  1. no offence, It's just our experience. We are driving this event from 2016 or earlier. First we had two groups: with open diffs and factory stock detailed offroaders, and locked diff unimited offroaders. Adult fans preferred first one. As for manual locking diffs: whole idea is to pass the track without touching car by hands, because there is a thin line between turn on locker/low gear and help car by hand when it stuck somewhere. Madoka designed self locking diff - but it means it can be adjusted to trun on too early, like there is no open diffs at all. In real world majority of 4x4/SUV have only transaxle locker, incuding Land cruisers, and front/rear locker as option: with wide suspensrion travel and weight of car - it's enough (even safer for transmission in lame hands). So, talking about open diff cars in this event - it is not 100% true. Center differential is missing, so it means its locked. Just add proper suspension travel and correct weight balance. Here is old video with open and locked diff
  2. With closed diffs it is much easier to pass obstacles and no need to work with weight distributionand and suspension (actually it may not work at all) of model . Also no need to select best route. Less engineering, less driving skills needed. Driving closed diffs more like a sprint race. We don't like easy ways.
  3. Great engineer work! Modularity is a I take time to repost all your Toyotas to my russian social accounts)
  4. in the same time, new Corvette, McLaren Senna and Koenigsegg look more accurate and recognizable. With a lot of new small panels and LEGO system pieces used in latest Technic sets, task is much easier than before,
  5. Better to be GTA's Dinka Jester, than LEGO's Supra
  6. door frame as headlight patience to you p.s.: nice looking VAZ 2106
  7. @paave again could easily hit all your arguments, but wont do that. Now it’s clear - your personal negative relation behind all that. No reason to discuss further. All others, exuse me that you had to read all that.
  8. What kind of official regulation you want? The body is just a slighlty simpified mod of NOT your creation. All the proprotions, angles, dimensions, sizes and fixing points between main body elements the same. Changing one element with another similar size is not making design yours: front light part "window" replaced with alternative headlight of the same size, grille between lights the same. Bonnet of the same size connected with the same angle, you just simplified its shape, are you sure you made design better? Windshield frame the same, even lower A pillar connected with half stud vertical offset. Roof, doors, overal cargo bed design with shortened front part and totally the same rear end. Width, height, only shortened length. Yes, lego parts are limited and I made a lot of improvements and updates many time, this don't mean "nobody can do it anymore", but if you can't do it other way knowing that existing idea is best match, then build other scale to be unique or call the thing with proper names: You are selling without permission/notification/credits just a mod of not your model on your own chassis, and till this moment trying to argue and show off.
  9. No BTTF here at all: - wrong color - wrong wheelbase/bed length - wrong cabin size (I have correct version for you) - no BTTF styling accesorries
  10. Yes, but when it is the same model and same scale size, samу key konnecting points and measures between them, where majority of key design elements use the same lego pieces combinations - where is a coincidence? I can believe you If you did not see my “234144154“ versions “234144154” times. But you saw it, and knowing you can't do it alternative way without stealing model you still call it own. As an experienced builder you should know that 80% of success in design is to find right shape. In modern lego technic it means - using right panels putting it to right places and angles. I see that your reaction is more offensive that my comment. Purpose of post is not to prohibit, but to follow simple ethics. U can reuse, call it your own, and sell. But it is not correct. Also I did not do 234144154 models. You are wrong again, Pavel.
  11. You are good designer with a lot of good models, but I confused... why can't you say that body is cop...inpsired by other design with minor changes and simpifiactions? even seat headrests...Not a tragedy, but...
