XR7 Mini Rally Car
Finntech replied to Sheepo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Now this is kind of car I like! Very efficient and seems to be very rugged, no power loss for frictioning gears. I'm definitely going to try build this one! -

Lego 1038
Finntech replied to mind storm's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi, Have you check peeron.com? http://peeron.com/inv/sets/1038-1 I'm not too familiar with the site, but it is maybe possible to download the instructions after registering? Maybe someone else could confirm this. -
1h 2012 models
Finntech replied to JunkstyleGio's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I've seen couple of them here also but not for the logging... For the show mainly because they looks great with all chrome stuff. "American trucks" as they are called in here. :) E: In Gekke Ted's picture is a typical "show truck" what I meant! This is what we got a lot: -
1h 2012 models
Finntech replied to JunkstyleGio's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hmm, never seen a long nose timber transport truck in a real life (except the really really old ones), so I just can't find the real life aspect from it. It still looks like a nice model so it's not that bad. -
8297 B-model (buggy)
Finntech replied to Finntech's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks! Your buggy looks great, stunning combination with 8466 wheels and black color in chassis. Your other mocs/mods looks great too. -
Would you buy these sets?
Finntech replied to Finntech's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That is a good point, but if I buy and built the supercar I probably don't want to put it in pieces at all after it's done... it looks so great. These five sets I would easily just use for the parts. The price (79€) is not that bad because lego's are quite expensive here in Finland. Even though these sets are second handed. -
Hi, What do you think is this a good offer if I'm just for the parts. These sets are in Finnis "ebay" and I'm wondering should I buy them. Total part count is about 1500 but there's probably some parts missing. All sets should be in excellent condition. 8291 - Chopper, b-model (instructions) 248 part. 8261 - Rally Truck (instructions) 198 part. 8262 - Quad Bike (instructions) 308 part. 8256 - Go-Kart (instructions) 144 part. 8263 - Snow Groomer, b-model (no instructions) 590 part. Total parts ~ 1500 Price: 79 € What do you think?

8297 B-model (buggy)
Finntech replied to Finntech's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I see... It didn't come to my mind to be honest. Thanks for the tip! -
Hi, I have own this set from 2008 but never build the B-model. Now I decided to give it a shot and also make it full RC. Specs: 2 x m-motor for propulsion (gearing 12:20) 1 x m-motor for steering 1 x m-motor for motorized chassis PF lights There's also suspension and fake V-8 engine but unfortunately no 4WD. But it's not that bad considering that it is a buggy not an "real" off-roader like A-model. It drives very well, I'm surprised that m-motors gives a relatively good speed and torque. Maybe because I use re-chargeable batteries in PF-batterybox? For me it looks like they are giving more torque than normal batteries. Weight of this car is about 1,5 kg so it's not huge but not tiny either. XL-motor would been better of course but since I don't own one I use m-motors. Pictures and video, 1:10 on the video shows the chassis function. I hope you like this mod. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnBnZ1aubj8

The Black Wolf
Finntech replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
WOW! It walks nicely, but have you though to add some grip to the bottom of the feet or should I say paws? It could make it a bit faster? -
