opera House from DJs today. It's pretty ugly but probably the only rendition we're likely to see. Probably still not worth it at 20% off either!

Ouch, you New Zealanders get even more stiffed on prices than us Aussies :-/ Our rrp on the Town Hall is $250! I had it delivered for $265 in total as I split postage with a couple of others. It's a good set for our price but not as nice for you guys even factoring in the exchange. Tomfish have you looked at amazon lately? Not sure if they have the 10188 still but for quite a while they'd have them come in and out of stock at cheap (ie 400 aud) prices...

Wouldn't the easiest way to answer that question to be to do a search on eBay?
